## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn't function properly

*2017-08-30*

The random feature, chord inversions, etc don't work. Only download the free version. This developer is charging a lot of money for a product that doesn't work on current iOS. Again, only download the free version.

### 1/5 — Very expensive

*2012-10-02*

Kind of a scam! The very expensive "full" version still has limited device...
Scales are limited to 3 notes only, aso, nothing really added on the $$ version...
And you have to pay again for complementary exercices or features!!

That is normal for the demo free version but not for 6€!!

### 1/5 — No good

*2012-05-13*

This software has bugs in it

### 1/5 — Stay away from this one.

*2011-12-03*

First I buy the app for $6.99. Then I gotta buy a solo bundle for another $6.99 and a chord bundle for another $6.99 in order to get it to do anything. Now that I have over $22 invested (with tax) the app is really lame. Matching notes to fretboard positions. Big deal! I've been lucky, this is the first app I've bought that I feel like totally ripped me off. Don't let them get you too!

### 2/5 — Fret nut

*2012-07-08*

I love this app how it can stop fret black out
How ever their is a bug in app it keeps going to first fret only when use the exercise in the c scale

### 2/5 — Leftys support?

*2012-05-01, version 1.4.3*

I began to use this as a training aide but found it confusing as I am left handed and there sadly is no option, as with some other guitar apps, to swap over to left handed.

### 2/5 — Nice, but not $15 nice.

*2011-03-17*

K. Nice app with options, but it doesn't come close to justifying the $15 price tag, especially when there are $3 apps out there with the same features (and better graphics), including some by the same developer? Odd.

### 4/5 — Bass rookie

*2013-03-22*

This is a great app for learning the fret board and sight reading! I love this app I used the free version for a while and then upgraded to the full version and it's worth every penny!

If the programmers put a selectable list of the training aspects like scrolling sheet music or note names or ear training ( sounds only ) and you could custom design your lessons: that would be awesome!

### 4/5 — Very helpful

*2012-10-27*

This app works great ! In keeps you sharp on the fretboard
The only con Is I wish the buttons for selecting the notes were a little larger My thumbs keep hitting the wrong notes

### 4/5 — Love it

*2011-10-20, version 1.4.3*

I am about to resume guitar lessons after a 12 year break. This app is great for helping me to understand the fretboard and associate the sounds, finger positions on fretboard and musical notation together. Learning this will definitely accelerate my learning and let me use the lessons with my teacher more effectively

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best app for memorising fretboard

*2017-03-02, version 1.7.3*

This app is the best possible way to memorise the notes of the fretboard. It has helped me so much in my guitar quest. Best design out of all the fretboard memorization apps. No need for scrolling. PLease update to add minor cycle of fifths and all the standard scales. It would be good to do a left handed option, i mean so that I can hold the phone with my left hand. I found a small bug. Bb / A# on fret 8 is not included In the keys exercise (major cycle of fifths). Also the F# major scale is missing from the cycle of fifths "keys" exercise. It would be great to include another exercise which asks you for octave number as well as note name. I'm a big fan of this app! I use it everyday so I'm really hoping for the updates mentioned above to make it the best educational guitar app ever made. Great developer!

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2015-04-28*

This is an app I had always hoped someone would make. I'm using it to learn my triads in all keys and all inversions all over the neck. The program is very intelligent and if you make a mistake it will go back and drill you an extra few times in your weak areas. Sure, you could sit with the guitar on your lap wearing your fingers out while you practice triad inversions all over the neck but why go through the pain? Also, no one will alert you of errors or keep track of where you're at, as it is hard to do all keys and inversions in one practice session. This app fixes all that by providing you logical exercises that allow you to work as much as you'd like, and when you're finished it will keep track of where you're at so that you can go back and continue in your studies at a later point. This app is a dream come true for me and I highly recommend purchasing it. Yes, there are some in app purchases that make learning better, but they are very reasonable. This is an extremely well created program.

### 5/5 — Great way to learn the fret notes

*2013-08-20, version 1.6.2*

I've been using this app a short time to learn my way around the fret board. It's amazing how quickly you learn with this app. Just what I was looking for.

### 5/5 — Super GFBA

*2012-02-17*

I love the product!
I've been playing for 35 years and it is an invaluable tool in helping me to learn more 'under the hood' nuances of furthering the craft in a convenient manner..

### 5/5 — Most useful app I have.

*2011-08-10*

This app definitly useful for more than just bass or guitars. It has many features that are all useful to all musicians.I recommend buying the multiple guitar edition.

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2011-04-24*

Has many options and many ways to learn. Would be nice to possibly have some additional guitar effects as far as sounds.

### 4/5 — Nice, but....

*2011-04-17*

Excellent learning tool. However, it would be helpful to have different variants of the instruments, i.e. 5 string bass or a baritone ukulele.
