## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — The ai version of this awful

*2025-06-15, version 2.0.3*

It moves so quickly. Nothing like hyperventilating while you’re trying to relax. It can’t pronounce words either.

### 1/5 — Stop taking subscriptions

*2023-05-22, version 1.7.2*

The app has stopped taking subscriptions. One you use the trial it is dead.

### 1/5 — 2 min and 5 min same

*2022-01-12, version 1.7.1*

I just downloaded the app and originally tried the two minute PMR and then wanted to see the five minute PMR and they were exactly the same. Only works on making fists. Not much of a progressive muscle relaxation session (coming from a healthcare professional)

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2020-02-20, version 1.5.2*

It was supposed to be free, after today update I see that I have only 3 free sessions remaining?

Edit: thank you for the code but one free month is not the point. When I downloaded the app it was announced as free, no mention of subscription or in-app purchase. The terms have changed and since not even the first users will be grandfathered to use the app without a subscription, I will have to stop using it. The content provided does not justify the price, personally. Probably as a one time purchase, but not as a monthly expense.

### 1/5 — Have to delete after 24 hours

*2020-01-22, version 1.3*

I downloaded this app yesterday and it had no in app purchases. Today it has a subscription, unfortunately I have to delete it and move on.

### 2/5 — Boring

*2020-04-20, version 1.5.3*

It’s the same thing EVERY day, in the same order. If they mixed it up occasionally I might keep it.

### 2/5 — Not worth it for a subscription

*2020-02-24, version 1.5.2*

When I downloaded this app, the developer had not yet added the subscription limitation. Unfortunately, although the app is well-done, it is way too simplistic for a recurring subscription. I would be willing to pay a small one-time charge but too many other subscription based apps offer way more features.

### 4/5 — What’s happened?

*2025-06-10, version 2.0.1*

I used this app for months and now it’s completely changed with irritating Ai voice , no idea of how long the short, medium or long sessions are. I’ve given up. Sorry but it’s not what it was at all

I'm only one person that is making this app as a side project and I unfortunately don't have the resources to produce audio content in multiple languages. I will add to the description that only English language is supported to make sure expectations are set properly.

### 5/5 — Works amazingly well

*2026-08-07, version 2.1.4*

The setting selections are extensive enough to make each session a little different or the same.

## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best PMR meditation app

*2025-09-04*

Great content for great progressive muscle relaxation sessions. Love it!

**Developer response:** ❤️

### 5/5 — Well made simple PMR app

*2021-01-18, version 1.6.1*

This is a very nicely designed app for guided progressive muscle relaxation. It contains 3 programmes of 2, 5 and 10 minute duration with an audio guide which takes you through the PMR exercise. It is well paced and nicely spoken and convenient to use. Yes, there are YouTube videos out there that will do this but I find that a nicely designed self contained app makes for a much more relaxing experience. Recommended!

### 5/5 — Good, but subscription is unfortunate

*2020-04-07, version 1.5.2*

I’m a mental health professional and was recommending this app to clients, but I work with low income populations so I can’t anymore unfortunately. It’s a shame because i really liked the simplicity of it.

Update: developer reached out to me and provided support to help my clients get access. Big thanks to him!!! Phenomenal app, well worth the subscription.

### 5/5 — Great free meditation app

*2019-10-15*

This app is really high quality. Has all the basics but nothing to distract you. I love the soothing voice of the woman giving the instructions.

### 5/5 — Very relaxing!

*2019-09-05, version 1.0*

Was recommended to try progressive muscle relaxation and so happy I found this app. Really well done, not too long and very soothing voice. Also like that it's so simple and showing me how many sessions I completed.
