Supernotes has been a complete game changer for school; I have difficulties keeping my notes organised on account of my ADHD but the accessibly of my notes, simplistic UI, and dynamic sorting system using tags and hierarchies have helped me tremendously. I had OneNote free via school which was a nightmare, I immediately switched to Supernotes after finding it and I recommend anyone else in a similar situation to do the same! ### 5/5 — Wish I’d found this app sooner! *2025-03-12, version 3.1.12* This app is stunning. My first time using notecard style applications but this has been so seamless to get to grips with. This program is designed to take notes as they happen and help make sense of them afterward. Too many “Notes” programs require more structure than you may have at the time that you are taking a note. And other note taking approaches are too freeform to let you make usable conn3ctions and relationships are the fact. SuperNotes.app is really the first program that that I have seen that lets you capture information in a way that seems totally natural ### 5/5 — ‘Pinknotes’ *2025-01-02* it seems ‘pinknotes’ is only one notes app based on ‘card concept’ in recent years and it’s beautiful. ### 5/5 — Outstanding app *2024-12-30, version 3.1.11* Different in a good way. So many Notes apps all do the same thing plus or minus a few features . Supernotes is entirely different. At first glance, it is laid out beautifully and I mean beautifully. The UI is responsive has never crashed and makes sense. The AI, is also different in a profound way. all too often people use AI to do everything for them, this for want of another word, rots brains. This AI subtle, in that it allows you to create note and it will then assign note intelligently to specific lists or groups based on the content or colour or tag or other user defined element. this is helpful without doing all the work for you. Not to mention the fact that notes are supposed to be written by the Person, not by a computer. AI writing your notes for you not only differs from that being in your own note, it risks incorrectly interpreting and depositing that information. I just love it. I bought the annual subscription within hours of trying it out in the free trial… when you know you know. ### 5/5 — Loving Supernotes! *2024-12-17, version 3.1.11* I’ve used them all. Supernotes is a standout because it’s fast, easy to take and share notes. I love also the Linux app too. The note sharing feature is super handy to share with external collaborators, no login required. Great work Team Supernotes. It’s also aesthetically pleasing. My notes look beautiful in SuperNotes. I’ve tried a number of zerttelkasten apps and usually only stay with them for a couple of months. The hierarchy of notes taken comes about organically. The only note taking app that doesn’t dilute itself with arbitrary features. Made exactly to take good notes, one might even say “super” notes ### 5/5 — Power & Beauty in One Package *2024-11-12* I was a bit slow to warm up to this app, only because it’s a little unusual. But now that uniqueness is what I appreciate and why I’m growing to love it more and more. It wasn’t long before I decided I was in & bought the 4-year subscription. Supernotes has a gorgeous UI, clean and uncluttered — and its custom font is very appealing. All good, but beauty can’t just be skin deep. Supernotes has got a lot of power. I like card-based approach, and the date-based approach with a calendar heatmap showing where you’ve been most busy, supplemented by powerful search. It has AI to improve your writing. And I especially appreciate the Collections function. With tags or other criteria you can design custom collections. If needed, AI can construct the exact collection you need. The creators are super friendly and responsive. It looks great on mobile and desktop (Windows). I’m neurodivergent and it makes my brain happy. I discovered it a few days ago and I can hardly put it down. And no way to sign up through Apple. ### 1/5 — Didn’t work at all *2024-07-21* Everytime I try to open the app on my phone it’s just a blank white screen, same thing when I try accessing it with my web browser. We’ve identified the cause of the white screen, and it’s due to using an outdated version of iOS. We’re pushing a fix for this in the next version but in the meantime please update your iOS. If you haven’t updated yet, please let us know if it’s working okay for you – as a small independent team, we’d really appreciate it 🙏 ### 1/5 — Does not work *2024-07-04, version 3.1.3* Starts up and gives a completely blank screen. No buttons, no text, nothing. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, same issue. Ios15.4.1. ### 1/5 — Pretty rubbish *2023-09-28, version 3.0.2* Simple layout but also a simple app. No better than any other notes app and worse than many. You can’t create any groups or collections of notes. Yes, you can tag but that is cumbersome and annoying (tags have their place, of course, but a decent notes app would offer both). Nesting cards inside other cards is just confusing - the nested card does not actually go inside the parent note. They both appear in the list like other notes (with just a tiny number on the parent card). All in all, very, very disappointing. The developers make a big deal about this being a new way to take notes. But, actually, it is just a poor, over-simplified notes app that needs a re-working to be as useful as the developers claim it is. I hoped this would be a game-changer. To say it is a huge let-down is an understatement. ### 3/5 — Great little app *2025-10-11* I really like the Supernotes-Notes & Journal app, however, I have now learned that this app is a note app and not a true journal app. The initial space for the note is limited and there should be a way to either alert the writer that they reached the limit and then prompt to edit or continue as a journal entry which the app could then switch the note to a journal entry and the writer can then continue knowing that the note/journal entry will be saved. For writers, this is necessary because in the beginning it may just be a note (thought to captured) but if the thought then opens an inner dialogue or a continuum of thoughts -then it’s a true journal entry that needs to be captured. This would save the writer’s input and keep the user from having to copy/paste it into someone else’s app or program. As it is, because of this disadvantage, I most likely won’t be using Supernotes-Note & Journal any further. **Developer response:** Hello thanks for the feedback 👋 We indeed display the number of characters / words to help encourage you to think about your writing & journalling. We found that often we write down too much and this is meant to inspire to reflect on what your writing as well as your day. This isn’t a hard limit - you can safely ignore it and go wayyy over this. None come anywhere near Supernotes in terms of simplicity and functionality for managing a digital Zettelkasten. IMHO, that’s how this app is advertised and that’s what it does best, and if you need more a “robust” feature set (like advanced spaced repetition) you may need something else. But if you’re looking for an intuitive, RELIABLE, and simple (markdown editor) way to create a digital ZK, this is your app. ### 4/5 — Fantastic notes app *2024-11-20* Will upgrade to 5 stars when better image and video viewing is there and control center button arrives. Being able to only remember the location, or better yet, being prompted to remember the note you wrote based on looking at the location where you wrote it is a huge help. So The human mind is very visual. And being able to visualize a map and where you put those notes will help you retain that information as well. Coupled with flashcards and spaced repetition and color coding with ease, this app I believe truly helps you to not just keep your notes but retain your notes with your mind. I'm kind of in a pickle right now as I just got into Notion due to their very good usage of AI. However, I do understand AI is always growing so to invest so much time into something that can change in a couple of months when you could be adding features such as these like maps I will congratulate you for that choice and will continue to try this app out. ### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for! *2025-10-21* I love this app. I was so wishing for an easy to use app that would allow me to capture ideas on the run, but then organize them in multiple different ways, either immediately or later.
