I had so much fun with it, but until the band broke up. this is probably a bad game. The tension of trying to get signed before going broke is real. However, the simulation and any sense of player agency implode once you record your first album. You're then locked into a cycle of only being allowed to tour alternating with only writing and recording. Improvements to the band and investment in promoting albums and singles does not result in major growth in sales between albums 1 and 2, yet band members increase "salary" demands agnostic of revenue (why is the manager paying the band instead of vice versa, anyway?). You can also double sales week to week while moving down the charts - hinting that the simulation has no respect for causality. The label never provides marketing or production support beyond the money to cover the first album, which is both unrealistic and drives the late game collapse. Then it stops you saving the game, then it stops you being able to buy bottles. Pretty dumb. The main one being is money. I recorded several records and the money barely is returned back to me. You’ll basically be in debt no matter what. I also don’t mind watching advertisements since I know that’s how you bring in income. However, the ads don’t work on my gameplay so I never get the chance to collect those awards. Other than that, the game seems pretty solid. ### 3/5 — 3.5 Stars. Not a Bad Game *2023-12-01* Overall, I enjoyed the game. Definitely a bit of a challenge if you don’t spend “real” money, however it’s not impossible. I reached level 22 and very quickly started to get bored unfortunately. The game seems to be very basic, in terms of objectives. It’d be nice to see a little bit more features to make each game you play more different each time. It just feels like the objectives are too repetitive. All that being said, I did enjoy the gameplay. It’s a great concept! Unfortunately I was hit with probably the worst game to ever exist on the app store period. They give you only 1000 money at the start which seems like a lot but is not at all. You immediately run through it before even getting to level 3 and then instantly go bankrupt if you don’t watch a 60 second add to only get 500 cash. The game is a total waste of time unless you like constantly trying to scrape the barrel getting 20 to 30 dollars profit from gigs. I play it all the time and it is amazing! However, I believe it could be improved slightly. 1) You should be able to put out multiple singles per album if it does well or even moderately good. 2) You should be able to record songs at seperate studios at seperate times for albums. 3) There should be more studios and producers. 4) The touring aspect of the game should be expanded on, with a US tour, a european tour, a asian tour, etc. 5) Current bands could be a thing and could compete with your band and maybe even rilvaries. 6) More genres should be added (like rap, hip hop, heavy metal, country, alternative rock etc) 7) The chart system should be reworked, instead of sales being based on the chart spot, it should be the other way around.
