## What is Suppie?

Turn your supplement bottle around and read the back. Then do the same with the
one on your mother's counter.

Most of what's listed there isn't the supplement.

Suppie has analyzed more than 16,000 products. Over 3,700 contain magnesium
stearate and more than 3,400 contain silicon dioxide. These flow agents help
machines press tablets faster. They do nothing for you.

The harder question is whether the ingredient the bottle was bought for is
absorbable, properly dosed, and compatible with everything else that person
takes.

Point your camera at the label. You'll know in seconds.

FOR EVERY BODY

Every body is different. A 78-year-old on four prescriptions, a nine-year-old
with a gummy, and someone who lifts five days a week are not the same body, and
"safe" is not one number.

You don't have to own the bottle to scan it. Your shelf. Your mother's drawer.
Your kid's vitamins. The bottle in a friend's cupboard nobody has looked at
since 2019. Scan it, read the report, share it.

Most people who pay for Suppie aren't only checking their own supplements.

WHY THERE'S NO FREE VERSION

Free apps still have to make money, and in this category it often comes from
the brands being rated: placements, referral deals, sponsored swaps and
"recommended alternatives." Once a grade can be bought, it becomes advertising.

Suppie is paid for by its users. No supplement company can buy a listing, raise
a grade or move a score. Every product follows the same published rubric.

Most apps also rate brands. A brand can look excellent while selling a product
full of fillers or underdosed ingredients. Suppie grades the bottle, not the
company.

WHY A CHATBOT WON'T DO THIS

Ask an AI what magnesium does and you'll get a reasonable answer.

Now ask whether the magnesium on your counter is poorly absorbed, whether the
200mg shown is elemental magnesium or the whole compound, and what the other
eleven ingredients do.

It can't see the bottle. Suppie can.

WHAT A REPORT TELLS YOU

A grade from A (Very Clean) to D (Very Unclean), plus a Suppie Score based on
Cleanliness, Efficacy and Safety.

You also get:

Every active and inactive ingredient, with its dose
A beneficial, low, medium or high-risk rating
What each ingredient does, its other names, upper safe intake and known side
effects
Claimed benefits ranked from Slight to Very Strong by evidence quality
Interactions, side effects and 12 common allergens flagged
Cited research so you can check it yourself

Cleanliness starts at 100 and falls for fillers and additives based on risk.
Beneficial ingredients never lose points. Capsule shells and coatings don't
count against a product. Nothing about the grade is hidden.

PRODUCTS NOBODY HAS REVIEWED

Suppie reads labels instead of relying on a fixed list. Store brands, regional
products, or the bottle at the back of a cupboard: scan it and get a full
report. The $6 bottle and the $45 bottle get the same rubric.

CHECK A WHOLE SHELF

Add an entire routine and Suppie grades it as one stack, showing a combined
score, total nutrients and warnings where products conflict.

This is the one to use on someone who takes a lot of things. Interactions are
the finding that matters most and gets checked least, and they only show up
when you look at everything together.

ASK ABOUT THE BOTTLE IN FRONT OF YOU

The Suppie Advisor answers questions about the exact product or stack you
scanned: its ingredients and the research behind them.

WHAT SUPPIE DOESN'T DO

Suppie doesn't lab test bottles. Lab tests ask whether the contents match the
label. Suppie asks whether the formula was worth making: the ingredients,
doses, interactions and evidence. For most people, that's the more useful
question.

### 5/5 — Pleasantly Impressed

*2026-08-08*

I found out about this app through word-of-mouth from someone else who said it was good. I've never use an app like this but it didn't make sense that I would not be checking my supplements if I could do it this easily. I had never done much research on the supplements that I took, I would just pick something up from the store that looked fairly cheap and hope that it wasn't made in China. But since I started using the Suppie app I can say that it's is definitely worthwhile to know so much more about what I'm putting in my body. And there's so much information the app provides that you can literally spend 10 minutes on each bottle you scan at the store. So be prepared to make way in the aisle for the many people that are walking by you as you're standing and reading the information ;-)

### 1/5 — Expensive £3.99 per week

*2026-03-09, version 1.065*

Asks a lot of questions before it tells you that you have to pay to use it at £3.99 per week

### 1/5 — Not very good

*2026-03-08, version 1.065*

In one product review it referred to magnesium bislgycinate as ‘inactive’ and zinc bisglycinate as ‘inactive’ - among many other inaccuracies. Don’t waste your money.

### 5/5 — Ask for a review before you’ve even used it

*2026-01-22*

12/26/2025–1300–Just downloaded. Haven’t even made it through the tutorials. And already being asked to write a review. So here it is. It’s horrible it does nothing right now. Updated—1/21/26–Fantastic program. Gave me factual information and unbiased reviews. I did throw away three supplements I thought were good and turned out to not be good which was awesome and then I found out I had one very strong brand that was rated very highly which made me happy. Truly recommend after using it.

**Developer response:** Hello, thanks for your comment. I am sorry that you had a negative experience with our review collection in the app's onboarding process, and I understand your frustration. Please allow me to explain. It is something many apps do to acquire ratings, which are especially important for a new app like ours. In our onboarding flow, we have a lot of explanation about what Suppie does and showcases its functions (a sample report, a search process...). Many users give us 5 star reviews during the onboarding process because they like what Suppie does and support our mission of bringing more transparency to the supplement industry. I very much hope that you reconsider your 1-star review: it does not fairly represent the actual quality of our app's functions, and it also hurts our ratings significantly -- it's not easy to launch a new product. I would appreciate your empathy. At the same time, I hope you give Suppie a chance and find it useful. If you have any feedback about the functions of the app, you can email me directly at kawa@suppie.app. My co-founder Will and I are constantly making changes to the app to improve user experience, and we value the input of every user. We'll also take your feedback regarding the review collection into consideration while working on the next update of the app. Thank you very much! :)) Kawa, Co-Founder, Suppie App

### 5/5 — Useful

*2026-01-03, version 1.051*

Love it so far ❤️

### 5/5 — Helps me make informed choices

*2025-12-26*

These days you cannot know what you’re getting from all the supplement companies out there. This is an unregulated industry full of opportunists and corner cutters. It’s really important that I understand what I’m putting in my body and my family’s bodies and I’ve been looking for this kind of app for a long time. Super easy to use and saves me time from tracking down all this information myself. I want to ensure everything I buy is pure, high potency, effective, and safe, so I use this to check before I buy and I make the best choices. I also used this to check everything in my medicine cabinet and threw some things out.

### 5/5 — Easy to Use and Understand

*2025-12-13*

Other apps get overloaded with ways to charge you … not the case here! Just simple and affordable way to get insights on my nutritional supplements. I was able to switch one of mine over to a Thorne product given the Suppie rating.

### 5/5 — Nifty and surprisingly useful

*2025-12-11*

Surprisingly useful app that helps me track all my supplements and organize things. Great especially as I'm reviewing my supplements for year end and thinking about what I want to use for the next year. Maybe the app could provide a supplement discovery feature as well for good alternatives though I recognize that might be difficult to implement in an unbiased way

### 5/5 — Amazing health companion

*2025-12-10*

A super intuitive, in depth and personalizable experience. Gave me a lot of confidence in my supplements routine

What's New

Introducing Coach — your personal supplement guide

Say hello to Coach, an all-new way to get smart, personalized supplement guidance. Coach uses your profile (age, gender, country, allergies) to ask sharper questions and give recommendations that actually fit you. Bookmark any tip and it becomes a rich My Journey card, complete with images, sources, and full articles you can revisit anytime.

Also in this update:

- Cleaner Home screen with a redesigned layout, a chat bubble in the top-right, a simpler search bar, and easier pasting.

- Fresh start anytime with the new Reset My Coach option, so you can start over without losing your saved bookmarks.

- Smoother subscriptions after fixing a double paywall issue, so signing in with Google or Apple after subscribing now works seamlessly.

### 1.091 — 2026-08-07

This version makes Suppie a better habit, not just a better scanner.

- Daily reminder notifications help you remember what’s actually on your stack instead of discovering half‑empty bottles three months from now. Set a time for each product and Suppie pings you when it’s time.

- Existing subscribers now glide past the paywall on a fresh install. If you’re already paying, you just land in the app and keep moving.

- Restore Purchases and Manage Subscription are now built in, so you can fix App Store hiccups or change plans from inside Suppie instead of hunting through Settings.

Behind the scenes, we've continued to make Suppie a better experience for all of our members.

### 1.090 — 2026-08-06

Faster onboarding. Fewer screens, no interruptions, and you reach a real graded report sooner.

New: skip ahead to a sample report if you don't have a bottle in front of you.

Setup no longer interrupts itself with system prompts — those moved to after your first report.
