## What is Supplement Scanner?

BioStacks scores every supplement from 0 to 100 based on published clinical research — not marketing. Scan any bottle to see how its doses compare to human trials, whether the forms absorb, and whether it's worth your money.

NO "PRODUCT NOT FOUND"

Most scanners hit a wall when a product isn't in their database. BioStacks doesn't. Point your camera at any Supplement Facts label — a new launch, an indie brand, an imported bottle — and we read the ingredients, doses, and forms straight off the label and scores it on the spot. No barcode needed, no dead-ends. Already in our catalog? Scan the barcode for an instant match.

HOW THE 0–100 SCORE WORKS

Every ingredient is scored on three things, multiplied together:

• Clinical dose — your dose is compared against the range used in published trials, not the Daily Value. A 10 mg dose of an ingredient studied at 500 mg scores near zero. Sub-therapeutic "sprinkle" doses are punished, and there's no bonus for mega-dosing.

• Form & bioavailability — the chemical form decides how much you actually absorb. Magnesium glycinate scores far above magnesium oxide. Methylfolate beats folic acid. Ubiquinol beats ubiquinone.

• Evidence weight — ingredients with strong RCT and meta-analysis support count for more than ones backed only by mechanism or tradition.

A separate Safety score — overdoses, interactions, and inactive-ingredient ratings — only pulls the final number down, never up. A clean but under-dosed product is still a bad product, and BioStacks says so. We cover 380+ active ingredients with clinical dose ranges; blends that hide per-ingredient doses score low. Every product shows a per-ingredient verdict like "8% of effective dose — negligible," plus "Underdosed" and "Proprietary blend" flags.

LAB TESTING & PURITY

Efficacy is our focus; purity counts too. We surface third-party certifications (NSF, USP Verified, Informed Sport) and brand testing practices — heavy-metapurity screening, batch COAs, cGMP — right on the product page, and a fake per-bottle "tested" claim. Does it work — and is it clean?
20 HEALTH AREAS, RANKED BY SCIENCE

NUTRIENT EXPLORER & "BEST FOR" GUIDES

Best magnesium for sleep? Best vitamin D? Search 99 ingredient dossiers and the real trials, with PubMed citations.

STACK INTELLIGENCE

Build a stack by scan or search, then run it through five analyses: Safety (overdoses, risky interactions), Coverage (gaps across your goals, with products to fill them), Dosing (each dose vs. its clinical range, plus weak-form alerts), Value (cost per day), and Optimization. Schedule doses, build a streak, get reminders, and share your stack with a link. Or ask the built-in AI ("Does this actually work?", "Is my stack overdosing?"), grounded in our scoring and clinical data.

WHAT MAKES BIOSTACKS DIFFERENT

Most scanners dead-end when a product isn't in their database — scan a new bottle and get an error, not an answer. The ones that find it rate brand trust, which won't tell you if the ingredients work at those doses. A certified brand can sell 10 mg when the clinical dose is 500 mg; that rating misses it, BioStacks reads the label and catches it. Every score is grounded in clinical trials and meta-analyses — no marketing, no influencers — just science.

DISCLAIMER

Every score is grounded in published clinical trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. No marketing claims. No influencer endorsements. Just the science.
