With multiple Sony products, I currently have 495 messages, many duplicated across similar products. Every action you make in the app is one by one. I just added my TV to the app, and the new message count jumped to over 100+ because every tv related message was deemed relevant to my model (even messages that came out 3 years before my tv. Because the message topic as updated to also be relevant to my model ). Great but no way I’m reading 100+ messages. So either I shut off the messages notifications bug, and this don’t notice when new meshes arrive. Or I delete the app and go back to just looking up issues when they arise. It’s an issue because this app is in a group with a bunch of other apps in iOS and the 100+ red dot notifications will swamp out my ability to notice the important red dot notifications showing up from other apps in that same group (eg system updates in my case. ). I’m not going to not put such a support app in my “support” app group just because it’s too verbose. Beyond that the app doesn’t have actual online support submission ability - just chat bots and message boards. So if you have a warranty issue you still habe to phone call the number to open a case. It would be helpful to be able to open a case with Sony on the app. ### 2/5 — Can we PLEASE get an option to MARK ALL AS READ? *2024-11-06, version 2.15.0* I noticed that every now and then when the app updates all notifications are reset to unread and I literally have to check 400 notifications one by one to remove them. Much easier to use in landscape mode. Absolute nonsense. Another Sony product not properly thought through. However, recently the app refused to bring up the support pages for one of my registered products. I removed it and tried to add it back but now it’s no longer listed (AV Receiver STR-DN1060); other STR-DN models above and below in the range are listed?! But the problems don’t end there… To import products registered in my Sony account… logging in with Google account doesn’t work as it no longer meets Google’s technical requirements for security. When you log into your Sony account manually using account username and password, the target page after logging in no longer exists: “ *We can’t find your page Sorry you can’t reach the webpage you want. Our system doesn’t recognise the page link.” There’s no option to link 2 Sony accounts - unfortunately used 2 different email addresses to register products. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2026-03-20, version 2.16.0* Impossible to navigate. Rather it forces to select from the list of predefined items. ### 1/5 — What a joke this app is! *2024-10-11* There’s no support in this app. The right bud doesn’t connect unless I insert into ear, take out and place back in the case, then re-insert into ear. This app is just a link to the useless website. And it’s not even the correct link. I’m trying to get replacement earbud tips too. The accessories link doesn’t work. Never again will I buy from a company that doesn’t sell accessories. I’m now forced to buy aftermarket tips from elsewhere. I expect $300 earbuds to perform better and last longer than my $25 earbuds. This is not the case. Bye Sony! It is good to add a filter option for users to display , say, only the firmware updates. The filter content can be changed.
