### 4/5 — Great game but pay2win ruins it.

*2026-08-23, version 0.233*

Games awesome I would like to say yes obviously there needs to be micro transactions for the game. But putting a hero into the game that can recruit up to 9 infantry every 45 minutes in speed runs and every 3 hours in normal is honestly game breaking. Who wants to just join into this game and have to fight against players that have spent hundreds of dollars just to be able to have a massive advantage over you with just one hero. It needs adjusting because there is no reason to have that in this game. Every single game I’ve been in the last week has had a Fiona lvl 15 by day 4-5 in game they have trippled your army and roll you with ease

### 2/5 — Seems like an ok game…

*2026-08-18, version 0.233*

… at first. “Moving” troops takes way too long, I can’t wait 15 minutes to move troops from one location to the next. Played for a few minutes, a game I just downloaded and never have before, but can’t create an account because my email is already in use. No point in playing at this point, deleted.

### 1/5 — Im going to have grandkids by the time I finish one game

*2026-07-28, version 0.233*

Too much time consuming. Don't waste your life away, go out and make money or have fun. This is no game.

### 4/5 — Perfection?

*2026-07-23, version 0.233*

If this game wasn’t on the cocaine infamously known as micro transactions, this game could have rivalled Red Alert, Hearts of Iron (IV), and Age of Empires as one of THE strategy games of the Information Age infancy. Everything about this game is so perfectly executed for a RTS game (and cross-platform at that) that it actually pains me to see that one moderately priced bundle could get you another GOATed RTS game for life, without micro transactions to
boot. If you take away the ability to pay for an advantage in-game, literally nothing is wrong with the game besides those few sweaty grass allergic stains on society, but that is not the games fault in the slightest.

Why must this angelic game commit such a grave sin…

### 2/5 — Just annoying

*2026-07-23, version 0.233*

I have similar feelings about this game and it’s World War II counterpart. However, this version is even more of a pain as the armies are far too large and getting resources is incredibly annoying. Therefore, I have to give this two stars instead of three.

### 1/5 — Pay To Win

*2026-07-22, version 0.233*

I downloaded Supremacy 1914 again for the first time in years because I missed the strategy. Back when I used to play, positioning, economy, diplomacy, logistics, and long-term planning decided wars. This time, it feels like strategy has taken a back seat to heroes.

I started as Southern USA and spent the first week building what I believed was a textbook long-term strategy. I unified all of North America, captured Greenland, Denmark, Great Britain, and part of Spain. Rather than rushing random units, I invested heavily into infrastructure—9 factories, railroads across my homeland, and 5 artillery queued immediately so I could transition into ranged warfare as early as possible. My military was positioned around West Algeria with East Algeria as an ally, and I spent days coordinating diplomacy, intelligence, and production.

Before any of those artillery pieces even finished, West Algeria attacked with a Level 6 ranged hero that has a 30-range attack and another hero that functions like an early-game submarine. That naval hero can repeatedly ambush transports while remaining effectively impossible to track in normal gameplay. Overnight, tens of thousands of troops were lost before my strategy even had a chance to come online.

From that point on, every strategic adjustment was dictated by heroes instead of military planning.

Originally, the plan was to land in northwest Africa and use artillery to break defensive positions. Instead, I had to reroute everything through Spain because of the ranged hero. Then I realized I couldn’t safely send a battleship because the submarine hero controlled the surrounding waters, so now I need to build submarines just to counter one hero before I can even begin producing the battleships I actually wanted. Only after that can I safely move artillery into position and fight the war I planned from the beginning.

At every stage, the answer wasn’t “adapt to another player’s superior strategy.” It was “adapt to another premium hero.”

What frustrates me most is that I don’t think my overall strategy was bad. In fact, I still think I’ll eventually win because my economy is vastly stronger. I built 9 factories while my opponent has only a few damaged factories, invested in long-term production instead of short-term power, and my industrial capacity will eventually overwhelm his if the game lasts long enough. But instead of rewarding that planning, the game repeatedly delays it with hero mechanics that simulate late-game units long before anyone else can reasonably produce them.

Meanwhile, the leading coalition already controls nearly half the map. Whether that’s due to coordination, skill, or something else, it makes the game feel even less competitive because the strongest players snowball while everyone else is trying to overcome premium advantages.

I don’t mind losing because someone outplayed me. I don’t mind changing plans because an opponent made a brilliant strategic move. That’s what grand strategy games are about. But constantly having to redesign an otherwise sound campaign because another hero appears with abilities that normally require days of research and production doesn’t feel like strategy. It feels like paying to skip the strategic part of the game.

I came back hoping to play a game where logistics, production, diplomacy, and planning decided wars. Instead, it feels like those things only matter after you’ve survived the hero phase of the match.

If heroes were toned down, limited more heavily, or moved to later stages of the game, I think Supremacy 1914 would become a much stronger strategy game. Right now, it often feels like the better long-term strategist is forced to spend the early game reacting to premium mechanics instead of competing on equal strategic footing.

### 3/5 — Love this game

*2026-07-22, version 0.233*

Love this game dearly been playing it on and off for about 5 years give or take but the problem is there is nothing new with no unite upgrades people don’t do depomery god kowns how you spell it and the moment you get into again game you play for about 3 days and 99% of the players in the game are gone and then it’s just the hand full of people fighting and most of them are on the same side I just wish they added more stuff to the game as it’s been five years and all they have added was hero’s and pay to win stuff

### 2/5 — Fun game when it works

*2026-07-17, version 0.233*

The game would get 4 stars if you didn’t have delete and re download the game several times a day because of a glitch in the log in.

It’s not a big deal if you have a good signal, but it usually happens at the wort time.

Other than that, it’s a fun game to pass the time.

### 1/5 — 詐欺

*2026-07-15*

キャラクター購入のため、3000円払って、データが消える。
お金だけ払って、何もなし。
返金対応なし、そもそも返事もなし。詐欺会社です。

### 1/5 — Don’t play! You’re gonna waste days!

*2026-07-14, version 0.233*

Game sucks. You spend the next 14 days fighting bots because all the other players leave. If you do fight an active player. You can literally just spend money to buy army by the packs…
It’s really no fun at all. Sad it has potential.
Honestly we need 1914 & 1942 combined together. Good luck on the 500 players! It’s literally all bots & at the end they all just attack you! It should be called 1914 bots!

### 2/5 — Argentina

*2026-07-12, version 0.233*

Argentina isn’t playable so I don’t even start the game

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Basura

*2026-08-30, version 0.236*

Te tomas una año en avanzar para moverte de una provincia a otra son 8 horas ósea

### 1/5 — Pay to win scam game

*2026-08-23, version 0.233*

There is definitely fun to be had within, but I cannot recommend this game in its current state. $50 for 450 hero medals is insanity

### 1/5 — Crashes frequently

*2026-08-20, version 0.233*

After purchasing different packages while playing this game, it crashed and I have yet to be able to resume where I left off waste of money and time

### 1/5 — Social breakdown

*2026-08-17, version 0.233*

Settle appears to have suffered a catastrophic event at first this looks like massacre and it may have been but the deeper question is why why did farming communities across Europe? Europe? After centuries of expansion suddenly become so vulnerable why do some settlements show signs of violent stress, why does the LV?

### 1/5 — Pay to win

*2026-08-16, version 0.233*

The amount of benefit for spending real money on this game is insane...

This is the definition of pay to win.

Plus...

Full of bugs

Orders are not actioned

Servers are painfully slow

And the developer wants you to invest real money in it?

Reel it in....

Just take note of the reviews under 1 year, they show a genuine score of the current game, and avoid completely.

this needs to be pulled from the App Store.

### 1/5 — Fall Off should be studied

*2026-08-09, version 0.233*

Was good until they added stormtroopers or whatever they are

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-08-08, version 0.233*

Game can’t even run for 30 seconds without crashing not worth it

### 1/5 — No sleep.

*2026-08-04, version 0.233*

The war goes on. Even when you sleep. Which is kind of trash. One short nights sleep and you lose a war you’ve been fighting a week. And it’s pay to win. Expect some features that other will have that you can’t have that will mop the floor with you.

### 1/5 — Terrible support

*2026-08-03, version 0.233*

I have been playing this game for a long time and I have run into many people who send me hate mail when I conquer then it’s just part of the game. However I have never had to report someone or contact the support help before until now. I had a former ally who was being disrespectful to me and to my other coalition allies by sending us death threats, wishing us ill will along with cussing and sending us horrible messages that I can not even type into this review. I contacted support for help two weeks ago and I still have not had a response on how you the game support staff are suppose to advise me on this situation. What is even more aggravating is that it is suppose to take 24 to 48 hours for a response and again it has been 2 weeks and still no response or any punishment to this player who is causing so many issues. Like I said I have played this game for years I have never had a problem like this and the one time I contact the support team to report a player I get nothing but crickets. This is probably the last time I will play this game or any other game that that this developer makes.

### 5/5 — Something need fixing

*2026-08-08, version 0.233*

There are some unnecessary things in this game such as ads but very good game some of the troops are very costly but some of the provinces should produce more resources for things because my wheat , fish , gas and oil run out fast like too fast but this is a great game

### 5/5 — Addictive!!!!

*2026-08-06, version 0.233*

The good news and the bad news is this game is very addictive. You will spend hours on this game moving pieces round and lay awake at night checking to make sure no one invaded you. Great game!!
