Please, Please, PLEASE update this app. ### 1/5 — It doesn’t get much more complicated than this... *2018-09-24, version 1.015* App takes you to a place where a grid, numerous measurements and uncountable complicated buttons. A place where you are just supposed to know what everything is for. I paid $15 for this only to later find out that it came for free with my zing but the code was nowhere to be seen in the box and the company quits answering the phones whilst it’s day time here so seller states. Seems this is as complicated as the zing itself. It seems to me in order to use these machines you practically need to know how to build them first because in the manual they can’t even properly explain the important first step head ache of a chore of simply putting in the blades without damaging the machine. This app sure does not help explain anything further to get the machine going, instead it just offers you even more frightening and complicated jargon about designing your stuff, when I’ve been using other designing sites with much more ease. To top it all off the iPad app put up a google problem loading page and now it is stuck there with no option to go back to the app and no “x” button to close the google page. So now I can’t even get back to trying to use this app! So I wonder how many long years this is going to take in study before I can use the machine or this app properly? ### 1/5 — A waste!!! *2018-07-11, version 1.015* This app would be great if you could up load files!!!! Google drive comes up with an error. Dropbox looks like it is working but doesn’t save when you press save. I can’t get it to link to my scan’n’cut directly which wouldn’t be a problem if exporting worked. It would be upsetting if it was 99p but at 9.99 you really need to sort out all the bugs. I was hoping this would be a great addition, making it more simple to work on the run with my iPad. It has not been modified from desktop version to allow use on a tablet. Unable to import images from photos etc because import screen has menus/folders appropriate for desktop PCs. Does not "see" the tablet. So-called "Help" is written for desktop PC - mentions "clicking" i.e for use with a mouse NOT a tablet, so clearly this is not a tablet version. Unable to add layers. So far unable to find any help on developers website - support pages assume you have desktop version and asks for serial number. This is an expensive app - not sure how it got approved by Apple. Soon after opening I realized its extremely buggy. There is no way to access files on my iPad only via cloud which closes as soon I get signed in major problem. my guess is they focus more on pc sale because of the price difference and disregard app users.This would be epic if supported properly there are millions of plotter users that need a way to setup cuts and this seems to be the answer but its broken. ### 1/5 — App does not work! *2020-07-25, version 1.023* A waste of $10.00!!! ### 1/5 — Save your money. One star rating because I couldn’t select zero. *2020-06-13, version 1.023* This app was plagued with many issues. It just recently got updated with “bug fixes”. I was looking forward to an update, due to issues in the previous version. This update is plagued with a whole new set of issues. The issues in this update should have been apparent to the developer, but it seems the app was not tested at all. You’ll notice how often this app is updated, approximately every 4 years. It shouldn’t take 4 years to fix issues, each update plagued with worse issues than the previous. I’m surprised Apple allows apps like this make it to their App Store. Apple should hold developers accountable. I will revise this review, only if the developer takes their app serious. I’ll provide screen captures of the issues I’ve come across, including a list of the issues. ### 1/5 — Awful! *2020-05-06, version 1.015* I want my money back! I love being able to work on a design on my iPad, save and then sent to cutter! Wahooo! One happy scrapper! 😊 ### 4/5 — Handy to have SCAL for iPad *2019-10-13, version 1.015* I have been using Sure Cuts A lot 3 app since 2014. I began with an iPad 2 and now use it on an older iPad Pro and find it most useful and stable. Saving designs, exporting and importing, I choose Google Drive. For some reason the app does not recognize Overdrive but I can also save locally onto iPad. The trace function is very accurate. I do wish I could choose a resolution for exporting SVG files as my cutter is not listed in SCAL but requires its own software and SVG files import into that software smaller than created in SCAL. The font function is especially handy with the use of the AnyFont app to install fonts onto the iPad. Sure Cuts A Lot for the iPad does not have all the bells and whistles of v5 I use on my laptop but it packs in a lot of functions for a $10 app that I use several times a week. I removed a star in rating because of lack of updates. Every time I update OS I sweat that it won’t work on the newer but so far so good on iPadOS 13.1.2. The lack of interest in this app from CraftEdge is disappointing. ### 3/5 — Updates please! *2018-09-02, version 1.015* We paid $10 for this and would appreciate periodic updates. Once per 2 years is not that great.
