### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2026-08-16, version 4.3.0*

I love the sure cat flap connect. The app is very good allowing you you to know what’s going on back at home when you are away. It generally works very well but I wish there was a quick action to override a curfew to allow a cat out when required.

### 3/5 — Unstable link to wired WiFi

*2026-08-13, version 4.3.0*

Just don’t understand why the ethereal wire connection is unstable at times which makes it frustrating to keep resetting etc. on most days it works fine hence 3 star.

### 2/5 — does the job if you’re lucky enough for the app to work

*2026-08-12, version 4.3.0*

fine, but sometimes glitchy, unresponsive. terrible design, overly complicated, hard to use, slow.

### 2/5 — Curfew is Irritating

*2026-07-20, version 4.3.0*

The curfew facility is really annoying. The start time and end time is reset to the default of 00:00 to 00:02 each time the curfew is changed and applied. Why not remember the time of the last curfew and use that for next time?

### 3/5 — Software needs a little work

*2026-06-18, version 4.2.0*

It sometimes does not record the times our animals come in and out accurately and sometimes it misses them entirely. Other than that we love it.

### 2/5 — Problems since update

*2026-06-09, version 4.2.0*

It appears that since the latest update I have lost the ability to update my cats location to inside/outside. Also all ways of locking and changing curfews etc. terrible service.

### 3/5 — Cat flap connect app

*2026-06-09, version 4.2.0*

The function of the cat flap is perfect but to the app developers PLEASE include a dark mode with better contrast. Pale grey writing on a bright white background is nearly impossible for ageing eyes to see.

### 4/5 — It’s great

*2026-05-28, version 4.2.0*

Great being able to know my cats are inside at night or whenever we need. We have two kittens and an older cat. The older one is allowed to go out at night though as it is what he has always been use to. Unfortunately you can’t have specific automated settings for each cat. So our best option is to have it open, then manually lock or unlock for the kittens at night and morning. We have emailed the company and they said we needed the sureflap connect hub, so we got that but that still doesn’t do the programming we require. So there is room for improvement, otherwise we have got use to our current routine

### 3/5 — Obsolete Wi-Fi system?

*2026-05-20, version 4.2.0*

The catflap itself works well, but the communication between the catflap and the ridiculous cat eared hub is poor in our house, even though they are in adjacent rooms and only 10 m apart.

And why does the hub have to be connected to the router by a cable in this day and age? Not everyone has their router near the catflap!

### 4/5 — Works ok

*2026-04-07, version 4.1.23*

Disappointed there’s no widget. Would be good to see at a glance which cats are in and which are out.

### 3/5 — Can’t create an account, clock change messed with curfew

*2026-03-31, version 4.1.23*

It was hard to get past the set-password screen to create an account, it doesn’t scroll properly so the keyboard obscures the password.

App can't handle clock changes. We just had a daylight savings transition to BST. The catflap curfew times were changed and moved an hour forward. So where it was 7am it moved to 8am. Might be a new bug, haven't spotted this before.

### 3/5 — Get a Better Ux developer

*2026-03-09, version 4.1.22*

I have many their products but the catflaps is good but has many flaws and room for improvement

The app looks nice but not very intuitive and the UX is terrible can’t find functions easily.

### 3/5 — 25 hour days

*2026-03-06, version 4.1.22*

Recent updates appear to have introduced a 25 hour day, with my pet entering at 24:54.

The inability to make unwanted animals “outdoor only” so pets can leave but not re-enter (eg tailgating neighbours cats when the flaps don’t close properly) is something that customer service can add, but not possible via the app. The reverse is possible though!

### 3/5 — App stopped working

*2026-02-28, version 4.1.22*

The app stopped working, cannot use the quick actions menu or make any Catflap adjustments. I have deleted and re downloaded, updated my phone, logged out and in again and still the same.

### 2/5 — App says flap is offline?

*2026-01-30, version 4.1.21*

The app is saying the flap is offline and has been for several days, it’s still letting my pets in and out however I can’t update their location on the app/change the curfew etc

### 2/5 — Loses wired WiFi lots

*2026-01-02, version 4.1.21*

Even with new batteries and wired to the router the WiFi is unstable, this means it’s difficult to monitor my two young cars when they come in or go out and whether curfew can be carried out. It’s disappointing and frustrating.

### 1/5 — Terrible tech support who doesn’t understand technology

*2026-07-21, version 4.3.0*

I used to love these and recommend them to everyone. Not anymore. All 3 feeders stopped working and I got stuck talking to a tech support guy who clearly doesn’t understand technology. Buy Petlibro instead.

I have 3 Connect feeders. One for each cat. The scales aren’t perfect and I’ve always had small issues from time to time. Annoying for the price, but they got the job done. All of a sudden yesterday, all 3 of my feeders stopped working. None of them will open when the cats try to eat. Tried resetting them, but that didn’t actually reset them. Tried deleting one to re-add the feeder, it won’t connect to the hub even though it’s online. Called support for help, and after repeating the issue several times, I was told that the sensors on all 3 feeders stopped working. All at the same time. The chances of that happening are so rare. When I asked how that explains why the 3rd one won’t connect to the hub I was told the same sensors for the microchips send signals to the hub. That’s not how it works but the guy refused to believe me. Whatever issues is happening is software, but I was basically told all 3 feeders went faulty at the exact same time and they couldn’t help me. My units are less than 4 years old. I guess I’ll just have to manually feed my cats until the new Petlibro feeders release because I’ll be switching companies.

TL:DR - software malfunction happened making 3 feeders stop working. Was blamed on the sensors and told they couldn’t help.

### 1/5 — Great until the change of the new UI

*2026-02-01, version 4.1.21*

difficult to navigate - drops curfew settings and open the cat flap - battery error reported when battery still full - go back to the old UI please - and now it has removed both pets from the cat flap this is a pile of junk

### 1/5 — Great until the change of the new UI

*2026-01-08, version 4.1.21*

difficult to navigate - drops curfew settings and open the cat flap - battery error reported when battery still full - go back to the old UI please

### 1/5 — Slow bad faults

*2026-01-07, version 4.1.21*

Indoor only part is not working properly needs rectifying asap as can’t load up. Or add or remove cats from indoor sort it out!!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t seem to work with new iPhones

*2025-12-31, version 4.1.21*

Upset that the app
No longer works with new iPhones (17).

### 1/5 — App is not robust

*2025-12-12, version 4.1.21*

I bought and fitted the cat Connect flap in November. Setting it up for my cat, and also myself and my wife as Admin, seemed to go well, as did getting and giving invites to our neighbour, so we could share household details about our cats which need keeping apart as they fight. However, we now find that while my and my wife’s phone receive Meow’s when our cat comes and goes, I can access my neighbours household , but my wife can’t! Also I cannot see the status of our neighbours flap - no padlock icon shown beside the flap picture.
It is almost as though the linking with other household was an afterthought, to which little effort was put into to make sure it functions properly.

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2025-11-19, version 4.1.21*

Funny how I did a 1*review a few months ago and it has weirdly disappeared. Do you delete the poor reviews to maintain the laughable 4* on the App Store?……
The app is meant to record when your cat leaves the house and comes in. It is very hit and miss. I think my cat is still out but no he has come in and vice versa. Not accurate at all.
And no I am not going to raise this individually with you as is your get out clause with all the other poor reviews. Your product is not fit for purpose.

### 1/5 — Updating lock and curfew settings often doesn’t work

*2025-11-15, version 4.1.21*

The primary purpose of the app is to enable easy management of the cat flap lock, however it often just doesn’t work - you change a setting on the app and you just see a grey spinning wheel, often for hours. Tried calling support who were very unhelpful. And before anyone says otherwise, the hub is c1.5m from the cat flap with direct line of sight. Not good enough, especially given the cost.

### 1/5 — Cant control from my phone

*2025-10-11, version 4.1.21*

I have bought two of the same cat doors and the app to lock/unlock it from my phone doesn’t work for either one of them and the support team is very unhelpful. Now i dont know what to do unless a different cat door can fit into the hole that was my in my door.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2025-09-21, version 4.1.21*

Since the latest update I can’t access the cat flap under products to change locking features. Pressing the buttons does nothing. I also can’t access the individual pets to change their status. Pressing the pets buttons does nothing. My wife who is on the older version of the app can still do all of this

### 5/5 — Made my cat’s life so much better

*2026-08-20, version 4.3.0*

Absolutely amazing product! This cat flap has genuinely changed both my cat’s life and mine. She now has the freedom to come and go whenever she wants, which makes her so much happier and more independent.

For me, the biggest difference is the peace of mind. I no longer have to worry about whether she’s stuck outside or waiting at the door to get back in. She can go outside and explore when she wants, then come back inside whenever she feels like it.

It’s honestly one of those products you don’t realize how much you need until you have it. Seeing how much freedom it has given my cat while making my life so much easier has been amazing. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend it to any cat owner!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-09, version 4.3.0*

All app features work well. Only issue we have has is non app related, Sometimes signal can be weak because of device placement.

### 5/5 — Amazing product from an amazing company

*2026-07-02, version 4.2.0*

I can’t fault the products or the company. The cat flap is so convenient and helps us to know exactly what’s happening at home when we’re not there, it helps us to monitor the cats movements through day and night and we’d be lost without it. Every single time we’ve asked for anything Sure Petcare have gone above and beyond to help. Highly recommended
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2026-04-11, version 4.1.23*

I love this! It sets a curfew and tell me when they go out. Although it doesn’t tell me when they come in; which is rather inconvenient. I am not sure if it’s something I need to set up?

### 5/5 — Super usedul

*2026-04-11, version 4.1.23*

I need to monitor my cats water intake due to a medical condition and Felaqua is super helpful. I used to have a water fountain that was good in terms of moving the water which encourages cats to drink but did not like the fact that it is just circulating the same water that gets slimy (full of saliva). Fealqua is supplying fresh water from the bottle thatbis upside down and cats love it. And it measures the amount drunk by mililitre. It also sends you reminders to change the water. It is a brilliant product and the app works seamlessly.

### 5/5 — Great app and products

*2026-03-10, version 4.1.22*

We’ve got 4 cats with different dietary needs, the sure connect system is ideal. App works well, cats easily adapted to the feeders. All around excellent products.

### 5/5 — My cat loves it!

*2026-02-03, version 4.1.21*

Absolutely amazing my
Cat really loves it the schedule curfew is a game changer definitely worth while getting this

### 5/5 — Great door/app for peace of mind!

*2026-01-03, version 4.1.21*

I check this app all the time when I am traveling. It helps me feel way more at ease knowing my cat is inside or not, even just knowing shes ok and still moving around. The curfew settings are great! Living in a more rural place, this door also helps keep out creatures you dont want in your house. Another great feature is if your pet has the chip from the vet, it’s easy to program the door to that chip so they dont need to wear a collar.

### 5/5 — Peace of mind

*2025-12-30, version 4.1.21*

Our barn/garage cat is the only animal in our family who earns her keep. Getting notified in my phone that she is safely in the garage nightly gives me peace. One thing I can count on always working. Even when we are out of town I know she is just fine (or I know to send a friend to check). Great product!

### 5/5 — This is very good!

*2025-12-26, version 4.1.21*

Great to know when she is out and when she returns! Love the little meow announcements. I like being able to see how long she is out. The ability to easily set a curfew allows me to confidently let my young cat enjoy some guard railed freedom making both of us happy!
