But when it works, it’s amazing but it hasn’t worked in a long time. ### 2/5 — Sign in an authentication *2025-01-28, version 7.1.0* Why is it so difficult to log into this app? Even with Face ID I have to enter my password every time and sometimes it just doesn’t work for no reason and I have to reset it. It bounces you back and forth between login views. Is it a webview something isn’t smooth. It’s incredibly frustrating. Also you have to go to desktop to get any detailed reporting. ### 2/5 — Pain to Login *2024-07-15, version 6.0.0* Face ID doesn’t really work. Not as fully functional as the website. This is 2024 and Paychex is a big company that should be able to afford to invest in decent and functional mobile. ### 2/5 — Not reliable *2024-06-01, version 6.0.0* The app does not always work. Will not login and frequent error messages. Also requires you to enter your password and Face ID. Not easy to login to this app. Please fix! ### 3/5 — Need to fix the PTO *2024-05-29, version 5.0.3* While I was able to process payroll remotely, which is a great convenience, I was not able to properly include PTO taken by the employees. From a computer, PTO taken shows the dollar value of time off taken while keeping the number of PTO hours as part of the total hours worked. On the mobile phone, PTO taken is added on top of the total hours thereby increasing the payout. It’s an error that needs to be fixed. ### 2/5 — Not great. *2024-05-14, version 5.0.2* I have tried to use the app for years and always leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn’t seem to calculate changes in pay like reduced hours for salary, vacation pay etc. be very careful with vacation time. If you don’t reduce the hours of vacation from the hours worked, it will pay for both. It’s doesn’t do that online. Double and triple check it’s calculations on the app before approving. ### 2/5 — Frustrating! *2023-03-13, version 3.8.0* At least half of the time I need to run payroll the app will not operate so….I have to go to a computer and run it. So very very frustrating ### 1/5 — No Way to Change Password. Does t remember password or Face ID when logging in. Horrible app *2022-12-01, version 3.6.3* I am having issues with the Website so got a temporary password and able to login via the mobile app. However there is no way to change the password so was locked out of my account after 24 hours. Why you have a secure app with now method of changing s password is very poor design and customer service ### 1/5 — Unusable as of late *2022-11-30, version 3.6.3* In the past couple of updates the app is completely unusable for running payroll. They charge extra fees for every little change, even things that should be simple or standard. The system feels like it’s designed to nickel-and-dime customers rather than actually help them. Unprofessional staff. The support team is rude, unhelpful, and often dismissive. Instead of solving problems, they make excuses and show a bad attitude, leaving customers frustrated. Overall experience. The combination of poor service, constant hidden charges, and staff with no sense of responsibility makes this a company to avoid. It’s hard to change your password—I still have not been able to do it. The company as a whole is not great. I would consider doing your research to find a better payroll option. Customer service has very limited knowledge. The individual that helped sign us up has told us “not my job” when we’ve asked for help running payroll. They have charged us fees inappropriately and promised refunds, which have never happened.
