I also don’t like when you search for providers that you can’t view on the map, you only have an option to look at a list and it won’t let you pinch and zoom on the map to view. That’s frustrating. ### 3/5 — Glitches *2026-06-08, version 4.40.0* This app is very glitchy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes I can’t even log in. My password is saved but doesn’t work sometimes. FaceID doesn’t work most of the time. I’m constantly having to change my password. I am the only one on my insurance plan. I have no kids. I am not married. I am a man. Why are all my suggested doctors pediatricians and OBGYN? There’s no way to filter these out. For NPs there’s no way to know unless you google the address. Because guess what? most the time they don’t include the practice name. Just an address. So are you going to a pediatric facility? OBGYN? Neurology? That’s the surprise! You don’t know until you search the address. Oh you’re looking at a medical complex or hospital? Hope you’re not looking for up to date or accurate information either! Some DRs are ER docs, some other specialities. Never know! Leave it to an insurance company to not only drain your money, deny your claims and then require you to spend a part time job’s worth of hours just to try and find a PCP. Because it WILL take you hours on end just to find one in this horrible app. ### 1/5 — HealthCare-Unoptimized *2026-03-01, version 4.35.0* They make it a brutal nightmare just to get registered. Probably saves them money having a bunch of people never use their service. Can’t blame Luigi one bit. F UnitedHealth. Seriously. If you have any other choice take it. ### 1/5 — The worst insurance company *2026-02-11, version 4.34.0* Its not worth to use this insurance, most of the time copay is only 80% percent of the bill and again premium on this. ### 2/5 — Can’t log into the Surest App *2026-02-04, version 4.34.0* I have not been able to log into the Surest app since late 2025. When attempting to log in, the app states there is an error with the Health Safe ID that provides the authentication. When logging in via the browser, I’m redirected to the app which does not load or log me in. My only choice is to delete the app and only use the browser on my phone or on my PC. I’ve contacted support and they were not able to resolve the issue or provide any explanation. I have deleted and reinstalled the app with no success with logging in. ### 1/5 — Can’t Access Online *2026-02-03, version 4.34.0* I registered when my coverage first started, however, I have a difficult time accessing the online portal to search for providers. It forgot my password and after resetting it keeps telling me I need to register. Once I try to register it tells me I don’t need to register I can simply “sign in”, which takes me to a screen to confirm my identity, which then takes me to registration screen, again!!! I called customer support and they told me that I should attempt to login from a computer and not my cellphone. Same issue! Why have an app that can’t be accessed? Please fix this issue! ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-02-03, version 4.34.0* This app ostensibly serves as a way for policyholders to find a doctor in their area that’s in-network. The app is completely useless for this purpose. When trying to find a primary physician, four highly-rated doctors near me no longer accept Surest. They remain near the top of the search results in my area because of their high ratings. The doctor I settled on is charging me hundreds of dollars for the visit, a far cry from the copay listed in the app. Oh yeah, those ratings are a score of how much these doctors bill insurance. Doctors that bill a lot get low ratings. The quality of the care does not factor into this rating. It’s a useless metric that only serves to benefit the insurance company, not you. Unfortunately, the app is the only convenient way to find care, and I’m sure the data collected from my phone is valuable for resale. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — hard to use *2026-08-11, version 4.42.0* Login is terrible. The app is really hard to find the right doctor. It’s now June. Had same issue last year for months. “Send Failed” and “Invalid token/ auth code please try again” errors even after resetting password. ### 1/5 — Updated app Face ID won’t work *2026-05-06, version 4.38.0* New update and Face ID isn’t an option anymore. It’s there but not clickable. ### 1/5 — Inaccurate Coverage Info *2026-04-16, version 4.37.0* The vast majority of locations I have contacted and visited do not accept my insurance, despite them being labeled as in-network on this app. I have found the information on this app to be completely unreliable and I do not recommend it to anyone. ### 1/5 — Worst experience *2026-04-15, version 4.37.0* Rating system for providers is horrible, app is clunky and email alerts don’t work. Very difficult to sign in. App launches a website for authentication which bugs out from time to time giving red error message. Paying 3x what I used to pay for drugs and even generics are priced same as name brand.
