Very disappointed, particularly as this is the only game to do so. It's worth playing twice but only if you don!t have to pay twice. ### 2/5 — Problems with tap accuracy *2019-09-02, version 1.0.2* Some puzzles took many attempts to tap an item (I had to tap the same spot over and over until the game “accepted” that I was tapping the item). I had to ship one game because it wouldn’t let me tap and move an item. Great storyline but I don’t think they fleshed it out enough, could’ve been better. Some irritating issues with repeated tapping required. Storyline easy to follow, not a lot of backtracking. Very good visuals and sound. Dieses Spiel zahle ich nun über Telefon Rechnung. Und das gefällt mir überhaupt nicht 😠😠😠 Für PC Spiele bekomme Gutschriften über Bigfish online. Wieso funzt das mit den iPad Spielen nicht genauso? 🤔 Nur deshalb gebe ich hier nur 4 von 5 Sternen 😑😑😑 ### 4/5 — I'm Floating Towards The "Surface" With "Divine" Fun! *2016-09-08, version 1.0.2* It's unfortunate that this series has diverted away from its original, trend-setting, and steampunk orientation as was prevalent in its predecessors. The plot is introduced as a narrative account of the bizarre and extraordinary circumstances regarding the disappearances of a group of friends. You participate in a sinister, calamitous, and "win-or-die" game-board experiment; as you continue your pilgrimage, you are driven to face your anxieties and overcome any obstacles that prevent you from succeeding. The graphics are deficient and mediocre in presentation and quality; they appeared faded and muddy. The colorations are saturated with darker shades that overshadow any traces of brighter ones. You can customize your settings; standard options offered. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The map enabled fluid teleportation; however, it would erroneously indicate available tasks at locations where there were no actions to perform. Some of the HOS are impressive and notable; they incorporate parts of the story as you effectuate actions, such as taking incoming telephone calls and e-mails. Some puzzles are imaginative and clever; I love the one where you dress the skeletons with armor. You collect items; they are highly visible. This game was not void of technical glitches. The calibration needs tweaking; touch sensitivity is flawed, which impedes harmonious continuity. In addition, it was tedious to move the parts of some puzzles to their proper places. Due to the issues above, I would have rated this game 3.5 stars; however, the story held my attention as did the satisfying assortment of HOS and puzzles. I also bought this on sale for $2.99! Therefore, I am rounding off my rating to 4 stars. ### 3/5 — Surface five *2016-08-18, version 1.0.2* Fun game ### 4/5 — Good Game But Not My Favorite *2016-01-18, version 1.0.2* It was a good game, but not my favorite of the Surface series. The storyline was so-so, graphics and mini games mediocre, but the hidden object scenes were the best part of the game therefore I gave it 4 stars. ### 3/5 — Big name...not so big game *2016-01-08, version 1.0.2* Both the Main story & Bonus chapter are markedly brief, and there is no opportunity to replay any HOPs or mini-puzzles. Also, there is an occasional, minor issue with objects being stubborn or non-responsive to touch. However, there are numerous collectibles and Elephant Games has managed to create an unusual story with an eerie atmosphere; but with so much competition on the market, I'd pass on this one. ### 4/5 — Really enjoyed this game *2015-11-23, version 1.0.2* I Really enjoyed this game, it had good mini games and had good storyline. This is one of those games that you want to play again., well I did. AND WHY CAN I NOT ACCESS THE FRACKING GUIDE WITHIN THE GAME?? Storyline was about as engaging as watching a sloth try to poop for 3 hours. Multiple taps to engage items in order to sludge thru to the ending led to me questioning my own existence. There's no pizazz in this - it's like an interactive short film where your sole responsibility is to press play. The worst part about all of this is BF doesn't care. You play Alice Russell and are called to save your missing friends who have all fallen prey to a game of life. Graphics are amazing as you would expect with elephant. There are lots of collectables, flowers and statues. You can use the flowers to bling your home up with. There are also trophies and awards. The hidden object games are very interactive and there is quite often mini games within them. They're not too hard. You can also custom your gameplay and set hints to charge up faster. The map is interactive too and you can use it to jump to a location. I'm only about half way through and have had no problems. They earn you the points (money) to decorate a lovely room.
