Only this year was the repor for one of our breaks included. Thanks for a start. We now have at least a dozen breaks within a hour of Misawa on Surfline. I can rely on simple color codes instead of decoding winds, swell (size&direction), period, tide. I am using Dawn Patrol to connect with my Apple Watch. There’s still some bugs in this program connection. I’m sure this will get worked out over time. I was looking forward to a 5-7 ft swell that was forecasted all week. I wake up early to get out to the beach and it’s barely knee high. This has happened so many times I’ve lost all trust in surfline’s forecasts. They inflate the forecast so you check the app more so they can serve you more ads. I would rather have an accurate forecast than a a straight lies. ### 1/5 — Sad to see what Surfline has become… *2026-06-30, version 19.16.0* This app used to be pretty cool. The free version was just enough for beginners who go every once in a while. Premium was definitely affordable and unlocked longer forecast and cams without ads and more details for the more advanced surfer. You used to be able to watch lots of cams for free in real time with ads. Then Surfline started buying up all the cams and charging more and more for premium and cutting out any and all free cams at least in my area. But don’t worry now you can watch yesterday’s pointless conditions with ads if you can get the cam screen to load. I hate how they have changed the design and flow of the app it’s garbage. Been using this app for probably 6 to 7 years now.
