All it does is provide information I already know and that is readily available elsewhere on the web. ### 4/5 — 1.4.20 no longer loads. Stuck at splash screen *2025-10-07, version 1.4.20* The app is great usually, but for the last couple weeks the app no longer loads past the splash screen with the surgery app logo. You can’t delete it and it will take up memory on phone. It’s effectively malware. ### 3/5 — GP manner *2024-10-06, version 1.4.20* I was impressed when I was offered an appointment the same morning I rang due to symptoms I was having, however the attitude of the GP made me feel a hypochondriac, gone are the days when your GP knew your medical background, and showed concern, I won’t name the GP but it felt like he was glad to get me out of the room ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-09-13, version 1.4.20* This app is useless. You can’t do anything on this app that you can’t do on the website. You can’t make appointments with doctor or nurse, you can only cancel appointments and even then you have to populate the form yourself. It doesn’t automatically fill with details that could be had from your account. When cancelling appointments you have to manually say when it is, it isn’t linked to a database of your appointments. This is all disappointing when you’re able to book nurse appointments on the website. It seems the best approach is just to call the surgery. Compared to the NHS app they have in England, this is so primitive. The only other thing you can do is check your symptoms, which you can do online. ### 1/5 — Shame you can’t give 0 stars *2024-09-12, version 1.4.20* The Covid page has at least 3 different errors for unfound pages, why have the page if none of it works Repeat prescriptions takes you to the existing web page, why aren’t you using REST services to retrieve the data rather than going elsewhere Why does the app use the Face ID recognition every time you have been forced to a webpage and come back The “<“ is in different places on each page and on some it disappears when you scroll and only comes back when you scroll to the top You QA team should be driving the look and feel of this app to ensure consistency. From previous experience this happens when there is no communication between teams. Work in an Agile way and this won’t happen ### 1/5 — Phone back later queue full. Try app. *2024-08-27, version 1.4.20* Now 35 minutes. Still full. Loaded app. Does nothing to help. Does not allow access to any medical personnel. Need to sort urine test for wife recovering from stroke. When you try to contact the surgery electronically via the app you’re simply told that you can’t because it’s ‘out of hours’. It is midday now. Have to create online account to use online appointment booking. *2024-03-13, version 1.4.20* Only just started using this app. Have no choice as our old system has been removed. (Not by GP practice). You seem to be able to do a plethora of tasks on here. Most of which most people wouldn’t want in my opinion. To use online appointment booking, Which I use a lot, you first have to create an online account (not sure if that will give me access to that facility even then) The app has most of my details, as before but you have to supply photos and info a lot of people might not have or be able to carry out. Have tried to create online registration today so will see how long and how successful that will be. So far not impressed. Our surgery by the way is super. ### 2/5 — Less useful than a static HTML webpage *2024-03-10, version 1.4.20* As interactive as a .pdf file. You may as well just have your surgery phone number in your phone for what it does and save valuable space for cat pics. ### 1/5 — Appointment *2024-02-28, version 1.4.20* Tried phoning since 8am it took 185 attempts finally got through only to be told that all available slots have been allocated please explain to me how do I get an appointment to see a Doctor ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t book blood tests when it gives a option to *2026-03-06, version 1.4.20* Absolutely hate this app only just started using it as am now with a surgery that uses it and I can’t book a blood test online even though it gives me a option keeps telling me my details are missing and so it don’t let me book it I’ve now given up trying to do been trying for last 2 hours ### 1/5 — This app is useless!! *2025-11-21, version 1.4.20* When I ring the surgery, the message explains that I can make appointments via this app so that I don’t wait in a queue of 6 callers before I can speak to someone. I now need to book a blood test which I have spoken to our call centre. I have just had a text from them to book the appointment through this app. There no facility on this app to make an appointment. This is really frustrating…… ### 1/5 — not working *2025-09-21, version 1.4.20* had to use the app a lot last year to sort some issues, need to use it to book an appointment and it stays on the loading screen tried uninstalling, reinstalling, it doesn’t work ### 1/5 — No longer loads *2025-08-12, version 1.4.20* The app itself when I last used it ran fine although difficult to navigate and some of the language used was a bit vague but unfortunately this current version 1.4.20 won’t even load to let me log in. Tried closing, restarting the app, removing and reinstalling as well as a full phone reboot and it still just sits there on the logo page showing the version number. No confirmation or evidence of contacting your surgery when it used to work which made it hard when trying to prove and confirm messages or contact through the app. ### 1/5 — Don’t care *2025-07-30, version 1.4.20* Partner has always been really Healthy and not been to the doctors for 20 years recently diagnosed with v high blood pressure and coronary artery disease so has been numerous times due to this but they never read your notes, go for high blood pressure as it won’t go down and asked if have high blood pressure problems and then ask why on aspirin! and try getting past the receptionist, my partner had a pull and was in pain so ring the surgery the receptionist said I don’t know much but if gtn spray worked you should be ok ### 1/5 — Waste of Taxpayers money *2025-04-11, version 1.4.20* I could not find anything of value using this app what a waste of time and money (taxpayers) you can’t order repeat prescriptions, can’t see appointments booked, unless you write them in like a normal diary, it just seems to try a stop you from calling the doctor encouraging you to self diagnose. Called again at 11am got 4th in the Que at 1pm only for th operator to say they can't take calls at the moment and disconnected the line. Need my son to see a dr today so will go over and sit and wait now for him to be seen. I would feel so much at ease if she was my permanent doctor. I suffer with Anxiety and she made me feel very comfortable. Thanks Doctor Badger for caring for patients the way they should be treated.
