## What is Sursaut?

Your phone is not the enemy. Sursaut turns it into an ally: a gentle dopamine detox and a scroll blocker that leaves you the choice.

Pick one app — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, the one you open on autopilot. Sursaut shields it behind a short pause: sixty seconds of breathing, or three hundred steps. When the pause ends, the app opens normally. When your time is up, the shield comes back on its own.

No shame, no punishment. Just a moment to choose, before the doomscrolling starts.

WHAT SURSAUT DOES
• Cuts your screen time by protecting one app of your choice with Apple’s Screen Time tools
• Offers a pause that matches your goal: scroll less, move more, sleep better, focus
• Counts your steps with the iPhone’s sensors for the walking pause
• Gives you back control without punishing you: every pause is a door, not a wall

WHAT SURSAUT DOES NOT DO
• No account, no ads: protecting one app is free, forever
• Your apps, your usage and your steps stay on your iPhone. Only anonymous statistics about how Sursaut itself is used are shared, and you can turn them off in Settings
• No medical claims. Sursaut is a digital wellbeing tool, not a treatment

BUILT TO STAY CALM
No points, no streaks to protect, no guilt. One action at a time, large type, dark mode, VoiceOver and Dynamic Type.

Sursaut uses Apple’s Screen Time APIs. It will ask for that permission once, and explain why.

SURSAUT PREMIUM
An optional subscription to shield every app that pulls you in, behind the same screen, and see your weekly review. Yearly plan with a 7-day free trial, or monthly plan. Renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; cancel during the trial and you are not charged. The exact price is shown in the app before any purchase. One protected app, the pauses and the minutes you earn stay free.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.0 — 2026-10-18

Sursaut now shares anonymous statistics about how the app itself is used — which screens are seen, which pauses are completed — to learn what actually helps. No identifier, never your apps or what you do in them. You can turn them off anytime in Settings.

Plus a few fixes.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-14

Share your progress: a story-sized card with your pauses and the minutes you earned, ready to post. Nothing on it reveals the apps you protect.

New in Premium: your weekly review, day by day.

A clearer free trial: see what happens at each step, and get a notification two days before it ends if notifications are on.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-12

A clearer start: Sursaut shows you on one screen what your daily scrolling adds up to over a year, and explains before iOS does what the Screen Time permission allows — and what it doesn’t.

After your first successful pause, Sursaut introduces Premium, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. A "Later" button is always there.

Plus a cleaner design: icons, a progress bar, rounded buttons.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-08

Sursaut Premium, for when protecting a single app is no longer enough: shield TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and the rest behind the same screen.

Nothing else changes. One protected app, the pauses and the minutes you earn all stay free, exactly as before.

Also in this version: the notification that brings you back from the shield now arrives every time.

### 1.0 — 2026-10-04
