The map sometimes seemed a little glitchy, but overall it was working just fine. I have worked on this app for 3+ years as my soul income. Did you really mean to add the red pins, seemingly useless extra steps? It was definitely time-consuming navigating the app while working towards my deadline and overall at the end of my day, I feel incredibly frustrated with how much time I spent trying to get the app to work. When I open the map it’s full of red pins with no indication of what assignment it is. I tend to have multiple assignments in the same locations with different deadlines. So once passed the red pin ( 2 extra steps) I can get to the page with the color coated assignments. At that point, the map stops working altogether!! It stays stuck on one assignment even though I am attempting to look at other locations. I have to close the app and start over again. Also while I am working on the app, it just quits. Multiple times a day. I do several jobs a day in fact I’ve done 22 in one day, that requires speed and efficiency. This update is anything but. It’s been five days. I haven’t got paid out for three audits that I did and I was on my very last limb. This is something that I found and I’m just gonna say word-of-mouth goes a very long way if it’s not something that’s reputable and isn’t known for its issues. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time or money *2026-07-28, version 4.65.6* This company makes it difficult to trust them they sound so good until it comes to pay you for your services and work on projects I put out 600.00 hundred dollars on travel expenses for them to not even pay me close to the amount I paid out to try to help them out now my rent is due and other bills are due meanwhile they play around and act like they are getting my past projects approved to pay me and I’m going to be homeless without the money to pay my rent ### 3/5 — The Pay Is Low *2026-07-28, version 4.65.6* I have been with this app for years and the communication with the agents has gotten worse. Honestly, I will say I have been paid on each assignment. It’s cool for extra money. But, I worked a job where I was with other ppl from Survey like me and found out one them was offered a higher per hour for the same job and I learned that this company will pay various hourly pay to us depending on who you are I guess. Not fair, but life is not fair either. The pay like another reviewer said, is like sweat shop wages for assignments that want so much detail and pictures (redundant information) that you already recorded for $9 per store. I completed one Store assignment and they disapproved and wanted me to go back. I had to prove the work I had done, thank God it was accepted and I was paid. I was not going back to take more unnecessary photos for only $8. Why? I assume if we take the job for x amt. then they will keep paying low wages. The most I have made is from a Store Reset and that was physical hard work on my body. The demos, they expect you to bring your own table, table cloth, etc. For $80 for 4 hours. No thank you. That is for the store to provide. It’s not worth it, but earning a few bucks for a quick survey keeps me staying on. This apps got you covered! They’ll send you offers that’ll guaranteed loose you money AND put wear and tear on your car! 😍. That’s if they pay you at all cause they love to void payments for arbitrary reasons. Better yet the support staff will lie to you and constantly and treat you like you’re the problem if you have anything to say about it. That’s if they say anything at all cause there’s no number to call and the support line is rarely responded to. You’ve gotta talk to this AI called Steve before talking to a human. Steve also conveniently deletes all messages after the conversation ends ensuring that the support staff will NEVER have to take accountability for their actions. Just the absolute worst! You’re left trying to figure it out on your own. Had to retake my cigarette pictures 3 times and my Frankie’s popcorn ending pics twice!! ### 1/5 — Not worth the pay *2026-08-18, version 4.65.6* Time spent versus payout is extremely low compared to other apps with the same jobs. You can have thirty tasks and if they think you took one photo wrong the entire job is not paid out. Instructions are repetitive and time consuming and the layout of them is an ADHD’ers nightmare. Pretty sure support is AI - one job continued to be refused for a photo that I had taken and the feedback is like a broken record. I still don’t understand why the job was denied payment. They use example photos of what is missing in some cases but the photos I received were clearly from a different location. Not every national store Is set up the same so the refusals and their “evidence” are invalid. Furthermore stores frequently change their layouts - again making their “evidence” invalid. My fiance and I have been trying to get ahold of someone in support to call or message 1 of us. That’s a joke. If they sent a message it was just to tell us that one or the other needed to contact them. Bigger joke. Now down to the wire of having a problem with the OPENFORCE account without support even once taking the time to explain exactly what needs to be done or how to do it, we are informed that the project to start won’t be able to be started if this problem isn’t fixed. But again. No help to complete the account. And still after an entire week, there hasn’t been a phone call. ### 1/5 — Data miner. Nope. Can’t complete profile without agreeing to push notifications and keep getting the message to complete a question, and when I try, get the message “improvements coming soon” and can’t go any further. Downloading the app automatically authorizes the developer access to our data. If you’re looking to make good money, you must be willing and able to invest the time and resources (gas, car, printing, time) and stick with it to prove yourself reliable and capable. There is a learning curve and so jibs don’t get done as quickly as estimated or quoted in beginning and pay starts low as well. The local store tasks, like taking product photos and placing promos are straightforward and easy to follow. Best of all, payments are highly reliable and consistently process on time. Whenever I have a quick question about an assignment, the in-app customer support team responds fast and helps me resolve it. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a flexible side hustle! ### 5/5 — Independent Contractor Gigs *2026-07-20, version 4.65.6* I’ve made $40,000 with Survey Merchandiser in the last 4 years. $10,000 a year for a side hustle is pretty good money, in my opinion. You have to work with them for a bit to get a handle on what they’re looking for, but once you’ve established yourself they’ll set you up with good reset jobs and higher paying route options. I did routes for them when the cigarette compliance signs had to be updated and they gave me over $3600 for 225 stores. They’ve also given me reset jobs at $21/hr. with the jobs lasting 2-6 hours.
