The departure gate zombies are way too high in health. A normal zombie any where else takes 2 strikes with standard weapon but here it takes way too many with a powered up weapon, then there’s the higher level zombies. This needs to be updated so we at least have a chance to beat them. I know we have military backup but they die as well. 2. Any items we don’t want we should be able to recycle, so maybe putting in a recyclables table where we can break down items like the useless scavenger clothes etc. if we as survivors can make bullets from scrap and turrets from nothing then I’m sure we can break down old shirts etc. 3. Weapons durability is weak. They shouldn’t be useless after 10 strikes. Maybe increasing the durability for weapons as I cannot keep up with running around looking for items to repair them. Other that That it’s an incredible game good for passing the time but also needs to have more updates and deffo needs to have the mating update sooner than later ### 4/5 — Great game! *2023-02-20, version 1.2.27* I used to play this game about 5 years ago, I can’t remember why but I stopped playing it. About 3 weeks ago I downloaded it again and started playing it. It is the best zombie game I’ve played. It’s fun and addicting. The only concern I have is that it was last updated 2 years ago. Im hoping it gets updated again so that there’s more game to play. Shelter 13 only has 2 levels but the elevator shows 6 levels, will we ever be able to get to those other levels? I don’t think there’s a way to fix the motorcycle because of the way things are lined up in the game. I’ve also been watching some tips and tricks on things I’ve had a hard time figuring out, it doesn’t seem as if anyone plays the game anymore so that leaves me worried the game will not be updated. ### 2/5 — Ok game *2023-01-18* Reasons for not rating higher. Food and water meter depletes faster when compared with other games of this nature. When you have crafting materials stored in one of your many storage boxes. You approach a workbench or a crafting station but you cannot craft unless you have the material on your person. You have to go sort through all your storage boxes to find the required crafting components. Then go back to the work bench and craft. Why? This is a ridiculous waste of time, taking away from meaningful game play. Especially considering food and water meters are constantly draining. Unless this were to change, I believe a lot of players will leave eventually because of these flaws. Ultimately the developer will miss out on potential revenue from in game purchases because of these flaws. Also you cannot directly consume an item from a search or from the water collector. You have to store it the backpack and then exit the dew collector or search then go to your backpack to consume it. These are serious flaws. ### 3/5 — Pretty good but some things bother me *2022-08-02, version 1.2.27* It has good survival elements and as long as you can wait a bit for when resources replenish or are done being crafted. It has a good pace as long as you follow the survival handbook. My problem started when I died going to an airdrop supply run. A high level boss monster killed me in two hits. So I went again trying to retrieve my items but that same monster was on my corpse and killed me again. To my disappointment when I arrived a third time I saw that all my items where gone because I died trying to retrieve my items. This is a major oversight in my opinion and I was carrying all of my high leveled up gear I had and weapons. I’m uninstalling since that deletion system has caused dozens of hours to go to waste and I’m just not willing to go through that again. ### 5/5 — Good game *2022-06-10, version 1.2.27* I have been playing this game for quite some time and it is really good but there is no way to get all of the supplies and equipment you need and require to build things such as the motor cycle and the watchtower you can’t find the exhaust anywhere and have a extremely low to no chance of getting it from the free chests in the item shop and you can’t find the control bench for the watchtower either if you could just put those two items in the map area that would be great and make it where you have a better chance of getting the exhaust pipe from the free chests instead of getting stuff like gold and things like that I would really appreciate it if you could do that for everyone who play’s this game. ### 4/5 — We all play *2022-04-19* Started off my husband found this game and started playing out of boredom. Then our son downloaded and was hooked. Then I downloaded and was hooked. 3 new players in 1 night. We’ve been playing for months. My husband has veered the helicopter and made it to the hospital. My son & I can get passed the last wave at the helicopter. It’s now becoming which of us has the better weapons. Here’s the stopper. Apparently you make it to the hospital, but the loot you find is not worth what it takes to get it. And there are so many weapons that currently you can only happen across. You can not make them cause they are not available yet. Come on and make these available already! I read comments that people are mad they’re loosing their stuff when they die. Umm, 10 coins and you instantly revive. I’ve never lost my stuff. Some are talking about quests? What quests? Other than building the motorcycle. I found a journal while plundering someone once but once you’ve gone thru it all your done. It’s all just rinse and repeat. Don’t get me wrong, we love the game! Never been any firther than the town cant wait to go beyond ### 5/5 — This game is amazing but needs a few updates *2021-07-20, version 1.2.27* In my personal waiting for this game it’s five stores probably including because it has actual physics except for the part where your character goes flying on a zombie kills you lol and also the physics on this game is good all because you can reload your gun if you have ammo but the one thing I think is weird and needs to be updated is that you can’t reload your gun when you have the ammo for it and stuff because you need to go to home and then go to the bench in order to put the ammo in and reload your gun which is weird for considering the physics are supposed to be good anyways thanks for your time. ### 3/5 — Fun game until you can’t progress anymore *2021-06-06, version 1.2.27* Been playing this game since it first came out. Really challenging but fun up until you want to repair your radio tower. Initially you needed to collect copper wire which you couldn’t get until you conquered Old Town. After several attempts I finally did this and suddenly it required a “helicopter bench control” which in the icon looks exactly like a typewriter. According to all the guides I could find, you are supposed to complete the third zombie wave at the helicopter departure location to get the helicopter control bench. So I did that and got three typewriters which match the icon for the “helicopter control bench”. I still can’t get the radio tower to work and the fourth wave of zombies at the departure are absolutely impossible. I don’t understand why the developers changed the requirement for the radio tower. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unfinished game *2024-10-13* The game is partially in Chinese and there is no 60 fps. 0/10 ### 1/5 — Looks good, but UNPLAYABE *2022-10-01* The game is pretty well made graphically, but is completely unplayable! DON’T WASTE/INVEST YOUR TIME WITH THIS!!! I understand these games need a bit of grinding, BUT this is completely UNSUSTAINABLE - you hit 3 zombies and your weapon is broken, you have to make couple of runs just to collect the raw resources to repair it, then process them, BUT in the mean time you get hungry and thirsty 2-3 times so you need to go collect food materials and water then cook, then collect water again to drink and you’re back to square one and you HAVEN’T ACHIEVED ANYTHING. You then finally ready to go fight, but you get killed with 2 hits by some aggressive poison zombie and can not even collect your stuff because it kills you again and again, and ALL YOUR STUFF IS GONE! Not to mention that in the mean time there are zombie waves to your base. ### 1/5 — Developers don’t seem to care *2021-01-20* The gameplay is really quite fun, up until you reach the point where it’s just a bunch of dead-ends because they haven’t updated The game in so long. Many features are simply “not in the game yet.” So once you reach a certain point, there’s just nothing left to do and no way to advance. Recently there have been bugs causing my items to just vanish (which is a major turn off because high quality items take a lot of time to craft, and to have them just disappear is a huge slap in the face) I’ve tried to contact the develops on numerous occasions about it but haven’t heard a word back. Beyond frustrating. Seems to me like they don’t really give a damn, or have just completely forgot about the game at all. Devs if you’re reading this, do your fans the slightest favour and check your flipping email once and a while. It’s a damn shame, there’s a lot of potential in this game. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2020-10-06* You just spend all your time preparing for the zombie wave, and if you’re out of game while it happens, then they total your house to the ground and you have to start all over producing more wood planks more stone bricks. It’s a constant struggle to keep producing. Once your house is maxed you have to start producing to keep your clothes and weapons in top shape. Then you get hit again and have to start doing your house up again. If you work 8 hours of the day like me, then don’t bother with it, the game was designed to keep you on it 24/7. You won’t have time to go to the good areas and kill zombies cause you’ll be at home producing wood and brick and cloth and rope. Waste of my time, might as well play a civilisation game if i have to keep producing at least i’ll get somewhere with that. ### 1/5 — Updates NEED FIXING *2020-09-20* The game since update is charging me twice for in app purchases. It’s been happening for weeks and yes my money will be returned IF I notice and contact the developers but there has been no change. The problem keeps happening and it’s very dissatisfying to know that when you purchase that item, they will charge you twice and you have to go down the ‘get my money back’ rabbit hole. Uncool. The developers are aware, just hasn’t been fixed yet...at least on ios. I’m genuinely fearful when I even see the app icon on my phone. My app is just not working the same. There’s glitches and annoying things like it keeps telling me I’ve won an achievement but haven’t. My wood work bench won’t let me pick up finished items in one slot. So I’m one slot short in production which cost game coins I had bought with real money. I’ve also been over charged twice. Sorry (not sorry) but I’ve found another game that’s worthy of the several hundred dollars I’ve spent over the years on this game. I’ve reinstalled the game to find the same issues and I simply don’t want to be stuffed around anymore. I play games for stress relief....not to add jobs to my day. ### 1/5 — Good game but greedy developers *2020-08-12* I downloaded this game and spent hours on it building my character and house.. but later on the game I realised there would be a lot of unnecessary load times for simple products, like metal, wood, and crafting materials. (the only way to speed the process would be to pay real money for coins), the more I played the game the more I realised how much the developers are trying hard to make you spend real money for virtual coins to pay or speed things up for basic things like wood, metal, and upgrades. This game would have been on the top of the Games list if it weren’t for the greed of money. Like I said, I spent hours happily playing this game till I got to a high enough level where my materials were advanced and the time it took to repair/upgrade them were unreasonably too long. This game had a high potential but the developers let the money go to their heads and destroyed the whole concept of the game. If you’re one of the developers and you’re reading this.. I just want you to know you could have made millions instead of just thousands. What I say is the developer should go back and completely change the game. Because it is extremely unfair to go work your but off to make a wonderful game thats available on mobile game which is Last Day on earth and then it gets copied. So whoever the creator is of this game go away and get your own ideas and STOP RIPPING OFF OTHER GAMES. And also what the hell is the whole robot thing about. There is a robot at the edge of the island and apparently it harvests stuff for you. However, the customer service and management of in game purchases is the worst I have ever had to deal with. If for any reason you make a purchase and something goes wrong... the item you purchase does not appear or it become lost in the process of game play... you are simply outa luck. The management of the game and customer service running it will not help you for nothing... they do not take care of the customer and only desire for you to spend more money... it is really too bad because the game and gameplay is overall very good but if you need anything form the game administration they will not!!! Help you!!! And they respond to these reviews saying plz try again but I attempted for weeks to get a replacement item with purchase verification and they blew me off and did not do crap for me but take my money... so be advised! This game gas the worst customer service ever!!!! And good luck!!! ### 1/5 — Terrible *2020-04-18* The game started well but it got boring real quick. You can’t go without spending cash to get by and when you do, the supplies don’t last long enough. It was almost impossible to take down big opponents like The butcher because the AK47 Ammo was scarce and finding materials to produce one was unnecessarily hard. For a survival game that requires you building weapons, bolts and gunpowder were scarce too. What was worse is you couldn’t manufacture them to build ammo. The weapons were less potent and didn’t match the toughness of big opponents. And what’s up with not being able to reload on the battlefield? If I have ammo in my bag, doesn’t it make sense that I’m able to reload in the middle of a fight instead of running off, wasting energy and going on a trip back home to reload? ### 1/5 — Fun, but dumb mechanics. *2020-03-25, version 1.2.23* So in shelter 13 level 2... there is machine gun turret. If you die next to it, you have no way to retrieve your stuff. Every time you go back... the turret auto kills you. You lose all your best stuff after 10 minutes. And just like that... it’s all gone. The zombies 1 hit you. You will die a lot! Ok update to earlier rating... I actually dropped this game a star. It is a scam. So I wrote two messages to in game developer feedback, and crickets I have heard nothing. I got a developer response on here within hours... saying make sure u address this in developer feedback🤬 Guys the game is fun... but it is a scam. I bought the 14 dollar upgraded backpack... see above what happened. After ten minutes it was gone, like I never bought it. This is just seriously bad... yes I spent the money, that should be a permanent item that can never be taken, unfortunately though it is. They will never get another dime from me, and hopefully never from you also. Check their response to all isssues... leave in game feedback. But again it doesn’t get addressed. I've been playing this game on and off for a few years end every time I stop it's because of the zombie waves, after you make the bridge to the mainland a wave of zombies attack and pretty much destroy my home base, every 24 hours or so. It's so difficult to get the resources, or if they raid chests get all of my various items back. If the developers would simply take this feature out or at least tone it down, such as making it more like once a week or 2 or just nerfing some of the enemies.
