It’s a breath of fresh air from previous survival sandbox games I’ve exhausted. BUT. This game is for those who have patience. The amount of times I have absurdly and unintentionally met my fate and left back at square one cannot be counted. Even a decade later, I am still finding new parts to the game that are subtle but still fun! This has kept me playing, even with the gap between updates. Thank you Klaaus! I would love it if the horses had more varieties- such as pinto, appaloosa markings, more white markings like the blaze, star, stripe, baldy for faces and socks, pasterns, and stockings on the legs. I would love it if the horses were different colors too. I don’t even care about breeding, I just would love some more variety. Buckskins, blue and red Roans, horses with different white markings for the legs and face, different shades of gray for the white horse- maybe an actual cremello white horse and then gray horses with different markings- Fleabitten, dapple, steel gray etc. I love the horse furniture and the horse mechanics themselves. However there is a bug- horses no longer have stubbornness. They don’t balk or stop anymore while you’re riding. I keep mine fed so that they don’t despawn, but I would love for this bug to be fixed. Thank you! ### 2/5 — The RNG “miss” mechanic is horrid *2026-01-29, version 2.4.63.0* Died to a wolf because I literally could not land a single hit because I RNG “missed” 4 times in a row… that on top of you can only strike once per second and I bought as well have just set my phone down and let it happen. Pair that on top of mobile touchscreen controls being naturally inefficient for this kind of game play and the combat comes off very clunky and difficult. it was literally right in front of me and I had an axe but I was functionally defenseless. They cranked up fake difficulty and forgot what made the game fun. Combat is unbearably slow and it takes literal minutes of spamming hits just to kill a small animal. Tools make no sense (a stick breaks wood faster than a stone axe?), and cooking food or finding coal/any ore is a miserable guessing game. There's no intuitive crafting, no guidance and survival feels more like a punishment than a challenge. It's not "realistic" it's just badly designed. I bought this for nostalgia but it feels like they gutted the soul of the original and replaced it with frustration. It’s a grinding simulator. Im ten minutes into the game, and it won’t let me adjust the controls to fit my screen. The settings don’t have an option to move the controls inward. It won’t let me craft anything and the help tab doesn’t explain what to do about it. I can put the item in slot to craft, but I’m unable to take the item out that I wanted to craft. Example, I put in wood, but was unable to get the wood planks. As a result, my character got sick because of the rain. I couldn’t build a shelter because I couldn’t even craft basic items. 😭 I remember this game being actually playable when I was a kid. I came for the nostalgia, but lowkey just got annoyed. I hope that this criticism is taken to heart and the developers can fix these bugs ### 1/5 — So was von schlecht! *2024-10-13* Es gibt viele Sachen die auf den Bildern gezeigt werden nicht! It is really great to build with, possibly better than most sandbox games with the versatility of furniture and advanced electronics. My only suggestion would be to add a fill tool (creative mode only), like a wand that can be 'loaded' with a block (similar to the musket) and then the user clicks two blocks which mark the corners of the cube to be filled. It would make building furniture and large rooms much faster.
