## What is Sutra Yoga?

Sutra is a yoga class builder and player for iPhone and Apple Watch.

BUILD YOUR CLASS
Lay out a class as a series of timed blocks — each with its own pose list — and attach an Apple Music playlist. Start from a template or a blank class.

RUN IT HANDS-FREE FROM YOUR WRIST
Press play on your Apple Watch and your phone does the rest: the class timer runs on your wrist while the music plays through your phone. Glance down for the current block, time remaining, what's next, and song controls. Adjust volume with the Digital Crown. The session keeps running even with your wrist down.

ONE LIVE SESSION, BOTH DEVICES
Start on your phone or your watch — open either app and you drop straight into the live session, perfectly in sync. Minimize the player to a mini-bar and keep using your phone; the class keeps running.

ARRIVAL MUSIC
Set a "lobby" playlist for warm-up, controllable right from your watch.

SHARE CLASSES
Publish a class to your profile so friends can find and copy it. Unpublish anytime.

Requires an Apple Music subscription for in-class music, and Sign in with Apple for sharing. Classes log as a Yoga workout in Apple Health.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.11 — 2026-07-23

This release focuses on making classes and Apple Watch sessions more dependable:

• Classes now keep running past the planned final block until you explicitly tap End, with an overtime clock showing how far past the plan you are.
• Apple Watch class sync now recovers after long idle periods and clearly explains when it needs the iPhone instead of showing sample classes or starting a phantom session.
• Fixed an orphaned workout-session bug that could make Sutra repeatedly reopen or vibrate on Apple Watch after a class.
• The Watch Health prompt now asks only to save a yoga workout, without requesting unused heart-rate or energy access.
• Improved AirPlay and cold-start music reliability, with clearer route labels and warnings when a playlist is shorter than the class.
• Publishing, Discover saves, editor suggestions, and playback artwork are more reliable and efficient.
• Added automatic post-class diagnostics so intermittent Watch, music, and connectivity problems can be investigated without interrupting class.

### 1.10 — 2026-07-09

This release is about honesty and reliability when things don't go perfectly:

• When something can't load or save — publishing a class, searching, opening someone's classes, sending feedback — Sutra now tells you clearly and offers a retry, instead of failing quietly or spinning forever.
• If your class music can't start, the player now shows a one-tap "tap to retry" instead of running a silent class.
• Bug reports you send by shaking your phone can no longer vanish silently — if something goes wrong, you'll know and can try again.
• Discover offers to connect Apple Music if it isn't already, curated playlists show newest first, and turning on Music access is one tap away when it's off.
• Signing in shows a progress spinner, and the updated-terms screen now has a Sign Out option.
• Deleting a block asks first (it takes its poses with it), and a few screens that could get stuck now always give you a way forward.
• Dozens of smaller reliability and polish fixes under the hood.

### 1.9 — 2026-07-06

A big reliability + quality-of-life release, tuned from real classes:

• Starting a class now reliably plays your playlist from the first song — even with your iPhone locked. If music can't start, your watch offers a one-tap retry.
• Music keeps playing when the class clock runs out — wind it down on your own terms.
• Pose skips and pause stay perfectly in sync between iPhone and Apple Watch, and the watch no longer freezes on an old song mid-class.
• Building classes is much faster: new classes and blocks open ready to name with one-tap suggestions, and every list (classes, blocks, poses) can be reordered and edited the same way — including your class order on the watch.
• The lobby playlist now lives right on the Classes screen — set it, change it, and route audio to your studio speakers from one bar.
• A full Yoga Sculpt template comes pre-loaded, the playlist chooser has search, and class edits save instantly when you lock your phone.
• Dozens of smaller fixes and safety improvements under the hood.

### 1.8 — 2026-07-02

On Apple Watch, you can now move between poses during a class — tap the arrows on either side of the pose name to jump to the previous or next part of your practice. The running-class screen also got a cleaner, easier-to-read layout.

### 1.7 — 2026-06-30

• Your classes and Lobby playlist now reliably back up to your account, so they come back when you reinstall or move to a new phone.
• Clearer labeling when a saved playlist isn't available on this device.
