However, when used offline it will occasionally display an unable to verify licence error message which renders the player unusable until internet is restored which is unacceptable. Additionally, a connect to jellyfin option would be nice Also, an option to reorder the bottom navigation bar and an option to move Svpcast to the video settings menu would be nice. ### 2/5 — One major flaw short of perfection *2026-01-27, version 1.7.0* While SVPlayer for iOS carries over many of the same features from SVP4Mac, it’s held back by an app-breaking flaw: Every time I skip to the next video in my carefully curated “Own” folder, a big blue infinite loading overlay obstructs my view of my video (which is otherwise playing back perfectly as I’d like). Clearly this is a bug, but it’s a frustrating bug nonetheless—and the only workaround I’ve found thus far is to close the app and re-open it every time I want to switch to a different video—and doing that defeats the whole point of the skip button. I’m happy to come back and update my review to 5 stars if/when this is resolved. As of this writing, however, the infinite load overlay that occurs every time on skip ruins my experience with SVPlayer to the extent that I regret paying money for it in the first place. ### 4/5 — Please allow saving frame rate converted videos *2025-06-11, version 1.6.0* Would be great if you could save videos ### 3/5 — Lag *2024-12-27* It lags sometimes ### 4/5 — Very good except *2024-12-25, version 1.5.1* Overall the app does exactly what it says and has no ads from what I’ve seen so it’s amazing, the only issue though is that the UI is just too annoying and crowded and sometimes it doesn’t go away when tapping, I put 4 stars because of this but the app is very good. ### 3/5 — Odd *2024-12-23, version 1.5.1* Works really well when it does, other times the frame rate feature doesn’t do anything and remains white ### 2/5 — 2 stars for timebomb. *2024-10-10, version 1.4.2* App is awesome but too frequently need an update without any minor QoL improvements. So 2 stars for timebomb which placed in this app, now actual payers get worse experience then users with sideloaded app. Apple should start banning developers who used this shaddy practices in payable apps. ### 4/5 — Algorithm needs improvements because of artifacts can you improve the algorithm *2024-05-09* I rate the algorithm like 7/10 smoothness is excellent but it very artifacty I’m wondering if you’re going to improve it by making a more demanding shader i have an idea why not make a new shader name it 25 and give it a price of 0.99 dollars and there is a big problem first of all in the android version it crashes when trying to interpolate a 5fps video to 90fps but it doesn’t in 60fps it probably the same in ios I didn’t tried it in ios and also another problem is the fact that it doesn’t replace duplicate frames so please add an option to replace them like topaz video ai has and also there is another problem because of slow performance add an option to export videos like videoproc has and also you can configure the options of the algorithm like shaders when you want to export it **Developer response:** "so i can paste a youtube video url and play it in svplayer" - Apple won't allow this in AppStore. ### 5/5 — Great player *2024-04-10* I love the graphic equalizers to bad there is not a audio eq with a preamp. We know iphone headphone and apeaker audio. Я не использую свп фильтры для «бутса фпс» Однако, когда я БЕЗ сети, не смотря на это, приложение не разрешает смотреть видео, пока «не убедится в лицензии» Это очень раздражает. Так как постоянно ПЕРЕОДИЧЕСКИ, просит проверить лицензию? А в целом, хорошее приложение. Мне оч не хватает мпв на иос. влс - очень плох.. Исправь они эту проблему с проверкой лицензии - станет на порядок лучше!!! ### 1/5 — Не работает *2025-11-10* Не открывает большинство hls стримов и другие онлайн видео, стандартный плеер и vlc без проблем играют. Пробывал крутить настройки, это не помогло. Открывает стабильно, только уже скаченные файлы. Настройки менял, думал что связано как то с cookies. Ничего не помогло, обратной связи в приложении 0, на сайте тоже.(точнее некуда писать). **Developer response:** В описании в AppStore указан email, на сайте указан email, в самом приложении есть кнопка "сообщить об ошибке" - но "писать некуда". Интерфейса ноль, функционала ноль. Хваленая уплавнялка работает отвратительно - перегревает абсолютно все генерации Apple TV 4K. Черные полосы то сверху то снизу подсвечивает линию, кошмар! Что за ерунда то?? Подумайте народ головой, надо ли оно вам ? Этот недоплеер может убить вашу приставку. А все что предлагают: уплавнялку. Уплавнялку, которая и так есть во всех ваших ТВ и современных проекторах. Пишут: это легендарное приложение, 15 лет работы над ним… Позор! "перегревает абсолютно все генерации Apple TV 4K" - это к Куку, почему его последнее поделие перегревает абсолютно любая нагрузка. It’s completely unusable for me. A real shame as the PC version works amazingly (though I wish you could specify an exact FPS target instead of multipliers). Update 2026-04-07: they’ve updated it to make it worse. Can only browse entire movie library, can’t search. ABSOLUTE. I have used this software in the past and its honestly a treat to have, makes any film look great, even on bad displays. Works very good on iPad mini 6, thank you for porting this over.
