※ AAC란? AAC 란 보완대체의사소통(Augmentative and Alternative Communication)을 뜻하는 말입니다. 말과 언어 표현 및 이해에 크고 작은 장애를 보이는 사람들에게 의사소통을 할 수 있는 기회를 주고 의사소통 능력을 향상시키도록 말을 보완하거나(augment) 대체적인(alternative) 방법을 사용하는 것을 말합니다.

복합적 의사소통 요구를 가진 성인이나 AAC를 통해 의사소통을 하는 일반인을 대상으로 하며, 사용자의 일상생활의 장소(학교, 집, 병원, 지역사회 등)와 위계적 범주(음식, 동물, 숫자, 시간, 모양 등)로 분류하여 1000여 개의 상징으로 구성된 버전

1) 의사소통판으로 말하기
추천의사소통판 또는 사용자가 만든 맞춤형 의사소통판으로 의사표현을 할 수 있는 기능
(4x4 사이즈의 추천 의사소통판 기본 제공/2x2,3x3,4x4 의사소통판 사용 가능)
2) 클라우드에서 불러오기/저장
PC·모바일에서 만들어 클라우드에 저장한 의사소통판을 불러오거나 저장하는 기능
3) 상징으로 말하기(Symbol)
국내 AAC어휘 연구 참고, 일반인들이 자주 사용하는 핵심어휘 및 장애특성을 고려한 부수어휘 950여 개의 상징으로 의사소통하는 기능. 상징(메시지 예측) 기능 지원
4) 문자로 말하기(TTS)
상징 선택만으로 표현하기 어려운 긴 메시지 등을 문자로 입력해 필요 시 TTS로 불러오는(말하는) 기능
5) 이야기 만들기
관심 사항이나 하고 싶은 이야기를 표현할 수 있도록 시간 흐름이 있는 이야기를 제작해 전달하는 기능

I’m a US SLP.  I like how this app is designed, and it is very nice that it is offered for free. Unfortunately, the text to speech doesn’t work on my iPhone. My Korean speaking friend couldn’t get it to talk on her iPhone either. I’ve seen this app work on YouTube, and I would love it as an option for Korean speaking families I meet.
