However one day i was contacted by one of the municipal corporation officer who asked me my name address and other details politely. And then gave it to the corporator whose area was receiving complaints then few hours later i was contacted by the corporator to not post any complaints online. And contact me directly so that the issue can be resolved. I did tried that as well. However that was just their way of making a person silent and not do anything. Overall this is a great application but needs to remove or keep the complainants demographic or personal details more discreet. Ultimately i have stopped posting more complaint. ### 3/5 — Can’t Upload photo anymore *2025-11-19, version 3.6.39* The option to upload a photo has also been removed which makes it more difficult to file a complaint. Now it requires the complainant to stay in the area, login to the app and take a photo adding friction to the process. Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue regarding the handling of complaints on the Swachhata App in our area. It has been observed that whenever a complaint is lodged through the app, the designated supervisor, Ms. Anju Thakur in Jabalpur, marks the complaint as “resolved” without actually taking any action on the ground. No sanitation worker is sent to clean the area, and instead, a blank or black image is uploaded as proof of resolution. This practice is highly irresponsible and defeats the purpose of the Swachhata initiative. It not only misleads the concerned authorities but also leaves public places in an unhygienic condition, causing inconvenience to the residents. I kindly request you to look into this matter urgently and take strict action against such negligent behavior. Genuine efforts must be ensured in response to complaints raised by citizens, and proper verification should be done before marking them as resolved. Thank you for your attention. ### 1/5 — Swachchta app is just a way of BJP, JDU government to fool the people of Bihar *2025-05-21, version 3.6.28* No action has been taken against massive garbage dump complaint , no response from Swachhata app controlling team for 2 weeks, government seems to be money minded, not wanting to serve the people, just loot taxes and enjoy free luxuries on public’s laboriously earned money. In return, government gifts citizens with mosquito borne diseases, air pollution and soil pollution, as they don’t take any action against these, means the corrupt government is promoting these issues to the denizens of entire Bihar. ### 1/5 — Don’t download *2025-04-18* It’s worst app I have put 3 complain since last 1 month nothing has been resolved it’s fooling thing ### 1/5 — Does not work *2025-01-16* I posted a complaint a week ago and on the very next day of my complaint the status changed to “On the Job”, but the complaint is still note yet resolved. I couldn’t upload multiple images in one go, that’s irritating as you have to upload them one by one, especially in comments and also while posting a complaint, only one image can be uploaded. 2. Location search module doesn’t work. One has to use current location on map as reference and then move the location pin on map. I’ve talked to the MCG and asked them about the situations. Believe me, even the customer care executives are frustated as they and sweepers are not getting paid for couple of months. Whole the MCG is corrupted. In case if you are facing sanitation issues Kindly visit the MCG site or call the MCG helpline and ask for your zone’s Sanitary inspector’s contact number and direct report to him. If the inspector doesn’t respond well then you must maid to the IAS ### 2/5 — Bug in login and sign up *2024-03-29, version 3.6.12* The login process is not working. It shows error saying “something went wrong” when anybody tries to login again to the app. For existing user, it sends OTP but never goes to second screen to accept OTP and shows the above mentioned error. For new user, it do show the second screen to enter OTP, however OTP never comes to your mobile number. I tried with 3 different numbers, but in vain. ### 1/5 — Garbage application to get the garbage cleared *2024-03-27, version 3.6.12* Whoever built this app and managing it should handover the app development to college kids, they would do a better job than this. If you cant even signup on the app how would anyone even want to use it for getting the garbage cleared from their locality. ### 1/5 — Info. Not adequate *2023-07-03, version 3.6.11* I give it a poor rating as i tried it for more than 15 times, but yet my complaint was not lodging coz of some error. The complaint could only be filed when photo not uploaded. Also they should provide some active helpline number just as like MSEB has , where they accept complaints and or also help in any quick emergency or next day resolving of issue. Such system could be 100 times more helpfull for public. Lot more to do for village swachhata ki lea ### 1/5 — Useless Application *2026-06-25, version 3.6.47* No action has been taken on the complaint so far, and I cannot see any progress or updates on its status. It would be better if there were an option to visit the office and file the complaint physically. ### 1/5 — Waste of time and effort *2026-02-03, version 3.6.41* I had reported a complaint requesting for clearance for solid waste (construction materials from road repair), soon with 1 hr of reporting the complaint I received a acknowledgement saying “On the job” which made me feel very positive impression about the app however it seems it was to soon. Its over three weeks now nothing has been done yet, not even any visits has been made by any officials. Works only with current location. I was initially pleased when I received a notification suggesting that action was being taken, but I have now realized that it’s likely an automated message triggered after raising a complaint — sent with a delay to create the illusion of progress. Over a month has passed, and absolutely no action has been taken. There appears to be no escalation matrix or direct channel to reach higher authorities when an issue remains unresolved. Even basic civic concerns — such as sewage water overflow damaging the roads — are being ignored. In one case, a complaint was prematurely marked as “resolved” with an unrelated photo uploaded from a completely different location. This system, instead of empowering citizens, ends up misleading those who genuinely care about the city and take the effort to report problems. Complaints remain open for months without resolution, or are marked “resolved” falsely with no real action. When there’s no accountability or follow-up on complaints — especially against cleaning authorities — it defeats the entire purpose of this app. Many citizens don’t even bother to complain, and if the few responsible ones who do start losing faith, then this initiative will fail. Please take this matter seriously — both the people and the government need to work together to truly make India clean and improve civic sense. Don’t just show that you care — prove it through action. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — One Month, Still No Action Taken *2025-04-18, version 3.6.25* What is the use of this application if no one is addressing the complaints? I raised a complaint a month ago, but there has been no response or action taken so far. ### 5/5 — Much improved resolution *2025-01-06* The workers/engineers now post the before and after resolution pictures to mark the job done and I think this will make the city smarter, cleaner and greener. Thanks to the initiative and workers who now promptly provide solution. I am impressed by the recent garbage dump complain which was taken care off within 5 hours. App’s UI has also improved and is now even easier for senior citizens like my parents to lodge complains. 5 stars. ### 5/5 — Complaining for sewerage/ garbage *2024-07-02, version 3.6.18* I have been complaining I put on all the details but not seen any of my complaint logged in. Not sure how it will work but my feedback it just for the sake of making it nothing fruitfull. Can someone please address the complaint? The workers demand money to clean up the roads...if we try to put the leaves and other stuff in bins provided by the corporation at road ends, a guy keeps fighting saying he has to pay people to come and clean up the bin. End result... Cannot put garbage in bin... cannot leave it out on the road(conscience doesn’t allow it)... seems to me that this rejection of complaints on a legitimate app happens so that workers can demand cash to remove garbage and debris from the road and citizens will be forced to pay them just to get the job done! It picks up the nearest Google maps location but not the exact location. It should pick up the coordinates so that authorities can reach exact spot Many times complaints are closed without proper resolution but in iOS app the re-open options are not working. I have uploaded a complaint 4 times and still nothing has been done and every time it gets marked as Resolved on this App. Therefore, there should be some audit and accountability of the person marking the complaints as Resolved on this App and the person should be held accountable if found to be wrongfully marking complains as Resolved. ### 5/5 — Garbage dump issue resolved in a week *2019-02-02, version 3.5.6* I had posted an complaint. The response was in a week. The work was Excellent.. Thank you so much. Also I could see preventive measures are now taken that the garbage dump doesn’t happen.
