I would have bid, but I requested a tax exempt form 3 days before the auction and never received one. Unable to find one on the website. I guess they have plenty of bidders without my money. It isn’t doing the consigner any favors though.

I have participated in Swann Galleries’ auctions for several years. During that time I have frequently utilized their website and the newer application (app). Surprisingly the two sites display an asymmetry that creates needless frustration and inefficiency. 

I want to bid during a real-time auction? I go to the app. I want to view the scheduled auctions for the next 6 months? I go to the website. I want to see my successful bids during the past years? I go to the website. 
I want to see current bids? I must remember if I placed them on the website or app...since there is no sharing of bid information between the two sites. 

Will any of this dissuade me from bidding at Swann? Probably not. However I frequently recommend Swann Auctions to younger friends and colleagues who purchase fine art. When they encounter the frustration of the website/app asymmetry they immediately abandon Swann and move on to more client friendly platforms.

Thought I had bid through the app on a live auction successfully; only to find out later it was never even acknowledged/recognized! SHAME!

Swann has always been a reliable and top source for secondary market works. They vet and clear works  thoroughly and I am always confident that they have done their job, so, as a dealer /consultant,  I can do mine. Works have always arrived as reported and as promised. Top notch organization.
