We use to have slow home internet making the play back feature useless. We updated our home internet so when home we could use the app. But still can’t play back anything when out and about on my phone. Absolutely terrible. Can’t chose what part of the image you want to detect movement so every car driving past gives a movement notification meaning when someone comes up the driveway it’s missed in the long list of other movement notifications. I shouldn’t have to move the camera, I should be able to highlight the driveway area of the image to only make notifications. I upgraded my whole setup two years ago only problem is that the company has said the new system I bought is end of life and is suddenly obsolete! And suddenly all Australian retailers and Swann Australia have no cameras , But the cameras and the system 8580RN and all the cameras are still available and for sale in America I needed some replacement cameras but they are Double the price for Australian buyers, Like I said great system and cameras, I’m just very disappointed with the lack of availability of replacement cameras at the normal price and I am sure they have a database of what systems we have and we pay every month So they have my email so they could have waned us the supply will stop suddenly for Australian customers ### 3/5 — Swane review *2026-08-25, version 5.13.2* Swane front door camera is good however for some reason I don’t seem to be able to hear it very well when I speak to a visitor through it, it’s very quiet on the outside part they struggle to hear me ### 2/5 — Unreliable *2026-08-25, version 5.13.2* I have a 4K camera that goes off when a cat crosses driveway 100 metres away but fails to detect a vehicle coming up drive and filling image. I also have a 2K camera that goes of when Sun emerges from clouds and changes lighting conditions. I have tried all setting combinations to no avail. Its horrible, slow and useless. Always showing you the loading screen. Cant playback clips cause its always loading. Takes ages to download clips when it finally works. It’s never been a problem before. ### 1/5 — Audi currently playing is muted whenever Swann app is launched *2026-08-15, version 5.13.2* Audio Hijacking on iOS Issue: The Swann Security app aggressively triggers a system-level hardware AVAudioSession override and Bluetooth profile switch (from A2DP to HFP/SCO) the moment a live camera stream initializes.Impact: This instantly mutes or pauses all background media applications (like Spotify/Apple Music) playing over Bluetooth speakers and headphones. The audio remains muted even if the live camera stream is manually muted within the app, and revoking Bluetooth/Microphone privacy permissions does not stop the system override. Requested Fix: Please update the app's audio category scripting so it defaults to a non-mixable, passive ambient video stream unless the user explicitly taps the "Two-Way Talk" microphone button. ### 1/5 — Not good *2026-08-14, version 5.13.2* The app really does a suck. At first I would check this app for everything cause it worked flawlessly, way better then my wireless cameras(I have hard wired). It used to load up real fast but now it doesnt reload. It just says buffering. Not reliable at all. Plus too many notifications even if you lower the sensitivity or block out any parts that are always moving and don’t want to be notified about.
