### 2/5 — Minimal functionality

*2026-08-07*

The app provides a list of things to do with times and an overall schedule, but, beyond that, the app is severely lacking. The attendees list would be more functional as a basic spreadsheet, the messaging is less advanced than email and updates are not effectively communicated to attendees. The video and file sharing systems work, but are very data intensive for mobile devices. Overall, it’s a basic app with very basic functions.

### 4/5 — Great conference app with small wrinkles

*2026-06-01*

I’ve used the app for multiple conferences and it has been really useful and mostly easy to use. Finding and contacting interesting people, scheduling meetings and events, getting reminded of upcoming ones and finding your way around the venue all works great!

However, there are a few significant obstacles left that prevent the app from being a perfectly seamless and helpful experience.

The first is that when scheduling a meeting with someone, you can’t see your current booking schedule side-by-side. Thus, you always have to navigate around in the app multiple times between your schedule and the person’s free time slots to find a fitting meeting time. Helpful would be an indicator where you both have time and where not. Even more ideally would be a vertical time axis where your booked slots are grey blocks. Viewing your timeline side by side with the timeline of whom you’re meeting would be an awesome intuitive way to schedule meeting times. :)

The second obstacle is that when booking a meeting with someone, the invite message doesn’t show in your Messages tab. Trying to find it when say reviewing what you wanted to ask the person just before a meeting requires navigating to notifications, finding the invite or meeting-accepted notification, then navigating further towards the invite messages itself. Only if the other person responds to your invite message, does it appear under Messages. It’d be much more convenient. If invite messages directly appeared in the messages list. That’s anyway the place where I keep track of all my contacts and what interactions we had. Invite messages and chat messages don’t need to be a separate thing.

The third obstacle relates to the first one:
The issue is that when looking at the conference Agenda or My Schedule, the view is only a list of blocks with timestamps.
For planning a conference day, a visual timeline (where you can directly see how large the space is are between events) gives a lot quicker and more convenient overview of the day. It helps you better plan when you e.g. should keep timeslots free for a break, and makes it much easier to see where you still have time to for more meetings, where gaps between events can be filled and so and. Also, when dealing with multiple events of different time lengths, such a timeline makes all that info much easier to digestible and actionable, Helping you plan your conference day faster and better.
Previously, I had to manually copy events to my calendar to see that convenient over. Nowadays, it's possible to export already scheduled events to your calendar. Though it would still be more convenient to not have to switch apps all the time and also to see unscheduled events in that timeline view.

The fourth obstacle is small but often noticeable: In Messages and Notifications tabs, the view only refreshes upon a manual pulling gesture. It can sometimes lead to small irritations with inconsistent displays, or missing a notification/message for a while due to the view not auto refreshing like normal chat apps do. If auto-refreshing isn’t a burdensome aspect to implement, then that little detail would already contribute quite a bit to this app feeling more smooth and seamless.

The fifth obstacle and final obstacle is that the meeting locations aren’t connected to the venue map. When booking a meeting or walking towards it, you can’t click on the location and get a view of the venue map to see where it is and where you need to go. You can still move back and forth to the venue map and memorize locations but that’s still a point of friction.

I hope this detailed feedback from a long time user of your app is helpful to making it even better. Conferences are often hectic and high-value events, where an app's seamlessness and ease of use directly contributes to how much value the all the attendees get out of it.
Keep up your good work and I'm looking forward to an even more seamless conference experience next year! :)
Overall, I'm very thankful for this app's existence. It has enabled so much over the past years.

### 4/5 — Functional

*2026-02-12*

Easy to use and simple

### 3/5 — Messages Aren’t Syncing with Desktop App

*2026-01-07*

Would give a higher rating if the phone app synced with the desktop app

### 1/5 — Need to do better on information updates

*2025-06-07*

I got notification for new connection request, but when I open the app it’s not there, it showed up few days after, after the event I got notification for the photos are ready to view, again when I went into the app , it’s not there!
Another problem is you can’t zoom in, a lot of people in my age need reading glasses, but if you can just use your fingers zoom in the page will be a lot easier to see the agenda and know where to go next.

### 1/5 — Not Easy to Find Events

*2025-06-02, version 4.57.10*

Where’s the search function? Why can’t I find the event I’m at right now? Not user friendly at all

### 3/5 — Not saving my profile

*2025-04-26*

It keeps asking me to complete my profile

### 1/5 — Scanned all those prospects for nothing

*2025-04-10, version 4.56.3*

Where are all the people I scanned? They are not in the App. There is no icon indicating where to view prospects I Scanned with this App. Disappointed

### 3/5 — Needs work

*2025-03-14*

Good app, needs to remember your position when you click back when scrolling, very annoying when going through a big list.

### 4/5 — Fine but annoying I can’t change my profile on mobile

Title says all

*2025-02-19*

Can’t remove my phone number. Error message keeps showing up

### 2/5 — Glitchy app

*2025-01-27, version 4.54.8*

Having trouble using the Qualify feature. The Tags field is not working and will not save any entries.

### 1/5 — Poor group chat function

*2024-12-17*

Poor group chat functionality

### 3/5 — Not intuitive! But good looking!

*2024-11-12*

I couldn’t find my way to where I wanted to be as easily as I would have preferred.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-11-08*

Needs serious reviewing, unable to access event live. Setup everything ok the day before but now nothing only archived events.

### 3/5 — Ok for contacts but not great overall

*2024-10-27*

Not intuitive. For conferences, being able to develop a personal calendar with meetings, times, and locations is essential. This tool fails in that regard. It may have that capability but I couldn’t easily figure it out.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thank you so much for your review. On the main page of the event you should see a button called “My Event”, there you have all the meetings, bookmarked sessions, and connections made. We're sorry for the experience you had and don't hesitate to contact us at ios@swapcard.com if you have any other questions or inquiries, we'll be happy to assist!

### 1/5 — Create 2026

*2026-05-16*

Not a great app. either they have Swapcard or the create 2026 change their format. It is extremely difficult to get this on my iPad and my iPhone in full screen. This is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never had this problem with other create events that I have done I don’t know what changed and it’s extremely frustrating.. I did follow the steps from both companies and still I can’t get this on Chrome ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Scanned all those prospects for nothing

*2026-04-29*

No support from SIAL to get this solved

### 1/5 — Issue with people not knowing that when you scanned the badge you are not really connected a

*2026-04-03*

There is a real issue with the app in that people think they are using it to connect by scanning each others QR code but then they are not really connected… then one of them has to send a message to the other and the other has to accept …. But most people don’t know that ….. then when they don’t go in a click accept yet, you block the sender from sending any more messages to the person they are trying to connect with ….. like sending a message like “ thanks for the meeting but ii need you to click accept for me to have your email address so I can follow up on what we spoke about …… 3/4 of the people I had meeting with and who asked me to follow up and scanned our badges , never went back to the scan card app to read my message and/or accept the connection because they didn’t know they had to … they just assumed we had contacted and I would follow up with their email … but their email is not available just because you scanned the badge …. I had to track down their email through the internet or LinkedIn or otherwise ….. when they found out that just by scanning g we weren’t connected and had to go back to the app to accept someone they were surprised and asked “what good it that ?” “ if you scanned the badge you should be connected with email ; who goes back and looks???”

### 1/5 — Signed in but event wouldn’t load

*2026-01-28*

Gets stuck on loading screen for the event after logging in. Multiple logouts and logins didn’t resolve the issue

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Location -

*2026-02-14*

Great. I just had an issue with delay of messages going through and a link to an external location which led to a different title than what was listed.

### 5/5 — Needs bigger screen options

*2025-11-26*

Need to have the option to make it full screen

### 5/5 — Top notch

*2025-08-13*

I’ve never been to a conference like Scifam. Having this app made it so easy to choose which panels to attend, to keep track of what my daughter was up with the kids camp, but most importantly for the connections. Having a child with a rare disease is hard. Being able to make new friends in the community is a gift that is so valuable. I loved the photo feature as well.
Well done

### 5/5 — Swapcard

*2024-10-18, version 4.52.1*

Great app to keep you updated!

### 5/5 — Loving the App

Great app! Thanks for the notifications through out the conference

### 5/5 — Swapcard success as communication tool

*2024-01-13, version 4.40.20*

This is really handy to be able to scan the QR code on each other’s badges and have the contact right in our phones. I really appreciate how efficient and easy it is to keep note of who we meet!

### 5/5 — Works well

*2023-12-05, version 4.40.11*

Does a good job with connecting all information and people into one source.

### 5/5 — So easy to use!

*2023-10-17*

This exhibition app does the business and is so easy to use to set up meetings, find your way around and see what’s in during a busy exhibition.
I’ve used it in conferences as well and it really is adaptable and the go to digital tool to get the maximum benefit from a busy day out.

### 5/5 — Best Networking App for Events

Swapcard is a great app for networking at conferences and events. Big fan!

### 5/5 — Great platform
