## What is Swapétit?

Swapétit is the kitchen sidekick for the moment a recipe goes sideways.

Type or say the ingredient and get vetted substitutions with exact ratios, scaled to the amount your recipe calls for — plus an honest "watch out" list for texture, rise, browning, and flavor. Baking mode is stricter, because baking is chemistry. The substitution library works fully offline.

KITCHEN CONVERTER, ALWAYS FREE
Cups to grams (per ingredient — a cup of flour is not a cup of sugar), fluid ounces to milliliters, °F to °C to gas mark, and serving scaling. Instant, offline, no math.

A cooking Q&A that answers by keyboard, voice, or photo — snap your pantry and ask what to cook. Answers can be read aloud in a natural voice while your hands are covered in dough. Choose on-device AI (private, offline, free) or Swapétit Cloud.

Name what you're making and get concrete upgrades: seasoning balance, one technique step-up, texture, garnish — with a kids-friendly angle when you want it.

NOVELTY CHEF
Invents brand-new recipes from the ingredients you have — vegan, vegetarian, or meat, across world cuisines from Korean to Mediterranean to African. Every invention comes with a taste-confidence and health score, honestly presented as science-grounded estimates, plus the "why it works" flavor reasoning.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. The converter and substitution library never touch the network. On-device AI runs entirely on your iPhone. Cloud questions are answered with zero data retention — never stored, never used for training.
