I expected this to save me time but I now have to scan and file appropriately… just like when I used the free scanners. I am also disappointed with the generate names feature, it pulls very little from the scan and I always have to add to the file name. I wish the description of the functionality had been more clear. ### 4/5 — Ein Pfundsprojekt *2026-03-16* Hallo, ich benutze diesen Scanner seit langem und bin sehr zufrieden damit. Die Scans sind schnell gemacht und lassen sich problemlos bearbeiten und an ein vorgegebenes Ziel versenden. Was mir an der aktuellen Version fehlt ist eine automatische Umwandlung des Dokuments nach dem Scanvorgang in das DIN-Format. I am trying to use a direct username/password for Evernote (NOT Google login) but get an error message from Google: This request does not comply with Google’s ”Use secure browsers” policy. ### 2/5 — AI privacy and scanning bugs *2025-02-16, version 9.6.70* The competition has caught up to my go to app delivering similar and often better results at auto adjusting text to not be slanted and fix brightness and contrast of text. Instead they're adding AI which comes with serious security and privacy implications that the company does not disclose and now I worry if my sensitive documents are being shared all over the Internet without my knowledge of who gets to look at them ### 3/5 — Can’t log into cloud services *2025-02-04, version 9.6.68* I just spent a frustrating 20 minutes, trying to log into Evernote from your app. I’m not sure what you did, but your browser disable the use of password managers, makes it almost impossible to paste passwords in and breaks Google‘s authentication so I can’t login with Google. Some browser security requirement you don’t meet. Soweit funktioniert alles zuverlässig aber irgendwie wünscht man sich doch etwas mehr. Würde SwiftScan immer wieder nutzen da man hier nicht ständig bezahlen muss. Sollte aber irgendwann mal alles gegen Dauerbezahlung angeboten werden würde ich mich auch von dieser App trennen! ### 3/5 — More bugs *2024-05-13, version 9.6.41* Worked well for a long time. Any time I try to a scan, the app closes. I use it frequently and have always loved the app, but it’s two stars for me until you fix this bug. Meanwhile I will try out other apps. Thank God it’s saved in my iCloud account. It is now complete utter rubbish. Be warned. My current phone is iPhone 15 Pro Max. The app does not crop automatically. Recent update improves slightly but still, does not focus well. Also, the order of documents when transferred from other app will be randomly re-arranged. Even if you were to spend time trying to re-order the pages of the document manually, you will be even more frustrated!… the pages continuously move randomly as you are trying to reassign the correct order! I have contacted the “support” several times over the past three months but receives absolutely no help. The app is still as dysfunctional! Before entering the skin, you can see the number of files saved inside it, but when entering the folder, I do not find the files. ### 1/5 — All Scanbot files disappeared *2022-11-12, version 9.6.21* Where are all my Scanbot files?! ### 1/5 — Support auf Umwegen und ständig Bugs *2022-03-29, version 9.4.3* Leider nicht so toll! Die App war früher super! Deswegen habe ich sie auch gekauft. Inzwischen ist dieser Fehler behaftet. Wenn man beispielsweise das Design ändert, also die Farbe wechselt, werden alle Dokumente gelöscht. Die scheinen irgendwo noch zu existieren, dennoch ist die App anscheinend überschrieben. Der Support ist nicht einfach anzuschreiben, sondern es muss erst in den Systemeinstellungen Einstellung vorgenommen werden und eine extra Messenger App installiert werden. Welch ein Umweg! Wie kompliziert! Wenn man Hilfe einfordert, weil etwas so richtig daneben gegangen ist, wenn man natürlich noch um glaublich viel Zeit damit verbringen den Support zu kontaktieren. Ich hoffe sehr dass sich das Feedback zu Herzen genommen wird und einige Änderungen in Kraft treten. Wenn man für eine App bezahlt hat dann hofft man das sehr. ### 1/5 — Critical Bug on Key Feature - Auto Scanning *2021-12-07, version 9.4.3* When using auto scanning, it asks you to move closer to the item, bringing the item out of focus on newer iPhones, making this feature not usable. Nach Verkauf um Umbenennung zu SwiftScan kamen die Tracker, dennoch war die App immer noch extrem gut. Mittlerweile wird aber scheinbar nur noch die Variante mit Abo-Modell aktualisiert und in der Pro-Version ist seit über einem Jahr nichts mehr passiert… Auf Nachfrage beim Support habe ich einen Code für die Freischaltung erhalten, sodass ich den Umstieg mal testen werde, was sich das letzte Jahr so getan hat. Für mich unverzichtbar sind einfach die individuellen Dateinamen, denn das bekommt Scanner Pro von Readdle nicht so gut hin. **Developer response:** Thanks for being a longtime user and for sharing your detailed feedback.
