It turned out this might be the most well thought out stopwatch I have used. The meet I was at also happened to have a glitch with their timing system so the scoreboard wasn't working. I had no trouble whatsoever getting splits on three swimmers in the 500 in the same heat. Absolutely brilliant app. I plan to recommend it on my blog. The test run went great! but I found that I was having to write down the splits again anyway because I couldn't save them anywhere. Would like to have an option that allows me to save the splits to a folder and/or email the results to myself... I am trying to save the info to be able to email but when you stop click and leave screen everything disappears? It has the makings of a great tool when doing test sets especially when coaching on your own with multiple kids. ### 3/5 — So much potential! *2020-10-03* This is set up to be the perfect app with just a few fixes. The stopwatch carryovers are buggy as heck and sometimes the clock is running but the stop / clear button doesn’t change resulting in Random Timing Events (RTE). There needs to be quicker access to the events list without having to click twice to get in and out. When kids come to me after their event, I need to be able to quickly look back at their splits and get the times of the current swimmers. We need to be able to clear the swimmer names and times separately if an RTE happens. We need to be able to set up heat pages within the event to snap between lane set ups. ### 4/5 — Great App! *2023-07-05* As a high school coach, this app is great. I can run my system6 and actually coach at the same time. The kids can use it and help me out as well. It makes doing math so simple / because it does it for you. There are occasional bugs and I can’t quite figure out how to pre-log and save events - but it’s way better than using 3 stopwatches at the same time. ### 4/5 — helpful for a coach *2015-04-24* This is a great app when timing multiple swimmers in a heat. It calculates the splits well and with the paid version, I can pre-enter all my swimmers and their events ahead of time - I LOVE THAT. And after a meet, I can email the results to my acct - brilliant idea. One thing I don't like is that every time I open the app or switch events the timer is still going. Why doesn't it stop? I have pressed stop at the end of the race and I get the end time of my swimmers races fine; however, the timer just keeps going. So prior to every race I have to reset it, this sometimes fouls me up with timing a race. This app has saved me as a coach! Thanks. ### 4/5 — Great app! *2014-02-24* This is a very useful app! I use it during practice to help take splits for time trials for my athletes. My only suggestion would be that it needs to have a feature where you can either save all the splits for a particular race to go back and review, or to add a feature where you can email all the splits for a race to the athletes. If those features were available, I would definitely be using this app exclusively at meets and practice. ### 4/5 — Very close to ideal *2013-04-01, version 1.0* Lots of potential here for the perfect stop watch for sports. Great first version, just needs a few minor additions. As is, it is better then any of the other stop watches I've paid or on the App Store. I love this app!! *2020-10-30* I have loved this app at my fingertips as a coach for the past 4 years!!! The only thing I’d improve is being able to see 4-6 lanes AT ONCE (so make the rows half as wide). I like to duplicate the splits every other wall so that I have both 50’s and 100’s splits. I can get 3 swimmers in a heat but once I have to scroll up and down for 3+ swimmers per heat, it gets muddled (I lose track). It helps give a visual rather than shouting numbers across the pool. It’s so easy to use, I love the big button so I can watch flip turns and finishes without looking at my device. Multiple lanes, events , labeling, and email support makes for the perfect assistant. Never use a stopwatch again! Swimmeetmaker is also game changing. Works great on the iPhone, even better on an iPad. The upgrade is worth every penny. You can put in events, names of swimmers, and email all results out after.
