## What is Swimming in Denmark?

Swimming in Denmark brings together all beaches, bathing spots, piers, diving spots, outdoor pools and Blue Flag locations across the country. Data is fetched from the Danish Nature Agency's open GeoFA database and updated automatically.

FIND YOUR SPOT
The map view shows all swimming spots as tappable pins, opening a detail page with description, responsible organisation and contact information. The list view is searchable and sorted by distance from your current location. Filter by type to find exactly what you are looking for.

LIVE TEMPERATURES
The home screen shows current water and air temperature for your location, fetched directly from the Danish Meteorological Institute's measurement stations. Water temperature comes from oceanographic stations, air temperature from the nearest weather station.

WINTER BATHING
The winter bathing tab collects all winter bathing locations from Friluftsrådet for the 2025/2026 season, including season start dates. Each location can be viewed on a map and opened in Apple Maps with directions.

FAVOURITES AND OFFLINE
Swimming spot data is cached locally after the first load and remains available without an internet connection. Favourites are stored on your device and preserved automatically when data is refreshed.
