Swing Catalyst Cam pairs with the Swing Catalyst desktop software on your Windows PC over Wi-Fi or USB and live-streams the camera feed in real time. Every swing appears on the Swing Catalyst screen the moment it happens, ready for frame-by-frame review, drawing tools, side-by-side comparison, and integration with leading launch monitor brands. Use Swing Catalyst Cam on its own, or as an additional angle alongside your existing Swing Catalyst cameras. Your swing video and ball data live on the same screen.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-26

• Live preview no longer stops. Under heavy recording load the preview could go blank and stay blank for the rest of the session. It now keeps delivering, even while recording at high frame rates.
• Sharper preview, sooner. Preview now reaches full HD on recent iPhones instead of staying soft for the first seconds of every session.
• A warm phone no longer drops recording to a thumbnail. Thermal throttling previously fell back to a very low-resolution format; recording now stays at 1080p (720p at high frame rates) while the phone cools down.
• Clearer resolution labelling in camera settings.

• Records at the full frame rate you select, now up to 240 fps. High-speed captures previously fell short of the selected rate under load.
• Much tighter timing accuracy between the phone and MotionCatalyst, so captures line up precisely on the desktop timeline.
• Sharper live preview that adapts automatically to what your device can sustain, without ever slowing the recording.
• The screen dims while connected to keep the phone cooler and extend recording sessions.
• More reliable captures: the camera recovers automatically from interruptions such as incoming calls, and failed transfers now report clearly instead of hanging.
