The features available in the free version have decreased over that time, but what really bothers me is the sessions that keep going after I’ve ended them. I have a session going on 600+ hours - I can’t see any of my stats from that hit (which was actually probably two hours long), and I can’t delete it because I use the free version and only paid users can access sessions more than a week old. I use my Apple Watch to begin, record, and end my sessions. I had a hitting session this morning, which I finalized on my watch. The watch app told me “nice hit” and showed my fitness stats from the session. Hours later, I opened the app on my iPhone to see the stats from this morning’s hit - it was labeled as still live… 6.5 hours and counting. Seeing the highlights of a game between friends and all the data really was impressive. Here are a few recommendations I’d make as an iOS Software Engineer: - Add a camera toggle button to the Watch app - Default camera setting (based on the preference set using the feature before) - Make data syncing more obvious, it was a bit unclear in the app - Foot fault detection on serve: my friend foot-faulted on almost every serve, so it would be great to be told when this is happening. Letting it auto score a match never ever works. It can also say my serves go over 120mph, lol. Uploading STILL takes forever, and most of the time it takes restarting the app a few times to begin at all. I normally need to wait ~12 hours before a recording is fully uploaded. And it will destroy your battery life so go in at 100% if your phone is to live more than an hour or two. IMO pushing more expensive tiers (aggressively advertised) instead of improving the core functionality is the opposite of you should be doing. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Getting locked out of your account *2026-08-13, version 11.9.63* Once you get locked out of your account it’s utter misery trying to log back in, and you only get like 1 try to log in your account, 2 if you’re lucky and once you make a small mistake this app just punishes you as if you committed 100 felonies all at once and it won’t let you log in regardless if you click the unlock my account button. This may just be a problem for me but it’s absolutely annoying especially since I’ve been charged for a subscription and I can’t even log in to cancel it. ### 1/5 — Not Displaying Stats *2026-08-07, version 11.9.62* This app was working perfectly for me, now no longer displays any stats once saved. It’ll the event, the duration, and nothing more. I’m not sure what went wrong with the update ### 1/5 — Very touchy, hard to know what’s going on *2026-08-07, version 11.9.62* I thought it was recording the whole time because my watch said it was but it only recorded 1 of 3 sets. Need better syncing between watch and phone, hard to know what’s going on with the phone way up there. A simple measure of HR recovery - it then is supposed to connect with other apps but tells them nothing either about HR. I am done testing it out after two sessions though I access to it for another 20 days. I am sure there are better apps ot video devices. ### 1/5 — Took away old feature *2026-07-25, version 11.9.62* I have been using swing vision app on my Apple Watch for almost 5 years and in recent update you took away the capability of analyzing the shots without recording on the app. Hence one star, I have to use my phone to analyze my shots how I hit which i use to do without recording. I pay ~$150/year and have had multiple matches fail to record properly. One session stopped recording after only 2 games while my Apple Watch kept tracking score, meaning the app clearly continued partially running — but the video and analytics were gone. Later sessions stopped recording multiple times during a match, and another failed to detect court lines entirely. I followed all troubleshooting steps, enabled Focus Mode, had no calls or Bluetooth interruptions, submitted diagnostic logs, and provided device details (iPhone 17 Pro + Apple Watch Ultra 2). Support initially responded, then largely stopped following up despite ongoing issues. When it works, it’s fantastic. But for a premium-priced app, reliability matters — especially when you can’t replay a missed match. At this point, I do not recommend the app and will not be renewing my subscription unless reliability and support improve significantly. ### 1/5 — Misleading Ad *2026-05-11, version 11.9.56* Supposed to be new subscriber and get entitled to discounted rate. I’ve been using the app (PRO) for four weeks and really enjoy it; watching my game play is significantily aiding my progress, which is incredibly valueble. My only issue is that I don’t own an Apple Watch (I use an Garmin Watch and don’t plan to switch from Garmin), so I can’t use the app’s remote controle feature. Consequentily, the court framing isn’t always ideal, and I’m unable to use the on-court challenges. I’ve tried using other devices, but since the connection relies on the internet and the recording phone is in battery-saving mode, the connection becomes unstable, making it impossible to use the remote control. It would be great to have a control app that works with Garmin, or a dedicated Bluetooth device from Swing Vision itself to handle the remote control function. ### 5/5 — Works well *2026-06-14, version 11.9.59* Pretty cool product.
