It’s worked wonders in preventing drug addicts from cutting class and reducing hallway traffic in my school. It’s amazing how before this app, each first period teacher had to spend 5 minutes on attendance, but now, I only have to wait half an hour in line, outside my school, in pouring rain, at 6:45 in the morning, to sign into school. It’s amazing how easy it is for students to punch in another student’s ID to count them as in attendance, and now, instead of having to wait for a few seconds behind people in the hallways at the beginning of the day, the entire wing of the school is filled with a line of tired, irritable students that is 1200 people long. In addition, the software is so flexible that if a student is counted late when they’re actually in school, there is no possible way to change their records or avoid getting a detention. In fact, late and absentee rates have skyrocketed because of how few people bother to sign in with the robot. Standing in line is especially efficient when many students have to spend minutes searching through their wallets for their ID cards, or turning on and unlocking their phones and getting out this app, or trying to remember their school ID, when signing into school.
