Its annoying and very time consuming to have to go back and forth and makes some simple switchnprogramming take a whole 5 minutes most of which youre waiting on the load between pages. It would be better if you could just scroll down for more settings option instead of having to click “next” for the next page. And when programming switches there are only 2 switches per page and for a 12 switch board it took a while just because of the pages. This app is not really in line with the price of the item and its disappointing. ### 2/5 — Great product with soso app *2022-04-08, version 4.0.5* I love my Switch-Pros and have put it in 3 of my builds. My biggest gripe about the app is not having Face ID. The app interface is very sub par but honestly I can get over that. I just hate that I want to lock my switch pro but don’t want to type a password every time. Often, my hands might be super greasy from wrenching and last thing I want to do is type a password. Please update the app! ### 2/5 — Better than nothing *2022-02-10, version 4.0.5* The app is nice because it lets you do all the programming but it is pretty rough to use. It crashes pretty often, you constantly have to go back and forth waiting for the page to load every time. When naming the switches I would type it in and it would some times do nothing or change the name of something completely different. If the app wasn’t necessary for programming I would never use it because it’s pretty bad. Don’t get me wrong the switch pro as a whole is awesome but the app needs a lot of work done. ### 3/5 — Much to be desired. *2021-12-12, version 4.0.5* I understand the functionality of interfacing with the switch hardware is what it is, but man, this app could be so much better. Visually, usability, stability. Work on it. ### 2/5 — App needs some major updates! *2021-09-13, version 4.0.5* The switch pro’s switch itself is awesome but the app will drive you crazy! Load times between functions is beyond frustrating and I lose connection way to often. The Bluetooth range is horrible. Do not get in a hurry to program features because you will be disappointed. I didn’t buy this unit for the app so once I get it setup the actual switch panel works amazing but holy crap is it frustrating trying to get it to work how I want it initially. There haven’t been any updates to the app in years for what i can tell. It would be nice if you would at least put in a little effort and give us an optimization update if nothing else. ### 3/5 — Works but update needed *2021-02-14, version 4.0.5* This app does the job so there is that. But a few requests would be an graphics update. The interface is clunky and you have to go back and forth to program the same switch for function, output etc. It would be awesome to have a simple interface that represents the unit and you can click on a button and with drop downs select it’s outputs and functions. Also an offline function would be great, even when not connected with BT you could see how your device is programmed, make changes and then push it to the device when you connect. Also the app needs to refresh when you go back and forth between modes. Love the RCR12 but please update the app. ### 3/5 — Bluetooth/App needs update *2020-04-19, version 4.0.5* The app works great but it’s start up phase need an update. Every time I open the app it takes a few seconds to boot up in order to use it. The Bluetooth is only connected when the SP9100 app is open. I would much prefer if the SP9100 could be continuously connected to my phones Bluetooth settings (just as any other Bluetooth enabled electronic would). Please do an update to get rid of the slow start up and so that the Bluetooth is continuously connected to the phone. ### 3/5 — Not bad, but needs work *2017-09-04, version 2.3* Decent app, but needs some work. He ability to maximize the size of the buttons within the screen would be great. Combine that with an app that remembers my password and logs in automatically and we would have a winner. Keely working guys! It's almost there. ### 2/5 — Waited forever for this sub-par app! *2015-10-22, version 2.1* Works so-so on my iPhone 6S Plus. Opening the settings didn't remember any of the momentary/strobe/etc settings and everything reverted to defaults. Now I have to set them up again. This wouldn't be so bad except that I can't appear to change anything on any of the settings pages. I've tried clicking everything and nothing works. :( Settings page also doesn't fit on the 6S+ screen very well (somehow!?), and the "next" button is cut off and nearly impossible to use. Having the app remember the password would be great so I don't have to type it every time I connect to my Jeep. I think this is a full on scam to sell a product that has ZERO functional ability to connect via Bluetooth. I personally wish I would have gone with a different company so I could use all the functions of there product. Extremely disappointed in this app and the Switch-Pros company. App frequently crashes during use, the load time to scroll through the menu and customize takes very long, and the Bluetooth distance is very short, maybe within 30ft. ### 1/5 — Terrible App Slow on any Action Taken *2018-12-17, version 4.0.5* Just bought the SB9100 Switch Pros and the device so far is working as designed, but the App is really bad. I get this “processing” loading page that takes a few seconds to load. You get this processing to open the app, to navigate, to go back to previous menu, even when you exit the app... you get this every time you click on anything on the app!!! Totally unacceptable. I called Switch Pros and they don’t even know nor think this was properly tested with IOS lol, are you kidding me? This app needs some serious update and hopefully the developer can fix it quick. ### 1/5 — Does it work for others? *2017-10-29, version 4.0.0* Configuration and use isn’t obvious and seems non-standard. No instructions (does the module need to be on or off?). Install manual only explains Android connectivity and an option that isn’t in the IOS app. What I would expect is to discover and connect to the 8100 module using the phones Bluetooth menu. Then I should open the app to use its functionality. Sure the app could allow you to “discover” the device again but I’m not sure why you’d need to, doesn’t Bluetooth kinda handle that for you? I’ve tried maybe 25 times to get the app to discover the module but it doesn’t. Maybe the module I have is broken, maybe the app has bugs or just doesn’t work. It is a little slow and quirky but it has a lot of different option and abilities to control your switch pros. Being able to use it with the truck turned off and out if it is an awesome feature that I absolutely love. Would love to be able to setup and configure then save and upload when in range. Virtual switches would be cool also. It only works up to like 30FT!!! My friend who has an SPod, his app works even 100+ FT away from his vehicle! I know that new iPhones have class 1 Bluetooth capabilities which is up to 100 Meter range!! But for some reason I am still limited up to 30FT max, please try to fix this! For iPhone's with fingerprint scanner, it would be much convenient using our saved prints instead of typing in our password every time. Auto connect is pretty useless since I still have to use the "search for devices" and manually type in my password. Orientation view is sometimes buggy (half screen instead of full view) Other than that, thanks for the dedicated app!
