## What is Switchback?

Switchback helps you find a trail, plan it, and hike it safely.

FIND TRAILS
• Real trails near you or anywhere you search, with photos, distance, elevation gain, and difficulty
• The town each trail is in, and how far it is from you
• Filters for difficulty, loops, and short hikes
• A map of every trail around you

PLAN BEFORE YOU GO
• Elevation profile you can scrub along
• Weather at the trailhead with plain-language warnings for storms, heat, wind, and ice
• Daylight check: when to start to finish before sunset
• 3D preview of the trail
• Send your hike plan to someone in one tap

HIKE SAFER
• Record your route, even with the screen locked
• Off-trail alerts if you wander away from the trail you’re following
• Sunset reminder 30 minutes before dark
• Share your location with a tap

SHARE AND REMEMBER
• Reviews with trail conditions like mud, snow, or fallen trees
• Add your photos of a trail
• Your trail log with distance, climb, and time
• Export trails and hikes as GPX for your GPS watch

Switchback is free, with no ads. Your saved trails and recorded hikes stay on your phone. An account is only needed to post reviews and photos.
