I stalled it to control a bluetooth music light bulb. However, EVERY time you need to adjust the lamp, or turn it on/off you’ve got to CONNECT! When the app is closed the connection is lost. Ridiculous. It’s proven to be a nice way to set an atmosphere. You definitely need to connect your phone via Bluetooth settings and then through the app in order to enjoy music AND colors. I just wish there was a better system for the colors matching the music. It’s a cool concept but sometimes it just doesn’t match up well. I’d also love to see if there was a setting where a slow pulsing color show could be set, with varying speed options. Otherwise, it serves its purpose and is a nice deal for its price. It’s a light show when you play different types of music. As for the sound it’s pretty not bad at all. Remember is a light bulb. Any louder your light bulb will crack. Other reviews didn’t know how to connect *2017-12-03* To get it to work with TRUE Bluetooth and listen to anything from your phone, connect through your phones bluetooth settings, and then with the app. It will give you light controls and also any sounds you want. Light works well, but the reactive lighting isn’t very good.
