But you can’t even get messages to play easily because (literally) the PLAY BUTTON isn’t even accurate. You might get it to work 1/10 times. Where it wants you to push on a standard sized circular object is beyond me. Also… no voicemail forwarding / email feature, and no fast way to delete junk numbers coming in. Zero effort has been made to remedy the basic flaws of the UI let alone the missing features that are standard fare on any other voicemail system. Please, Sangoma… give me something to believe in? ### 2/5 — Great feature, when it lets you answer *2020-09-16, version 5.1.4* We’ve been using this app for about seven months, and when it’s working, it’s great. But very frequently when incoming calls come in, it does not let you answer them, and becomes a missed call. It’s extremely frustrating, especially for those answering queue calls. Support always passes it off on your Internet connection, even though it happens on every Internet connection the phone is used on, whether that’s Wi-Fi or cellular. It’s obviously a bug that needs to be fixed ### 1/5 — Absolutely awful *2020-06-03, version 5.1.3* This thing is the most unstable, “sort of works, then doesn’t” app I’ve ever used. The latest 5.1.3 series of iOS updates now prevent my device from making calls, cellular mode no longer works, etc. Please scrap this abomination and start over. ### 1/5 — Couldn’t be worse, really. *2020-05-28, version 5.1.1* I am an IT professional, and boy. Constant disconnects even when on local to server WiFi. Notifications work, but don’t show up in the log. Speaker button gets stuck, don’t disable without fighting. ### 1/5 — More Frustrating than an itch I can’t reach! *2020-04-23, version 5.1.1* I am forced to use this app through my office. It doesn’t stay connected to the internet, so most of the time I have to call over and over again, often restarting the app several times before a call will even connect. I’m wasting so much time and this app has cost me so much money! Other than not being able to make a call when I need to, it works fine. lol ### 1/5 — Trash *2019-12-05, version 5.0.3* Doesn’t work. What is the point of having this available if it doesn’t even work? ### 1/5 — Does not work *2019-10-04, version 5.0.2* The app fails to open properly (if crashes immediately) more than half the time. The few times it opens, it will not allow the app to register to the server. I am running lates iOS, latest app version, and latest Switchvox server. ### 1/5 — Very buggy and sporadic *2019-06-10, version 5.0* It works on some cell phone models and not others. It works on some wireless networks and not others. Sometimes everything works and sometimes it doesn’t. So if you are okay with no consistency and dependability you will have zero complaints. ### 1/5 — Very Buggy *2019-05-15, version 4.1.2* Moved to Digium system - for an organization of 400+ users. One of the main features we liked was the soft phone, turns out the feature does not work properly. Phone calls come in to the soft phone sporadically (many times they don’t come in at all despite having excellent wifi or data connection). Same thing when placing calls, buggy, many times the call is disconnected as the other party answers your call. They need to fix this, or just don’t advertise on this feature (DIGIUM). ### 1/5 — Phone call drops *2019-05-01, version 4.1.2* I am using version 4.1.2 on my IPhone. If I am on a call through the software and I get another call on my IPhone it drops my current call. If I am on a call through the software and I leave the current screen, it drops my call. When I open up the app and try to dial an extension it connects but I cannot hear anything. I have to close the app and reopen for it to work each time. It’s very frustrating. ### 3/5 — Half baked, simple app *2019-02-19, version 4.1.2* The app is nifty when it works, but is very much lacking features. There are obvious typos in the app. Sometimes the app will crash. Call handling (transfers, conference calling, etc) are not intuitive. The app as of today might as well be beta at best. Some key features such as easy seamless handoff between desk and mobile are lacking and seem to require parking or transferring calls. Also call history missing. I use this for work. Thank God I get voicemail notification per email too and open them that way. Please fix. How can you not know this? Now I can’t change the status or see contacts. Sometimes it won’t. Sometimes you can view the current call log. Most of the time the log will not refresh, or is missing calls. Same with voicemails. For crying out loud, the notifications for calls and voicemails show up in iOS, but when you check the app they are nowhere to be seen! Digium puts out this mobile crap with a complaisant “good enough” attitude. Does not work. Crashes often. Drops calls after a couple minutes. Cannot receive incoming calls unless app is open and in focus so you have to constantly touch your screen.... impracticable. I've been struggling with their app and upgrades for almost two years, and it's amazing how unreliable the application is. Screens / pages don't populate, it never rings (all notifications are enabled), no call log or history shown (1 out of about 20 times something shows up), and though some days I can make outgoing calls, most days I cannot. Talk about having a mind of its own! Have read their support data and tried all the suggestions possible. With all the awesome VoIP apps on the market (and therefore software engineering talent), how come this can't be at least reliable and usable, even if limited with the feature set? ### 1/5 — The worst *2020-09-15, version 5.1.4* We have to use this for our company since we began working from home. This app is garbage. It never stays connected, people will not be able to hear you mid conversation and vice versa. I love how I am able to keep up with customers, even when I'm not in the office. I recently used this app when we had inclement weather and I was stranded at home. Calls from the Switchvox app now ring in on the normal iPhone interface like any other call. Integrates beautifully now with automotive in dash systems as well. Excellent update! ### 5/5 — Wow - Great Improvements *2016-12-29, version 3.0* Stopped using the previous version due to some security concerns, some issues with connectivity and battery drain - which almost all softphones for iOS had issues with. This version works great - less battery drain, more accurate alerts and notifications and CallKit enablement for true iOS integration. ### 4/5 — Most having issues need good look at firewall *2021-02-03, version 5.2.0* I had to go through a lot of testing and changes to get this to work correctly on firewalls and pass the correct traffic but once I did it works as promised. I would advise many of the low reviews to look hard at firewall allow/deny issues coming from IP addresses attempting to use this app before saying the app doesn’t work. Especially people stuck on “configuring”. That was my first of many hurdles I had to overcome on my company network to get this working correctly but once it works it does work well. It has transformed my office during work from home times in a great way. ### 4/5 — Much improved *2016-12-10, version 3.0* The new version with CallKit support is a huge improvement over the previous version. Switchvox calls now come in on the iPhone like a cellular call so you can answer those calls from the lock screen with just a swipe. The new push notification is also much less of a drain on the battery. The interface within the app looks the same as previous versions, which is a little clunky but still very usable. Only other thing I would like to see is better integration for making outbound calls. For example, allow you to make Switchvox calls from the iPhone contacts list or even from the Phone app (e.g., a "call with Switchvox" option). This may be a limitation of CallKit and not the app though. Note that the new version requires Switchvox 6.3 so if your Switchvox system hasn't been updated this release won't work. Otherwise, if you're having issues with the app chances are it's a configuration problem with your Switchvox system and/or firewall.
