## What is SWLog?

### 1/5 — No MacOS Support

*2026-04-01, version 15.1*

I installed SWLog on my Mac Studio expecting desktop-style functionality, but the macOS experience appears to be the mobile companion app rather than a true Mac desktop application. The app requires a precise GPS location just to function, and on my Mac it would hang at “Getting GPS Location.” I also could not find the desktop/API settings needed to make synchronization work. On iPhone the app makes sense as a companion tool, but on macOS this feels confusing and not ready for real desktop use.

### 1/5 — Love the UI but unusable app

*2024-09-24, version 10.1*

Lot of bugs. Cannot save records. Cannot select band or radio. Keep getting null object error. Wonderful UI but needs lot debugging.

### 1/5 — Don't Waste Your Time

*2024-06-09, version 7.1*

This is a flawed Windows port to iOS. Reported bugs go uncorrected. Several "features" do not work, just return cryptic error message. There is no documention on this program. And any videos are using a screen that is conneted to a pc. Save your time and money until there is a better iOS version

### 5/5 — Nice addition to shortwave log suite

*2023-07-29*

Brilliant logging app to go along with shortwave log . Bob has worked hard to get this to stream seamlessly and import into the shortwave log suite . Treat yourself and try the pc version of shortwave log , along with this app you are covered to go portable and log stuff and then transfer it to main program 10/10 brilliant stuff
