## What is SWM Companion?

The SWM Companion supports an efficient irrigation management. It complements the mobile soil moisture measuring using the SWM 5000 by STEP Systems:

• Downloading logged measurements from SWM 5000 handheld unit.
• Manually take single or series of measurements in different depths.
• Comfortably edit the SWM 5000 handheld unit settings (all variants, with and without display and keypad).

According to the measured soil moisture and dependent of a set soil type, the SWM Companion provides an optimized irrigation recommendation.

Also:

• Easy export of measurements stored in SWM 5000’s memory.
• In preparation: Connect to the web portal of Raindancer – smart irrigation management.

### 1.1.877 — 2019-11-06

• Issues with the Bluetooth connectivity have been resolved and a bug has been fixed that prevented a correct export of saved measurements.
• GPS Positioning for single measurements can be deactivated within the User Settings.

### 1.0.826 — 2018-10-11

If a connected measuring device cannot satisfy the request to take a new measurement (e.g. during calibration), the process will be properly cancelled and the user will be notified accordingly.
