### 3/5 — Could be 5 stars

*2026-03-17, version 1.5.0*

I want to give this five stars but on my iPhone, it’s skewed to the right and I can’t see the last card. It will ask me if I want to play another king (or whatever card is hiding there) but I can’t get to it, which costs me another turn. I think I could win, if I could get to that card. That slight tweak would make it five stars, so I could actually play. Also, I do agree with the other reviews that suggested the option to be able to play the uncovered mystery card before the end of your turn. That’s how we play.

### 3/5 — Can’t see 2 cards

*2026-01-19*

PLEASE FIX THIS BUG!!! 3 cards go off the right side of my screen and cannot be played. It’s very frustrating when I know there’s a card that could be played but I have to hit END TURN because I can’t see it or play it.

**Developer response:** I believe this is caused by custom increases you have made to display size and/or zoom. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you. The app must display a large number of cards in a very small space, and needs to run with close to default settings of your device. (It looks great on an iPad, and landscape is also available)

### 2/5 — needs work

*2025-08-16, version 1.3.0*

User rarely gets natural swoops, but system players get them all the time. Only option for natural Swoop is 4 cards… s/b 5.

### 4/5 — Great Game – Simple, Fun, and Refreshingly Ad-Free

*2025-08-07, version 1.3.0*

This is such a fun card game that I love playing with family and friends—now I can enjoy it anytime I want, right from my phone! It’s quick, easy to jump into, and honestly a blast every time.

What really sets it apart is the experience: no ads, no forced waiting between games, and no pressure to buy extras. In a world where most apps are constantly pushing in-app purchases, this one is a breath of fresh air.

The game itself is pretty simple—no flashy graphics or customization options, and it’s local single-player only. But considering it’s completely free, I really can’t complain.

That said, I’d love to see a few updates in the future:
-Option to choose more players
-A dark mode for late-night rounds
-The ability to save and resume games

Still, even in its current form, it’s a solid, no-nonsense card game I keep coming back to. Definitely worth the download!

### 4/5 — Absolutely wonderful

*2025-07-26*

If the creator is seeing this, you’ve outdone yourself. I love playing this game with my girlfriend’s family on holiday. 2 things. Make it multiplayer please. We all live in different states and would love to play with them as well. Also would it be possible to change the rule about players not being able to play a face down card after initially playing their first card. My family does this and it is tons of fun. Again. Great work!!!

**Developer response:** I'm glad you are enjoying the app. Version 1.3.0 includes two rules of play options (in Settings), although the one you suggested is not one of them. I will continue to investigate the most popular Swoop game options, implementing them when feasible. Multiplayer requires a new separate app, and I currently have no programming experience in this area.

### 4/5 — Fun game with a few glitches

*2025-07-10, version 1.2.0*

Super fun and challenging game! There are a couple issues in this version that I’ve seen. Every once in a while it will freeze and you have to force quit and start over. Also, every once in a while the other 3 computer players start playing multiple cards and my hand gets skipped over.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not fun

*2026-06-13, version 2.0.3*

Too many AI bots playing against you.
I have played 310 games and only won 21. The 3 players you play against always have too many wild cards. It could be a fun game if you dealt random cards to each player. The AI players all seem to play against you. So what’s the point a computer can beat a human?

### 1/5 — Rotation is not working

*2025-12-01, version 1.3.1*

I play this game with friends almost daily, and I am disappointed at your version.
A simple fix would make the game more enjoyable to people with older I phones.
Just rotate the format so that the player can see all of their cards.
How hard can it be. I wish someone would make a swoop card game that doesn’t make the player automatically lose.

### 1/5 — Rotation is not working

*2025-11-10*

I noted that I was unable to use the cards number 9-10, when I played one card first. Thus has caused 10-15 swoops.
I’ve tried to delete the app and reboot the 1.3 version that you’ve said fixes a lot of bugs.
However it doesn’t work!
A little help.
I love the game, but I keep feeling cheated.
I am using an older I phone, this version needs to be able to rotate, because without it the game is handicapped for the AI.

**Developer response:** I believe this is caused by custom increases you have made to fonts, display size, and/or zoom. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you. The app must display a large number of cards in a very small space, and needs to run with close to default settings of your device. (It looks great on an iPad, and landscape is also available)

### 2/5 — You won’t win

*2026-07-10, version 2.0.3*

I like this game a lot but you won’t win.
Also, do you think there would ever be an option to play with friends instead of just computers. That would be amazing

### 2/5 — AI wins

*2026-02-25, version 1.5.0*

Seems so rigged against the human player. Not fun at times

### 2/5 — Fun but not fair

*2026-01-21, version 1.4.1*

The rules are somewhat different than what I learned, but the main difference is that the competition in this game knows what their mystery cards are, but you don’t.

Every game is rigged against the player.

### 5/5 — Great game…

*2026-07-21, version 2.0.3*

I’ve been playing this card game with family for a while and am glad to see a competitive version of this against bots so I can keep practicing to get better and hopefully earn my inheritance. The ad-free experience, simple animations, and overall realistic experience earn this app 5 stars. I have read previous reviews about the computerized players overpowering the user, and while I agree the opponents are very difficult to beat; it is possible, while not common. It takes a lot of skill, strategy, and attentiveness to stay on top. However, the player to my left just seems to get the most convenient cards and consistently has significantly more wins than everyone else. “He” is the only player anyone else cannot beat. It seems a little suspicious and simultaneously frustrating. I am going to keep honing my skills and try to prove this theory wrong, but I am convinced that this player has a bit of an advantage by getting all the right cards. Ultimately, I cannot complain as the app is free and very user-friendly, with several settings that adapt to many scenarios, and gameplay is challenging and consistent. The cherry on top is the developer reading and replying to every review. That speaks volumes for an app and I know he is learning along the way, so I’ll end with this: You have done a great job so far, you keep improving things, and I know you will do what is necessary to make this the best card game on the App Store. I am excited for the success this developer will have to offer in the future!

### 5/5 — Great game

*2026-07-06, version 2.0.3*

This code follows the actual rules of the game which I appreciate!

### 5/5 — It's Got Me Hooked

*2026-06-03, version 2.0.3*

Great app. We recently learned this card game and soon after I went searching for an app. Found this one and like it a lot. Highly recommend.

A few tweaks I would love to see:
- An undo button. Sometimes I fat finger the wrong card or just immediately realize I didn't make the best play.
- Make my screen stay on longer. I often play while doing other things in between turns but then I have to keep opening my phone back up. I wish it'd stay awake longer.
- Make the game stay put even if I have to switch to something else on my phone. Sometimes I come back and it's still in the same game, but most of the time it has reset and I have to start a new game. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. I would like to just pickup where I left it.

Down the road, maybe you could even play with other players?? My whole family would love that!!!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2026-05-10, version 1.5.0*

Very fun game and well written software! It is helpful in learning the strategy of playing Swoop. The bots you play against are smart and know the strategy and this helps you learn to play better. Thanks for this great game!

### 5/5 — Best game ever

*2026-02-21, version 1.5.0*

I play this game when I’m in work meetings. Highly recommend. My fiancé is impressed by how much I play this game.

### 5/5 — Fun

*2026-01-19, version 1.4.1*

I have really enjoyed this. I find it is quite easy to win once you get the strategy, however, I do get challenged.
I’ve noticed recently that if a complete game isn’t finished when I close my iPad, it may reset that game to zero.
Thanks for not having ads. I’m looking forward to being able to play this on a long flight.

### 5/5 — Love Swoop, but please add one more game option!

*2025-11-21, version 1.3.2*

We play Swoop all the time and love this game. So happy there is now an app. One game option we always play that I found in a google search for Swoop rules is…
“When playing a face up card, the same player may then play the Mystery Card beneath it, risking that the Mystery Card is the same or lower value as the face up card played. The same player may then play an additional Mystery Card, which has been previously uncovered, again risking that it may be the same or lower value as what is showing on the pile.”
EXAMPLE: a face-up King is played, player then plays the card be beneath confident that the Mystery Card will be no greater than a King. Should the Mystery Card be a Queen, again it is a low risk move to play another uncovered Mystery Card to the pile.
If the follow-on Mystery Card should be a higher value, player takes the pile.
If a player uses a Mystery Card to start, he may also play any matching cards from his hand.”
Would love if this could be added to the app as a game option.
Thank you!

### 4/5 — Love the game, cards are too small.

*2026-01-16, version 1.4.1*

I love playing the game you created, but my eyes get strained because the cards are too small. I’d give this a five star review if you could make them bigger.

### 4/5 — Good game

*2025-12-29, version 1.4.1*

Game is very fun but feels like each round is rigged against the player. I played to 300 and only won one single round played. Would be more fun if odds were better for the player. Still super fun though.

### 4/5 — Absolutely wonderful
