## What is Swoop IO Route Optimizer?

Build the round, let Swoop find the best driving order, send it to a driver, and watch the proof come back — from your phone.

Swoop IO is a delivery operation in one app. Dispatchers plan and assign, drivers get the day in sequence with navigation and proof built in, and which side you see depends on your role in the workspace.

PLAN A ROUND FROM YOUR PHONE
Add stops with addresses, recipients, time windows, parcel counts and notes. Assign a driver, mark it ready, dispatch. No laptop required.

THE BEST DRIVING ORDER, NOT JUST A LIST
Switch on Best driving order and Swoop sequences the stops for the fastest real drive, measured along roads and live traffic rather than straight lines on a map. Need one stop held where it is? Pin it, and it keeps that exact position while everything around it re-optimizes.

THE DAY, IN SEQUENCE
Drivers open to today's stops in the order to drive them — address, recipient, time window, parcel count and anything the dispatcher flagged as urgent. Upcoming and History are one tap away. No paper manifest, no calling in to ask what's next.

NAVIGATION, YOUR WAY
Turn-by-turn guidance can run inside Swoop, so the road ahead, the next stop and the delivery notes share one screen. Prefer your own app? Hand any stop to Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps instead. It is a setting, and it stays off until you switch it on. Either way Swoop sends the street address rather than a dropped pin, so you arrive at the door instead of the middle of the block.

PROOF AT THE DOOR
Photo, signature, barcode scan or a note, captured at the stop in seconds, to whatever standard the dispatcher set for it. Couldn't deliver? Record the reason in two taps and dispatch sees it immediately. No phone call needed.

FIND THE PARCEL WITHOUT DIGGING
Each stop can carry where its parcel sits in the vehicle — "shelf B2" — so nobody searches the load at every door.

WORKS WHERE THE SIGNAL DOESN'T
Basements, loading docks, rural routes. Everything captured is saved on the phone and syncs itself when coverage returns, and you can always see what is still waiting to go. A dropped bar never costs you a delivery.

LOCATION ONLY WHILE A ROUTE IS RUNNING
Swoop shares a driver's position with dispatch between "Start route" and the last stop — nothing before it, nothing after. That is what keeps customer arrival times honest and times each stop automatically at the door, even with the phone locked in a cradle. When the round ends, sharing ends. Never overnight, never on a day off, never for advertising.

GETTING STARTED
You will need a workspace and an invite code from whoever runs your Swoop IO account. This app works alongside that subscription and does not operate on its own.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-23

Turn-by-turn navigation, inside the app.

Navigate can now show the road here instead of handing you to another app. Turn it on in Settings — "Drive inside Swoop" — and a map with your next turn appears above your stop. Everything below it is the screen you already know: the distance to the door, the delivery notes, Deliver. Nothing moved.

It is off until you turn it on, and off works exactly as it always has: Navigate opens Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze, whichever you picked. If a route cannot be found for any reason, you are handed to your maps app rather than left looking at nothing.

Swipe the turn bar up for more map and down for less. The app remembers which you chose, and it will never make the map so big that Deliver goes off the bottom of the screen.

Spoken turns are a separate switch, under the first one.

Also in this release: a stop no longer prints the same name twice when the business is the recipient, and a stop with no delivery window no longer spends a line telling you so.

Swoop has a new icon — the route itself, a line through three doors. It's a light tile now, so it's easier to pick out of a crowded home screen.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-17

Your name for a door, everywhere it matters.

- Picking a customer from your address book now attaches them to the stop. It didn't before, which is why rounds listed people's names instead of businesses, and a door forgot its delivery window and notes.
- Your own name for a door - "Mida - Newton" rather than "MIDA" - now shows in the address book, in search, and while you build a round. You can set and edit one on the phone too.
- Opening a round to edit it leads with the name of each stop instead of the street, and adding a stop there keeps the customer attached.
- Adding a door that is already on the round asks first. Only when the business, address and suite all match - two businesses at one address are still two stops.
- Typing your PIN used to freeze the app while it was being checked, long enough on a cold phone to look like nothing had happened. The checking now happens out of the way, and the screen stays alive throughout.
