### 3/5 — Search Specificity is a Pain

*2026-08-04*

Essentially the downfall of this app is when you create an alert, the criteria which ought to be simple, can become complicated quickly. Let’s say I create an alert for ads that include the words “Toyota Tundra” but suddenly you’re getting 50 alerts for cellphones, diaper genies, and handbags. When you reach out to the support team, they say to add those search results to “excluded words”… But that’s not how search engines ought to work.

Now has Swoopa worked at points? Yes, and the support, despite in that instance being very unhelpful, have had their moments of going above and beyond. Hence the 3/5 stars.

**Developer response:** That sounds like you may have been using a general search? If you are still having issues which maybe you are because 3 stars doesn't indicate full satisfaction please reach out again. The fact is if you have a car search that is showing non cars then its something we need to review. Please escalate to developers in this case.

### 2/5 — Search alerts very late

*2026-05-22, version 1.27.27*

I get alerted to new posts popping up 10-30 minutes sometimes more after an item is posted even though its supposed to notify me in 3 minutes or less im paying 145$ for a subscription and i am not pleased

### 3/5 — Great app but overpriced.

*2026-05-18*

I think it’s an amazing app but the only let down is the price being a bit too over priced. I know it’s an investment but you’re risking a lot each month.

**Developer response:** If you feel its overpriced you can attempt to negotiate for what you need.

### 3/5 — Good idea, poor execution

*2026-05-01, version 1.27.21*

I’ve found deals myself faster just scrolling marketplace.
Some of the deals I find don’t ever show up on swoopa. I don’t feel comfortable paying for something that doesn’t always work as intended. It’s a good idea just poor execution

### 2/5 — Good but expensive asf

*2026-04-24, version 1.27.19*

Yall gotta lower them prices yall charging monthly fees and yearly fees weekly makes no sense 😂❌what do you mean the cheapest plan is $40 a week

### 3/5 — Works great too expensive

*2026-04-06*

The app tried to get you to pay before actually showing you what the price is. A Search online reveals that it could be upwards of $300 for the best functions. I suppose it can make sense if you are a dealer.
Scraping Facebook’s marketplace/API seems to be some sort of legal Gray zone so maybe we are just paying to cover an eventual lawsuit. Who knows. This app seems like every Facebook marketplace users stream, but the cost is prohibitive to most.

**Developer response:** Please let support know your use case, they may be able to come up with a plan that suits yours needs with a price that matches your needs.

### 1/5 — SCAM

*2026-03-20, version 1.25.1*

Makes you pay for the full month when you try to click the free week option!

App doesn't work at all total scam!

### 1/5 — Misleading “Free Trial” – Charged Immediately with No Clear Warning

*2026-03-18*

I had a very frustrating experience with this app. It clearly advertised a 7-day free trial at sign-up, but I was charged immediately instead. There was no warning or indication that I was not eligible for the trial.

When I contacted support, they said I had used a trial before and therefore wasn’t eligible—but if that’s the case, why show the free trial option at all? That’s extremely misleading.

I also tried to get a refund through Apple, but it was denied, and the developer redirected me back to Apple. At this point, it feels like I’m being passed back and forth with no accountability.

This is not about trying to “abuse” a trial—it’s about transparency. If a trial isn’t available, don’t advertise it. Charging users after presenting a free trial without clear eligibility warnings is unfair and deceptive.

Would not recommend based on this experience.

**Developer response:** While it is frustrating that there is a bug where it doesnt tell you you already had a trial, its not a behaviour we intended. Unfortunately apple do not allow in app purchases to be managed by the developer. This means we have no recourse to any action, we cannot refund ourselves and we cannot escalate anything with them. This is a fact and can easily be confirmed by looking it up. You could potentially escalate it with apple.

### 2/5 — Overpriced

*2026-03-13, version 1.25.1*

Too expensive

### 1/5 — Not impressed

*2026-03-12, version 1.25.1*

I put in search and nothing came up. Not impressed. Deleting app.

### 1/5 — WARNING

*2026-03-12, version 1.25.1*

Be careful with their “7-day free trial.” The moment you click start my free week, your credit card gets charged immediately.
This happened to me twice with this business, so it clearly isn’t a real free trial as advertised. Very misleading. I would recommend avoiding this app at all costs unless you want unexpected charges.

### 1/5 — Buggy as h*ll

*2026-03-10, version 1.25.1*

Nonstop crashes and errors whenever i try to edit a search. Would be a great tool for me if it worked

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible searching filters

*2026-07-22*

Waste time figuring out how to use this app the filters just don’t work.

**Developer response:** The filters do work, if you are having issues just reach out to support and they will resolve it for you.

### 1/5 — Slow slow slow Feed!!

*2026-06-30, version 1.27.40*

Flipify is kicking there tell!

### 1/5 — Absolute Rip-Off, Avoid Like the Plague

*2026-06-13*

$400 for 6 months on the absolute lowest tier?! What a greedy joke. You can’t even get a proper preview before they hit you with the free trial bait-and-switch. I signed up, took one look, and instantly canceled. What a scam.
This app is nothing but a lazy aggregator that scrapes listings from real platforms and slaps them into one ugly interface. Zero innovation, zero value, and massive prices. It’s clearly banking on people forgetting they signed up so they can keep draining your wallet every month.
Total garbage. Don’t waste a single penny on this trash. Just use Facebook Marketplace or OfferUp like a normal person. Swoopa deserves every bit of bad review it gets.

**Developer response:** This is a completely unfair review. At least try the product before bagging it out. There are cardless trials an option.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2026-06-05*

Most overatted app ever

**Developer response:** All of our paying users are making a lot of money using Swoopa. It may feel overrated if you are unsure how to use it. If you want help just ask. support@getswoopa.com

### 1/5 — Trash

*2026-05-20, version 1.27.27*

Bad app

### 1/5 — Expensive

*2026-04-26, version 1.27.19*

Its so expensive for what, there is no AI support also. Are you scam? Not trusted app

### 1/5 — So expensive

*2026-04-25, version 1.27.19*

There is bunch of app, better than that and almost half price.

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2026-04-22, version 1.27.19*

Literally useless app, that makes you pay to use. Shows u information you can find literally anywhere else such as facebook marketplace for FREE.

### 1/5 — Dreadful app

*2026-04-16*

Sat here and got it to resend a sms about 10 times and it just didn’t want to send one

**Developer response:** If you had an issue with receiving the OTP code then please just reach out to support. support@getswoopa.com. This is easily resolved from there.

### 1/5 — Shows heaps of scam listings. Waste of time for the price.

*2026-03-22*

The app says it has AI built in which filters out listings that are likely a scam. This is not the case. Any of the listings that the app categorises as “good” meaning there is profit to be made. You check the listing and the seller made their account less than 30 days ago and they will have a £20,000 car listed for £1,500. Luckily this app has a free trial because you all can see for yourselves how much of a waste of time it is.

**Developer response:** Scam filtering has been improved since March 2026. Note some will still make it through, account age is private information. You should always use due diligence with any listing you consider buying. We have many users who make their living off Swoopa. If you want to give it a fair go ask support for another trial and if you encounter issues ask them.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Useful

*2026-08-15*

Very responsive support team they go on to the account to help you get better results - you really improve it by just completely separating private ads for dealer ads as most of the ads we tend to avoid on the flips is them so should be a private and trade advert section

### 5/5 — Worth it

*2026-06-18*

Absolutely worth it!! Your first deal essentially will pay for the subscription. The customer service is also very good and allows you the chance to work with them directly so easily. I can’t say enough good things, but I will say that this app is ahead of its time. It is not mainstream yet and it is such a blessing to be able to use. It is such an advantage, and it is worth the money-Jose

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-06-02*

Great app. Just needs to filter stuff like breakers and stuff I’ve tried doing it already still showing same things.

### 5/5 — Amazing app. Love it

*2026-05-27*

This app goes from strength to strength. The best out there.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2026-04-13, version 1.27.6*

This app pays for itself!!

### 5/5 — Outstanding 5/5

*2026-03-20*

Not paid, and this is probably my 2nd review ever but this app deserves it. This app is built phenomenally and was able to secure me thousands of dollars in the first week using it. Not the mention they have the best customer service team OF ALL TIME, I’ve actually never spoken with someone so patient and helpful, she/he even set up my entire search for me given my instructions. I can’t recommend this app enough if you’re trying to scale your side hustle!

### 5/5 — Great app but it is expensive

*2026-03-06, version 1.25.1*

Excellent app, but it’s expensive. It’s better than alternative apps like marketplace monitor, but you definitely pay the price for it being the best.

### 5/5 — Was skeptical

*2026-03-02*

Since it’s a newer app and what I’ve seen from them was mostly adds I was skeptical of this app but it does everything promised and I’ve already found 2 great deals

### 5/5 — Perfect app

*2026-02-13, version 1.24.1*

This app is actual phenomenal and really good at finding cars at a good price

### 5/5 — Hope this stays quiet

*2026-02-01, version 1.24.1*

We’re buying lots of cars now. Would prefer this stayed a secret.
