### 3/5 — Takes too long to download/start up

*2026-08-22, version 2.10.0*

I downloaded and launched it and it’s taking roughly an hour to “update assets”. If it’s worth it in an hour when it’s done I’ll let you know. Worst it can’t do it in the background

### 4/5 — Too much memory

*2026-08-04, version 2.10.0*

I want to enjoy this game but the fact that a 2d sprite game takes 10 gigs of storage mostly for fully voiced dialogue and does t give an install option to not have voices at all is a big bummer. I along with plenty of other people don’t mind reading a good story (final fantasy tactics). If I find out there is ever an option to download this game without having to download the voiced audio files I’ll give this game a second chance.

### 5/5 — What a Gem!

*2026-07-25, version 2.1.1*

Top of the genre for SRPGs!

### 5/5 — Excellent tactical RPG

*2026-07-25, version 2.1.1*

Beautiful pixel art, engaging story, and satisfying strategic battles, and also very F2P-friendly

### 5/5 — Un jeu incroyable

*2026-07-23*

Si vous cherchez un très bon jeu qui sait récompenser ses joueurs, vous êtes au bon endroit.

### 5/5 — Amazing game!

*2026-07-19, version 2.1.1*

I am probably not the first to say this, but this is one of, if not the best mobile games ever. The story is extremely captivating, and it doesn’t feel detached. The decisions you make have consequences. You cry for the characters as the follow you into death or into victory. The story of this game shows the stories of refugees hurt by war, the motivations behind large political bodies, the tragedy of death and it’s a story that I have spent hours immersed in. The story isn’t the only part of the game though, there’s also a multiplayer aspect with the guilds and clash, upgrading your characters isn’t time consuming and boring, and though the game can feel grindy at times, it feels worth it. I also like how there are no ads. I have not encountered any advertisements playing this game, which is a breath of fresh air in a sea of mobile games throwing ads at you every minute. I also like the necessity, or rather the lack there of for micro transactions. You can play this game and enjoy it to the fullest extent without paying a single cent, and I’ve heard from friends that play this game that even the PvP system in this game doesn’t require micro transactions in order to be good. I imagine that it would help some, but I have a friend that says the only thing he bought was a skin and a guaranteed pull for a certain character, and he has one of the top guilds in the game. The best part of the game though is by far the story. I love so many of the characters and I love that there are characters that I absolutely hate. I believe that these stories actually have lessons to gain, and they are incredibly well written. One of the first things that was really put into perspective for me was the Papal States of Rodinia. The continent is called Rodinia, and there is a country called the Papal States or Rodinia in the country, and characters from the Papal States often refer to themselves as Rodinians, even though everyone is Rodinian. It reminds me of how in the United States we call ourselves “Americans” even though everyone from the Americas is American. It’s also a very beautiful game, especially for one with a pixelated, retro style. It does a really good job of blending 2d and 3d to the point where I didn’t realize there was actually 3d parts up until very recently. Literally the only thing that I’m not incredibly blown away by in this game is the voice acting. It doesn’t have English voice acting, which honestly is fine, I normally pick the original language of the game when there is voice acting rather than just English, and I find the voice acting to be a little over the top and unrealistic for the setting, however the voice acting is by no means bad, it’s actually really, really good again especially for a mobile game, it just feels out of place sometimes. Not the cat though, the cat’s voice doesn’t feel out of place even though she doesn’t have realistic voice acting either, mainly because she’s not human. I like that she says “meow” after each sentence, at least in the Japanese voice over, while it’s not represented in the subtitles I think it’s really charming. Overall one of the best games I think I have ever played, and I recommend it for anyone and everyone, it’s absolutely insane that this game isn’t more popular.

### 4/5 — seems fun and has cute aesthetics

*2026-07-11*

takes a lot of storage tho

### 5/5 — Rich complex narrative and amazing gameplay

*2026-07-09, version 2.1.1*

This game rivals final fantasy tactics and tactics ogre as far as the story writing and gameplay is concerned. The gacha feels generous, too.

### 2/5 — Not F2P Friendly

*2026-06-30, version 2.1.1*

That’s the review

### 5/5 — Truly a game

*2026-06-28, version 2.1.1*

This feels like an actual game in a phone, something that really draws you into the game and the story and only thing frustrates me is i found this gem so late

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-06-28, version 2.1.1*

I love everything about this game except that some of the rounds are challenging while some are easy. And sometimes the story get repetitive. But everything else is beutiful I love everything about this game

### 5/5 — Low key tuff aura game

### 5/5 — Great game

I’m impressed. Well written story, ur not forced to pay to progress. 10/10

### 4/5 — Fantastic Game - But Will Not Play It

*2026-06-13, version 2.1.1*

This is a fantastic game that looks and feels just like Final Fantasy Tactics of old. However, XD Entertainment Pte LTD is a Singapore company held by XD Entertainment out of China. The data mining and egregious privacy violation is simply not something I can condone. China has been putting some great content out lately. They are doing some great work! But they’re using their good content during a time of western slop in order to harvest data on everyone they can. The PRC is not an entity that can be trusted with personal data. Platforms should prohibit this kind of data privacy intrusion. If this doesn’t matter to you, then enjoy the game. They made it very very good. That’s kind of the point… they know what they’re doing. They know their product is very good.

### 1/5 — Warning: Update 2.10.0 Crashes game client permanently!!

*2026-07-29, version 2.10.0*

This is an awesome game, but Update 2.10.0 Crashes game client permanently!! Do not update until they fix this.

### 1/5 — good game but poor gift

*2026-07-02, version 2.1.1*

So stingy when it comes to giving gifts. They earn so much money from the game, yet they can’t even give players decent gift compensation. On top of that, top-ups are so expensive. The game is good, but it’s completely pay-to-win.

### 1/5 — I’m done.

*2026-06-12, version 2.1.1*

I came back to this game. Every day spending time. Working up resources. Spending some money. I’m building up to make a team of new units. Heshan drops, and I’ve been waiting. Over 100 pulls and I lost 2 50s. This game is WORSE than Genshin. I wish I could get my time back… don’t play this game. It will not respect your efforts.

### 1/5 — Péssima atualização

*2026-06-07*

Agora meu jogo fica travando , toda vez que volto pro lobby

### 1/5 — It’s pretty greedy

*2026-06-06, version 2.1.1*

Their pity system is pretty garbage, ensuring that it’s possible to pull 1k USD on a banner, and still not get a banner unit. (Unless it’s the unit debut, so they FOMO you). Recommended action, pass, and play something else.

### 1/5 — Cant even start it

*2026-05-19, version 2.1.1*

Unable to obtain version info. Just installed and am on wifi. Iphone 17. Agreed to the EULA/age verification, then it stops at “unable to obtain version info”. So unplayable.

### 1/5 — No offline mode

*2026-05-19, version 2.1.1*

Requires constant internet connection - no bueno

### 1/5 — Très décevant ….

*2026-05-02, version 2.1.1*

### 1/5 — Letdown for tactical RPG fans

*2026-04-18, version 2.1.1*

I tried so hard to like this but it’s really just another poorly made mobile game. Many of the game modes are unfun, the UI is pretty bad, the app crashes too often, and it has the unfortunate gacha trope of screwing you on RNG even when you hoard resources. Never worth paying for, and in the end not worth your time even when you’re a fanatic for these types of games.

### 1/5 — Great if you love cutscenes

*2026-04-05, version 2.1.1*

I got fed up with the endless cut scenes that you can't skip

### 5/5 — I Love The Spiral of Destinies So Far

*2026-08-22, version 2.10.0*

It is a bit slow to start (to get to the Spiral of Destinies), but once there I got my mind blown.

I love the Spiral of Destinies so far, I can’t believe a mobile game is this good. The way the story and gameplay is implemented is awesome, I like that I get to spend a lot of time inside caring for my town and the like with an actual story plot instead of some gacha nonsense story like Fire Emblem Heroes (previous gacha I was invested in, quit about 4 years ago). I wish I could do some kind of upfront payment to support the development of Spiral of Destinies instead of having the game be funded by gacha.

The art is also very crisp, I’m a sucker for pixel graphics and the way they’ve implemented the pixel + non-pixel aesthetics is done in a tasteful manner. The characters and designs are likable enough but could use more pizazz. I like that the world is big and full of stories. The music ranges from serviceable to sweet (being upfront, the title theme is the best music in the game). My current main gripe is the music, if it was better across the board my time in the game would be even more immaculate.

In my adult life I haven’t played many solo video games for too long. It has been a long time since I’ve been able to say this, but I’m excited to play more of this video game and see where the story goes and be in this world.

### 5/5 — Greatest game ever (I wanna pet all the kitties)

*2026-08-04, version 2.10.0*

I’ve been playing this since it started, and I’m in love with this world. Please, please do not gacha us like some games have done, we pour ourselves into them and then they disappear from our lives with our money and our memories forever (Looking at you FF:Record Keeper and Disney rpgs you know who you are). They’ve given some of us gaming ptsd, afraid to try a new game by them. I’ve cried for these characters, labored, loved. Please never stop this beautiful world, it’s all I have left to escape this angry, ugly Western world. Much love and respect!

### 5/5 — Keeps on being fun!

*2026-07-29, version 2.10.0*

I’ve played this the longest of any mobile game. Great fun and keeps your interest!

### 5/5 — Fun

*2026-07-29, version 2.10.0*

I have been really enjoying this game since download. I love the gacha phone game mode but it also has story modes where you build up your team from the story or you can use your gacha characters as well. I love the diversity that is all in one game not to mention the voice acting (from the Japanese actors haven’t heard the other ones.) is incredible and that art is very good. I haven’t played a lot of games for years let alone phone games but this is taking up a lot of my time because it’s very fun.

### 5/5 — Luckily

*2026-07-29, version 2.10.0*

I’m just got 2 god of games in 10 rolls

### 5/5 — Fantastic. Two years daily play.

*2026-07-29, version 2.10.0*

Great game. Great devs. Very small spender friendly.

### 5/5 — Perfection

*2026-07-29*

This game is a hidden gem, truly
I’ll never stop playing this game

### 5/5 — Still playing this after 3 years

*2026-07-29, version 2.10.0*

Great game I always play daily, especially if you like these type game. Story’s and events are decent and not too much time sink.

### 5/5 — A beautiful game

*2026-07-28, version 2.1.1*

A tactics game with pixel graphics, a JRPG-esque story, and an OST by the music composer of Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XII.

What more can I say?

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2026-07-28*

Decent game all around, feels nostalgic in a way, it just needs more marketing to gain more players
