Completing the game in 300 days is almost impossible for a casual and you're getting 1 shot by almost every boss that you don't have the perfect gear for. Since mobs are so scaled above you it seems like there hit chance is always above 70% no matter how much defense you have ### 4/5 — Bom mas falta balanceamento *2024-11-17* O jogo é bem divertido e da pra gastar umas boas horas nele, também tem seu valor nostálgico porém numa engine e aparência atualizada. O problema do jogo é o balanceamento. Tem estratégias e classes que são claramente melhores que as outras, e isso faz com que a jogabilidade fique repetitiva e perca seu valor de “rejogabilidade”. Os atributos são completamente desbalanceados, então no late game todas builds ficarão muito similares - e isso porque os bosses de fim de jogo se tornam mais difíceis ao virarem pilha de stat, não demandando mais tática ou afim. I grew up with swords and sandals and I decided to pay 4.99 for the ultimate edition only to realise they’ve butchered the game. By the way, the ultimate edition doesn’t even work so nice scam. Nothing like the OG games. ### 1/5 — Just confused *2023-12-01* Not really sure how to beat literally the first guy. He regens 23 health ever single turn. I can only do max 50 damage. But he can also run away the whole match and nap which just gives him full health. Boot up the games in browser with Adblock and enjoy the experience! ### 2/5 — Actually beat the game and just disappointed *2023-10-13* Theres barely any replayability as it takes a gruesome grind just to get the end. The game barely tells you what to do for an end goal besides “prepare for final boss in x amount of days” that isnt hidden in the the rushed text dialogue, even though I defeated the person that took my place to fight the final boss. That killed all my motivation to do another character. I will give credit with all the ads being short but they seem to frequent after almost every fight if you start 1 shotting enemies even tho grinding lower level enemies is almost a must. Difficulty is a whole other issue with random bosses depending on your playstyle will just be almost unbeatable even if youre several levels and power above them. It makes you build your character off whatever boss youre stuck on, having to waste level up points on ways to counter the boss instead of being able to focus on your own build which the games tries to incentivize. The town events dont change so after the first playthrough youll know which options to pick every time as most of the town adventures have choices between lose stats or gain stats with the occasional lower level gear you can get. Dont even get me started on the hit chance mechanic as some bosses unless youre super over leveled will be a struggle to hit if the game has them set up that way. Theres a lot more smaller issues but I just wouldnt recommend this to anyone that isnt already a fan of swords and sandals as a newcomer to the series myself. Fight, get gold, get gear, skill up rinse and repeat. There is strategy or you can play on easy and just enjoy yourself. Haven’t noticed the issue where the screen is completely black at night or anything else people are complaining about. Looking forward to future dlc, would probably be pretty simple, new map new story.
