Constantly logging me out and forgetting my information. Charger is great. App terrible ### 1/5 — OTA bricked the charger *2026-08-21* It was working fine for the past 6 months, until I got an OTA update today, and ever since the OTA, it keeps restarting and stopped working at all!!! ### 1/5 — This is not a smart charger at all. *2026-07-03* If you have EVEMS installed at home you might want to avoid this charger and look at the Grizzl one. As soon as your EVEMS stops the power goes to the charger, you’ll need to get to the car and unplug and re-plug in your charger for it to charge your car again. Imagine you waking up to your car that wasn’t charged. You can do better SWTCH. Explore some analytics!! … … Oh… This app literally has zero functionality, it does nothing other than tell you how much kWh you’ve consumed and how far you are from getting your $300 back. Its customer service is ABYSMAL. I had ordered a SWTCH charger last Christmas and paid my $330; there is still no shipping although at time of order the expected delivery was “late January”. 10+ email exchanges always ended up talking with an AI; there was no way to reach a human. My EV has been sitting at home for over a month. Now I am going away on a planned trip for a few weeks and I actually wanted to find out if there is a tracking number so I can track the shipment because there is rampant package theft in my community: no answer. I will be suing SWTCH if the package is lost while I am away. **Developer response:** Hi, we’re sorry for the frustration and inconvenience you experienced. Pls fix *2026-07-17* The video instructions for connecting the charger to wifi etc. does not have any visuals. Only plays sound. Pls fix (iPhone 11) ## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — The only App I have that pays me! *2026-08-15* When I heard about SWTCH giving out free chargers and paying people to charge I was obviously skeptical. However, it’s real! They paid me back for the charger and I’ve already received a payment of real $$ into my bank account! I charge overnight and pay $0.11 kWh to charge. SWTCH pays me $0.10 back… so… I only pay one cent per kWh to charge? This is great! ### 5/5 — Works as intended *2026-06-30* The app does what it was designed to do, which is track your earnings progress while you use the provided charger from SWTCH. All the charging features that I notice people complain about are negligible because those are features are available within the car itself. Unless, not all cars are made equal. Regardless, this app is for tracking your earnings through the home charging program and pay you for it, not provide you with charging features. ### 5/5 — App has clear rebate credit tracking *2026-06-30* App clearly tracks accumulated rebate while simultaneously tracking charger refund. Able to update previously greyed out boxes now. ### 4/5 — Simple and clean *2026-05-24* Does exactly what it promises and no more. Set up charger to the program. Set up stripe. Track the energy you used and the associated credits. For everything else, refer to your EV car’s own app. Note: app does not track live charging activity, it will only update accumulated totals once a charge is complete; after you unplug the charger from your car. ### 2/5 — Stripe not working *2026-04-08* Not able to use Stripe to enter bank account details Access blocked: Stripe’s request does not comply with Google’s policies ### 2/5 — Very basic app with very limited function *2025-12-29* The app has basically no function at all other than registering for the home charging program. Come on! Add some graph data analysis to it. You can do better.
