## What is Sych?

Sych is a live map of air-raid alerts in Ukraine, and a siren loud enough to wake you.

WHAT THE MAP SHOWS
Every region under alert, coloured by raion rather than by oblast — the state declares the level per raion, and inside one oblast they differ. The colour is the state's own: yellow for a drone threat, red for a missile one. The hatching says what is actually in the air over that place — drones, cruise missiles, ballistic weapons, guided bombs, and the aircraft that carry them.

ALERTS
An alert reaches the phone within seconds of being declared. The siren plays at alarm volume even when the phone is on silent, and that is deliberate: a quiet notification at 03:40 is one you sleep through. The all-clear arrives the same way, immediately.

FREE
The official alert and the all-clear for the region you choose, the map, and the feed of what is happening. No ads, on any tier, ever.

PRO
The warnings that come before the official alert is declared: ballistic launches, missiles in flight, drone groups and the direction they are heading, guided bombs. Up to 32 regions instead of one.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.5.0 — 2026-10-13

• Near me: tap «I'm here» next to the place tabs, and for an hour, three, or until morning Sych rings loudly for anything flying within 2 km of you. Tap the plate to see which place names it rings for. Your location never leaves the phone. Available with PRO.
• New home-screen icons: Eye and Radar. Pick one in Settings, under «Appearance». Available with PRO.

### 2.4.0 — 2026-10-11

• Clearer wording in the sound, quiet-hours and notification settings.
• Small fixes.

### 2.3.0 — 2026-10-09

• If a message from us was missed or swiped away, Sych shows its text as a card the next time you open it. Once, and never during an alert.
• Under «Quiet» it now says in words: the last alert, from when to when, and how long it lasted.
• The alert card for a district now goes away with the all-clear.

### 2.2.0 — 2026-10-07

• The «Alert» or «All clear» plate stays at the top, and everything else scrolls with the feed — from anywhere on the screen.
• When there are so many threats that the feed is pushed below the screen, the «Updates» button at the bottom takes you straight to it.

### 2.1.0 — 2026-10-06

• Warnings from the U.S. Embassy: when the embassy in Kyiv warns of a possible major air attack, a red line appears on the home screen and the map — until when, and why. Only from the embassy's own website.
• The radar beam on the map turns about the geographic centre of Ukraine, as on the website.
