The official 2026 app for the Sydney Film Festival allows you to explore, connect and streamline your Festival experience. 

The SFF app lets you: 

Explore the Festival program:

	- Browse ‘What's On Next' at the Festival 
	- View both free and ticketed events

Buy and download tickets: 
	- Go paperless: your tickets can be scanned directly from the screen
	- Buy tickets securely with your credit card anywhere, anytime 
	- Buy passes and redeem sessions immediately 
	- Add your tickets to Passbook
	- Add your sessions to iCal

Schedule your attendance and share with friends: 
	- Create a shortlist of events through your Wishlist and connect it to your calendar

Left your printed tickets at home? 
The app stores all your ticket barcodes on your device regardless of how you purchased (web, phone or in-person). Door staff can scan your ticket right from your device's screen.

Good luck trying to see your booked sessions if you use dark mode on your phone. Emailed support with screenshots a month ago and got no response. You’d think for a film festival app they’d consider the UX for people who might be using the app during the night when they’re seeing films.

The SFF app makes planning, buying tickets, remembering when & where the films are so much easier (still not easy). The ❤️ function especially improves planning, when there is sooo much to choose from.

Decent UX except for the lag. This app freezes to load frequently and it’s incredibly frustrating. I love this festival and find the app an easy way to check screenings and purchase tickets but the lag is killing me. Please fix!!

I enjoy the atmosphere, the venues and the films that I have opportunity to watch were great. The organisers, volunteers and all the staff… congratulations.
And the app works really good and helps me get through al the information about it.

When in the cinema foyer, when I selected My Tickets to bring my tickets up, the App told me to Login & of course I couldn't login being inside the cinema & there being no signal.
I had to go to the Box Office to get my tix printed. Once outside I went to re-login to the App but it immediately logged me in automatically.  So basically the App was hopeless for showing tix. In hindsight I should have added them to Apple Wallet which I did for all my other tix so I don't have to use the App again.
