Every so often i re-download this app to see if they still charge extra for using Apple Carplay and yes they still do. How many other satnav apps such as Google Maps, Maps or Waze charge for this or live traffic info or map updates? Answer: none of them! ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-10-07, version 26.5.4* I use to love the app and used it often when I lived in New Jersey, now I live in McDonough GA and I seldom can get the app to calculate routes anywhere and when it does it takes a ridiculous amount of time. I’ve tried to change my home address without success, the app freezes up. I am considering canceling my subscription. I am now having trouble submitting this review. ### 5/5 — Solid navigation *2026-10-04, version 26.5.3* Good app quickly changes route if you go wrong useful roundabout exit info ,easy to read .up to date camera info .all helps ### 1/5 — Awful Map Colours *2026-10-02, version 26.5.3* I would use Sygic but the available maps themes are terrible. The standard one looks dated and ugly. The modern one is too dark with terrible contrast making roads near impossible to see on the flip side the light mode is too bright and makes your eyes hurt. Sygic either needs to add the ability to change the colours manually, add a modern theme that is lighter on dark mode and darker on light mode or add a new theme. Additionally I would like to see 3D buildings as we see on Apple and Google maps along with smoother movements. As it stands, Sygic is a great navigation app but made usable by the poor maps colours and contrast. ### 5/5 — Fantastic Navigation *2026-10-01, version 26.5.3* You really couldn’t ask for anything else. Sygic has everything you need and many things you didn’t know you needed. ### 1/5 — Lane guidance is now hidden by the zoom buttons rendering it useless *2026-10-01, version 26.5.3* I rely heavily on the lane guidance. The latest build that was released near the end of September 2026. Now forces the menu buttons to be on the top layer and hides the lane guidance unless you actually stare at it while you’re driving creating a safety issue. It defeats the purpose of purchasing this app. Would go back to Google Maps or the default Apple app until Sygic figure figures out how to fix this terrible bug. ### 2/5 — Traffic Not Working US - East Coast *2026-09-30, version 26.5.3* Traffic is not working. I thought it was because I had a lifetime premium license. And that I needed to upgrade to premium plus. So I did that still no change so I wasted money. It’s not loading me the traffic. I’ll be in the traffic and it is still so green to my destination. Or either I’ll drive right into the traffic and then it’ll be delayed and tell me that my route has traffic. I don’t understand what’s going on. This app used to be perfect. ### 5/5 — Very helpful *2026-09-30, version 26.5.3* Lifesaver ### 3/5 — Powerful but switching back to Apple maps *2026-09-28, version 26.5.3* After trying it out twice, on familiar routes, these are my findings: Sygic told me it couldn’t find a route. After I went a little way and tried again, it worked. Dropped me once while I was en route. Perhaps user error. I was going to be on Road A for 12 miles or so. Instead of telling me after 12 miles to turn left on Road B road, it told me, with every single light I went through, which lane to be in and to keep going straight, often telling me to keep going straight two or three times per intersection. Over and over again. I made an adjustment in settings, turned off lane guidance, and I noticed no difference. I would prefer a simple setting and just to be told to stay on the road for X miles and turn left on Road B. The Sygic Voice is a mechanical voice, not a natural voice. When I chose to go a different way from the provided route, it took a very long time for the app to re-calculate, kept trying to get me to make U-turns instead of allowing me to go on my chosen route. I needed to turn left onto Road B from Road A. It is not a hard left, but I was still turning onto a different street. Map app told me to continue straight onto Road B (not instructing me to make the needed turn). If I had not been familiar with the intersection, I would have taken the wrong road. ### 1/5 — 3D maps stopped working *2026-09-26, version 26.5.3* I have the premium+ but the 3D maps not available in CarPlay any more I canceled auto renewals due next week. Tried everything shows only 2d maps not what I paid for there should be a refund. I noticed that when parked I get 3d maps but when driving it changes to 2b maps wast of money better use free maps. ## Frequently asked questions about Sygic ### What is Sygic GPS Navigation & Maps?
