So handy for the beach and we visited so many other places and of course the weather was brilliant with the sea breeze keeping it a bit cooler. The cottage is so cosy with the lovely conservatory and little garden. Apartment was more than adequate and had lovely view of the canal with all the boats. Nice canal walks with the dog. Easy reach to Nantwich and we had interesting few hours in the secret bunker. The only downside was no bins outside to dispose of dog waste, which considering lots of people had dogs on their barges and apartment was dog friendly seemed a little bizarre. We did mention to a lovely friendly lady in boat shop who agreed. Opportunity to get back to enjoying the sounds of the countryside and chilling after the stress of modern life. I have called for customer assistance (during business hours) and been referred to the online messenger. Each the messenger says an agent will be right with me. It has been four messages and two days and no response. The same with the last time I rented either them. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your experience with our customer support. Could you please provide your booking reference, the dates, and any message timestamps or agent names so we can investigate and escalate this with our team? And the customer service and the other end of WhatsApp was horrible when trying to get help, started trying to get help on the Thursday and by Monday there was still no answers, just keeping you waiting saying they were looking into it and be back shortly and felt they were very sarcastic with the exclamation marks !!! and being told “your welcome” after I explained nobody was helping. Felt like they were being just plain rude. ### 1/5 — Our stay in 2 Whiterow cottage. *2026-05-09, version 7.14* We can thoroughly recommend 2 Whiterow cottage in Powfoot. It is in a prime position on the seafront with a fantastic view of the Solway Firth. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need, very comfortable, with walk-in shower and a kitchen with every appliance you will ever need. There are places to eat, indeed, the Powfoot Hotel is only 50 yards away, wonderful food, but you need to book, its very popular. Other places to eat in the surrounding area within easy reach.Powfoot is well positioned to explore Dumfries and Galloway. Having rang to inform them we would not be using the cottage as the prime booker had had an amputation and was seriously ill in hospital, we were told they could not talk to anyone other than prime booker. We could only notify the cottage owner by contacting them directly. The final insult was 2 emailed from Sykes one saying our holiday was nearly over. The other asking how we enjoyed our holiday. The lack of empathy a very distressing time was appalling. Hung on 15 mins on phone. It is now set up like the public utilities. Not interested. Tried to overwrite the automatic £25 Bloom discount but for the second booking time of trying it was refused. It has a lovely warm and welcoming feel. Our children particularly liked sleeping in the bunk beds and it was nice being so close to the Forest of Dean. It had everything we could possibly need, with all the amenities you could want, really comfortable beds, great TVs and a lovely, comfortable sofa area to relax in. We also met Jack, the owner, who was really helpful and welcoming and made us feel at home from the start. It was perfect for our two Maltese, as dogs are very welcome and the garden is safely enclosed, which gave us real peace of mind. 🐾❤️ The location was brilliant too, with lovely pubs and restaurants within easy reach, making it so convenient for going out and enjoying Narberth. A really comfortable, welcoming and dog-friendly cottage in a great location.
