## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2023-01-26, version 2.7.0*

Can’t get past the log in screen. Helpful!

### 1/5 — Cant change answers

*2020-10-07, version 1.10.0*

Accidentally locked my Duke card because the app doesnt let you change accidental answers after submitting.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work at all

*2020-08-13, version 1.6.0*

Every time I try to log in it fails. Reads back an error message, reinstalling didn’t fix. Literally unusable.

### 1/5 — Thrown together in an afternoon

*2020-08-11, version 1.5.0*

I’m so confused why so little effort is going into this but there is such a high expectation of Duke students using this? Horrible app. Horrible plan for the fall. Who’s idea is this?

### 1/5 — Absolutely garbage

*2020-08-08, version 1.5.0*

So easy to misclick on your status and there is no way to revoke it. No confirmation button or whatsoever. A high school student can make a better app.

### 2/5 — Not a thermometer?

*2021-01-18, version 1.14.0*

Thought this app would take my temperature for me. Bummed.

### 2/5 — Glitchy

*2020-10-05, version 1.9.0*

I have to delete and redownload symmon every. Single. Morning. In order to report my symptoms because it sends me to a blank screen whenever I click that link unless I redownload it. I support the purpose of symmon, it’s just so frustrating to use and after two months these errors are getting super old.

### 3/5 — Sometimey

*2021-07-23, version 1.17.0*

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Blank screen after tapping report symptoms. I use the reminder email to log symptoms 50% of the time.

### 3/5 — Hmmm

*2020-09-23, version 1.9.0*

There are plenty of people at duke that could write an app 20 times better

### 4/5 — Functional

*2020-09-23, version 1.9.0*

For the most part, this app is quite functional. The interface is straightforward, and it does what it needs to do without much fuss. However, I do find that the barcode scanner is sometimes a bit finicky.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works fine

*2020-10-07, version 1.10.0*

No problems using it—simple and basic.

### 5/5 — Mucn better than the website

*2020-08-28, version 1.7.0*

This is much easier than the previous web version!

### 5/5 — Work good.

*2020-08-27, version 1.7.0*

No issues. Loads every time. Easier than website.

### 5/5 — Convenient and streamlined

*2020-08-27, version 1.7.0*

So much better than the online redcap survey system they had employees using this summer. Wording has also been improved, so less work should be missed for experiencing infrequent but normal symptoms (e.g. caffeine headaches, brief exercise asthma, etc.)

### 5/5 — In this together

*2020-08-13, version 1.6.0*

We all have a responsibility to slow the spread of COVID and symptom monitoring is one way to do so.

### 5/5 — Great app for an unfortunate process

*2020-08-13, version 1.6.0*

It not convenient to have to submit this on a daily basis, but this app makes it easy to meet Duke’s compliance requirements.

### 4/5 — Does what it’s supposed to...

*2020-09-10, version 1.8.0*

It’s not the sexiest app... but from what I hear, COVID-19 isn’t that sexy either. It’s the way we record symptom-monitoring for Duke and scan our test kits. These functionalities work fine.
